Made Everything But the Bagel Ramen tonight thanks to you, Beryl! I even got green onions for the pop of color! It was legit *delicious*!!!! The sweetness had a decent bang because of the red chili flakes and the Junji Ito shirts and sweater make me feel like you're a long lost friend. Hi, even i prefer dry rather than soupy :)) I'm confident that you'll like my recipe. I'm from India and this recipe is of maggi. First, finely chop around 2 green chillies ( we need to make it medium spicy, not too spicy okay?) then finely chop 4-5 garlic cloves. mix in the chopped chillies, garlic, a little ginger paste, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce, a pinch of salt, half tbsp sugar ( very important) and maggi masala. Dont turn on your gas yet. then, add just a little lesser than 2 cups of water while mixing it in carefully, add your noodles and cook till the consistency of broth is kinda thick, not too soupy and not too dry. Put a cheese slice in it while it's still hot and mix it in until it melts completely and all the noodles are coated uniformly with it. The melted cheese will make the consistency of broth even thicker, like a cream. That's it! I hope you enjoy your maggi, Love from India.

I sort of “invented” an instant ramen hack when I was a kid. We were out of saltine crackers and I wanted tomato soup, but tomato soup has never been very filling for me on its own. So I was looking around the kitchen for carb sources to make the soup more filling and I spotted ramen. I just cooked the noodles in with the can of tomato soup and milk and it was pretty good. I may actually do that again soon for old time’s sake. Then I used the seasoning packet from the ramen on popcorn.

Lotus foods is a good option, as well as some others I don't remember the name of, but there are more and more healthy alternatives to cup noodles that are just as good. Beryl, I tried your peanut noodle recipe from a previous video and fell in love with it. I seriously make it all the time. Over time, it has evolved a bit though - you might try it with the additions:
Peanut Noodles Remixed (changes with an *):
Cook instant noodle, do not use the flavor packets save for another day
Drain noodles (* do not cool down), and put back in the pan
    * Add an egg and stir to get a carbonara type effect
    In a bowl add:
1tbsp honey (add less for less sweetness)
    1 tbsp rice vinegar
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp chili paste (add more to make spicier)
    1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    * 2-3 tsp corn starch to thicken
    Mix.
    Add noodles
Add chopped coriander (* I never have it though and leave it out)
    Top with sesame seeds
I definitely need to try these as well. I had totally ignored ramen but there is so many yummy things you can do with it!

First hack: butter and shoyu are a classic paring in Japan. It's great with any kind of pasta. Second hack: I saw this when Ryan over at Way of Ramen first posted about it. I believe he was the first one to post about it in English. I tried it with the noodles he used (Sapporo spicy miso) and loved it. I did think it would be better with a spicy Korean ramyun, but before I got a chance to try it, I lost my sense of taste. This was in early February. It's still not back yet, but I was so glad to hear that you got yours back so quickly. One last thing...Aaron and Clair have a couple of videos on Korean ramyun hacks that you might want to check out. In particular, he used Jin ramen to make a sauce like tteokbokki. It's so good! I do use less sugar than he does because I don't like it that sweet, but that was another favorite back when I could taste my food.🙄😊

There's nothing wrong with ramen (or any other food) so long as it's eaten in moderation. It was created to be a very cheap meal with enough fat and protein to power someone through their day while keeping them feeling full (note: while of only middling protein content itself, Ramen does have some and can be easily customizable to add more quite cheaply- a package of ramen with an egg added is about 1/3 to 1/4 of the required daily protein for an adult)

I’ve found the joy of Mi Goreng stir fry noodles. While Shin black will always hold a place in my heart, the Mi Goreng is so lovely and my IBS stomach doesn’t hate me afterwards. I cook the noodles, then in a separate bowl mix all the seasoning except the chili sauce (again IBS) you could totally add it for your taste. To the seasoning mix I add a dollop of Kewpie Mayo, and one large egg mixing it well. When the noodles are finished, I add just enough water to the seasoning mix to help cook the egg. I like mine pretty dry so I don’t add a lot, couple of tablespoons at the most. Then add drained noodles and enjoy.

