    Hey, thanks for the recipe. So you guys, I've tried it and I got some tips. If you don't like the garlic so much like I do, try to toast it or fry it in oil before mashing them. And I put spicy chili in the noodle cuz I love spicy.

    i made this today, and it was pretty good! The only critique I have is that when you put the vegetable and meat packet in, it doesn't cook after you put the noodle water in. Next time, I would probably cook the vegetable and meat packet with the noodles first, then put it in.

      Have you ever tried it with the black pack? I don't have the red but have the black and really want to try this. The broth in the black pack is already thicker than other instant ramen broths and it has a third seasoning packet so I'm curious if anyone has tried it that way and if so did they put the main seasoning packet in the broth or in the bowl with the egg? And of course I want to know if it's as good as the red pack this way? I don't want to mess it up.

    • @theangrycheeto
      @theangrycheeto 3 года назад +2

      @@singhalhiya How was it? I've never tried this method before but my trick is to do a soft boiled egg or two and then add all my ingredients to the ramen but right at the end when I'm turning off the heat, I'll swirl in an egg and stir it in and let the residual heat cook it. It's not the slightest bit raw. It makes the broth creamier and more nutritious but if you're worried about slimey raw egg whites or chunky half cooked whites, or just neon yellow undercooked yolks, you don't have to worry the way I do it (as long as you don't mess up the soft boiled eggs lol). The surface area of the egg once stirred in is large enough to cook it very quickly with just residual heat but its perfect so you don't get chunks of solid egg yolk either :)

    • @singhalhiya
      @singhalhiya 3 года назад +2

      @@theangrycheeto this is so so so helpful. thank you so much for giving me your recipe! I'm going to definitely try it. ramen is my favourite food and I'm always trying new stuff.
      if you'd like to know my recipe, I add finely diced garlic and mushrooms to my ramen (optional) and a tablespoon of sesame oil. along with this I add some vinegar + soya sauce, black pepper and half a teaspoon of sugar. I add these in the very beginning when the water is just boiling and then add the real seasoning packet\sauce packet when the noodles are 90% cooked. Try it out!! sprinkle chopped green onions on top!

    • @theangrycheeto
      @theangrycheeto 3 года назад +2

      @@singhalhiya That actually sounds really good 😮 I like to add thickly diced garlic, a bit of sliced kimchi, a dash of fish sauce, gochujang samjang, gochugaru powder and the seasoning packet to the water and I let it cook for maybe 5-10 minutes until a lot of the pungency of the garlic is gone and you get subtle garlic flavor.
      Ive recently started adding pre frozen rice cakes (tteok) to my ramen to make it rabokki style. I think you have to soak the rice cakes for a few minutes in water and then I add them in at the same time as the noodles. In Canada, you can find them at korean supermarkets. Make sure you compensate with extra water for the rice cakes if you do add them and have enough boiled water ready to add if the rice cakes soak up all the broth. I like to add thinly sliced mushrooms, julianed carrots in for the last 2 or so minutes as well. I add green onions in at the last minute and a little more at the end to garnish too.
      If you make soft boiled eggs beforehand like I like to do, you can marinate them in soy sauce for up to a day or 2 or you can crack them in and poach them for 2-3 minutes if you don't have time to marinate the soft boiled eggs.
      Let me know if you end up trying some of the methods I use if you like them :)

      The heat cooks the egg after about 30 seconds to a minute if you stir it up like that, which I recommend if you want to mellow out the heat of the spice and boost the flavor if the spice. If you like the heat of the spice, leave the egg yolk whole, and let it firm up an extra minute. Still tastes darn good both ways

    • @MrConniex3
      @MrConniex3  3 года назад +2

      Thank you for being open minded and asking questions :)
      Eggs are safe to eat when brought up to a specific temp, usually 60-70 degrees celcius, if instructions are followed correctly, the boiling water is 100 degrees, it'll be hot enough to bring the egg to temp. But also don't forget that pasteurized eggs are safe to eat. And many countries have eggs that are completely safe to eat raw (e.g. Japan).