Add a teaspoon of sesame oil and sliced green onion. Light and delicious! Sometimes I will also dice up a bit of raw shrimp in there too for a heartier soup. That just gets added to the finished hot soup and left to sit for a minute to "cook" in the hot soup.

The sauce that being made for Jin Ramyeon for the first recipe remind me about sweet soy sauce? In Indonesia we call it Kecap Manis. And btw the first recipe remind me alot about Indomie Goreng. Just with a pop of Boncabe and lil bit of Kecap Manis.

I often cook my instant ramen in milk. It's especially good with spicy ramen. Just add milk (or milkalternative) and the spicepacket to a little pot, add and cook the noodles. It makes a kinda creamy sauce. And if you want you can add cheese on top in the end. :)

I had the egg, mayo and garlic ramen for the first time a couple days ago and COULD NOT BELIEVE how rich and creamy it was. I thought it would just taste like mayo but it because so viscous and homogenous and UGH just so good, especially with a spicy seasoning packet.

On bottom of bowl one big spoon of peanut butter, one of Oyster sauce and half a soon of Sriracha . Quick mix leaving peanut butter almost solid, pour over noodles and broth. To die for !

I like to think of mine as a leftovers recipe. I usually make it when I have a bunch of cabbage leftover from another meal. In my instant ramen recipe I use whatever pack of noodles I have (because in this recipe I don’t use the seasoning pack). I boil the noodles and drain the water. I put a little bit of sesame seed oil on the noodles and mix. In a pan a little vegetable oil or whatever neutral oil and like 2 cups of sliced cabbage and stir fry. Add like 1/4-1/2 tsp sugar and some soy sauce. Stir fry some more til the cabbage is kinda brown and then add like 2-4 cloves of chopped garlic (depends on how much you like garlic). Add chili flakes. (you could add bacon, diced ham or shrimp at this point but you don’t have too .) Add the noodles in put more soy sauce to whatever your liking and add some oyster sauce. You could scramble and egg too and just mix it in. Don’t forget to top with green onion!

I have a recipe. I call it Ramen Omelet.
    Ingredients:
1-2 Pack of Instant Ramen (I use Indomie Ayam Bawang)
    2 Eggs
    1 Small Carrot, Diced
Neutral Cooking Oil or Butter for frying
    How to:
    - Boil the noodle per instruction
    - Beat the egg and use the seasoning packet as the seasoning
    - Put inside the diced carrot into the beaten, seasoned egg
    - Put the noodles into cold water to stop the cooking and prevent the egg from curdling by carryover heat
    - Mix evenly
    - Prepare the pan and heat up a tablespoon or two of cooking oil or a big knob of butter
    - Cook it like what you would to with an omelet
    And voila. Ramen Omelet.

What I do with my ramen is thus; when the noodles are finished, I drain it slightly, add 2 slices of American cheese, add butter, add black pepper, add the seasoning packet, add a whisked egg, let that stuff get to know each other for 30 or seconds, then plate. It comes out so good!
I recently bought kewpie mayo to try the 2nd recipe since it has been circulating a lot recently. Can't wait to try it!

When I was younger I often made instant noodles with tomato base sauce. Sautéd garlic & shallot, add scalion & celery, add egg on the side and then added chopped tomato. After the tomato become mushy add a bit of water and then you cook the instant ramen.
And these days I've been making this noodles again but with improved sauce. Garlic, onion, chili oil, tomato, tomato sauce & sesame oil.

Here's an instant ramen recipe for you:
Types of Ramen needed: Shin ramyun spicy black, Sapporo icchiban tonkatsu. Use half of the seasonings from each.
Put in one tea bag of each black and green tea into the water. When the water looks like it's about to boil, pull the tea bags out and squeeze them. (Yes, I know that's a no-no. Yes, I know it releases bitter tannins. LET IT. You want that, I swear. Bear with me.)
When the tea starts to boil, add your noodles and cook them 2 minutes. Yes, I know the directions say 3, do 2 anyway. The noodles will be extra springy but fully cooked at the end.
Beat an egg as you did here for the second Ramen dish, but add a tablespoon of seasoned rice vinegar (Sweet and sour elements. Sweet mellows with the bitter tea tannins and you need that acid!) and 2 tablespoons of toasted sesame oil. Put half of it into your bowl and add the 2 half seasoning packets and a teaspoon of fish sauce into the bowl.
Put 3 tablespoons of olive oil into a pan and add the other half and cook it in a thin layer; like a crepe. ALTERNATIVELY, you could just scramble it. Lol
Add the hot tea to the half egg and seasonings in your bowl, then stir to combine. Add noodles and combine again, finishing with the cooked egg. Stir the egg in and top with a pinch of cilantro you can then mix in for more flavour.
This is one of my favourite ways to eat Ramen at home. 😉

I swear, the algorithm is a scary thing.
Today I had a ton of work and had to eat instant ramen, and as I was opening RUclips to watch something while eating it, your video appeared. Anyways, eating plain ramen depresses me, so I always try to fix it up a little bit. Today I added the spices that come with it, but also some sliced bell peppers, a spoonful of peanut butter, a dash of coconut milk and a bit of chili oil to make it spicier. Upon serving I also added a Ramen egg, chunks of raw onion and green onion. It’s really nice, it has this kind of curry flavor and the broth ended up super rich. Long live instant ramen!

Beef ramen with the flavor packet broth, frozen chopped spinach, fresh grated ginger, sesame oil, lemon juice, sriracha, and a touch of low sodium soy sauce. So easy and satisfying! Also, I pour boiling water over the bowl after everything is in, so I never get mushy overcooked noodles, which I hate, plus no pan to clean.

When I crave a pumped up ramen, this is what I go for: I put leftover barbecue chicken bones (I use the meat for other meals), cilantro stems and an onion in a pot, along with garlic and spices, if I have some around ,and let simmer 30 min. Then, after having coocked the noodles in another pot, I filter the broth, add an egg yolk while stirring, put the noodles in, then the egg white (stop stirring at that point) and top it off with cilatro leaves and a bit of sesame oil, Delicious! The yolk makes the broth creamy. I keep the whites intact by cooking them after having stirred the yolks in.

So Maggi with onions and green bell pepper is my go to comforting instant noodles!
But when I’m bored and want to complicate some simple Maggi 😂 I do the below and call this “Maggi, You Don’t deserve this”:
So first you gotta boil just the noodle and drain it.
Then in a pan add a tsp of oil, and sauté some chopped onion, then u add some ginger garlic paste, sauté till raw smell disappears.
Now you add the Maggi masala, quick stir and some chopped up leftover cooked chicken or any other meat u find in the fridge, even sausages would do.
So now u add abt 1/2 a tbsp of soy sauce, green chilli sauce to taste, then some diced green bell pepper, nd once soy sauce bubble u can add the noodles, quick stir to combine and finally add a good Amount of chopped spring onion..and that’s pretty much it 🤣

We cook the ramen noodles, discarding the seasoning packet. Then add cut avocado, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and Italian dressing to taste, then toss together. Sometime we add other things like sesame seeds, carrots, or the like. It's good hot, or cold. I bet that everything bagel seasoning would be really good, I'll have to try that!

When I was a kid, I would cut up some potatoes, carrots, onion and saute them in a pan for a bit, while preparing the noodles separately. Then I would add in some Italian seasoning and the ramen flavor packet. Then I would add a small amount of water and the noodles. SO it was like a veggie noodle stew. SOOOO good! And simple!

I just found you and have been binging so my hack is late. I use the Nissin Top Ramen Chicken flavor bowls. I make them the regular way using the dry seasoning packet, but add some teriyaki seasoning to the water, then after they're done I add the liquid flavor packet, a dollop of ginger paste, a generous squirt of sriracha, a big glug of apple cider vinegar, and some more teriyaki sauce. Stir it up and you have this broth that is reminiscent of hot and sour soup. I like it better than the noodles, but I don't leave anything in the bowl. Really warm and delicious on a cold day, it warms you up from the inside. Love your channel!
