Apparently the people who criticises has no sense of cultural at all. It is really common in Korea for vendors to sell ramen. Be respectful and stop being so arrogant.
It's exactly because it's so common there that it feels stranger. It would make sense here, since there's not many better alternatives, but over there? You can find a ramen shop that sells ramen 10x better on practically every street corner
People please stop talking about how you can make this at home. We all know you can make this at home, this lady knows you can make it home, but you are not at home! If you fancy some ramen then order it.
sabbage100 people are forgetting the entire concepts of restaurants. Like yeah you can make something cheap at home (like tacos instead of Taco Bell or hamburgers instead of McDonald’s) but this is for convenience and NOT HAVING TO MAKE IT
It's funny because you can make your own french fries, hamburger, sandwich, coffee, fried rice etc by yourself yet people still go to Cafe, McDonald's etc lol
Yeah You could still make “everything at home” whether it be pasta, pizza , sushi the point of going to a restaurant is that u DONT WANT TO MAKE IT AT HOME
I see this poor lady have some haters they cannot cook like her definitely but blessings to her cause some people dont no better they just know how to be rude and hateful ugh .where is the love
Not trying to be a hater here. But instant noodle is meant to be more convenient than the other food mentioned above so should be made at home instead of paying for someone to cook. Even fries are difficult to make to MacDonalds quality. What I see different here is the variety of ways to prepare the noodle which I think is the selling point.
People realize that this is no different then going out and ordering french fries. It takes like 5 minutes to reheat frozen french fries and chicken nuggets yourself yet you still order them at mcdonald’s because it’s convenient and sometimes you’re craving it while you’re not home.
French fries is a bit more labour intensive to prepare than a package of noodles. I know these require a bit more steps than your classical brands like "Mama" but I suppose if you allowed it to steep it would be just as edible as any other instant noodles. Those other ingredients can be easily dehydrated if you have time.
@@eile4219 clearly you fail to acknowledge the logistical requirements of these two dishes. I 100% agree with your comment. The difference between french fries and ramen is that Koreans love ramen. There's so many different flavors of ramen available in Korea and it's often a craving. They have ramen making stations in Korea as well. So for those people dissing this lady and saying that fries are harder to make than ramen don't understand the cultural aspect of ramen in Korea.

I spent a year and a half in Korea in the 70's. Had lots of great food from street vendors. I like the way she adds fresh vegies ti the pot as well as anything else you would want. That shoud be some great ramen.
I would definitely let her cook ramen for me even though I can make it. I don't even know if I could add all this extra ingredients for $3.00 bucks in the states
For people that are wondering. That whole thing costs around I say $3-4 in terms of Korean currency. A ramen pack can cost $1, she used 1 egg, vegetables, and cheese and she done the whole cooking process. If this was in the U.S. People would be selling this for maybe about $9-12 because of the economy. But I can imagine selling something like this near a college dorm with the same price then maybe they can break and make a profit. But we all know that dream is unlikely.
In Japan, for the same price at a ramen stall, you can get a full bowl of fresh noodles with freshly cooked broth, ramen egg, slices of charsu pork, menma, spring onions, the lot. You’re telling me that a packet of instant noodles and a bit of fresh produce and a fckin slice of kraft single is worth more than that? Let’s not pretend that this is anything more than just laziness.

There's lot of asian restaurants that lets you choose instant noodles as a side dish so it's not that surprising. What is unexpected for me is the fact that in a restaurant setting the same consumer item is used instead of some type of bulk packaging.

some people in the comments are forgetting that every culture is different lol Koreans sometimes don’t have time to eat. sometimes they go to the market to buy groceries and want a quick snack, something to fill them up/give them energy before continuing their shopping.

I am Colombian and married to a Korean, I prepare the ramen as he taught me, but now I know new ways to cook it for him. Fabulous video and what a unique way to cook lady, I love Korea 🥰
Try using whole milk instead of water. If you use skim milk, I am not responsible for that.
Boil the noodles until almost done in water and drain. Now boil the milk with seasonings and veggies of your choice, and add noodles.
Thank me later.

People saying they can make it at home 🙄 This is a self treat! If you’re out and suddenly craving for ramen, it’s available for you! If you are a student who is so tired and just wanna sit and eat, this is available for you! (Well, in korea not here in America 🤣 ) I wish we have one here! Especially when it’s winter!! Ugh! I’ll be sooo willing to pay and will treat myself! (Well if corona is not Kill joy 🙄)
Imagine you are craving ramen when you out but far from home, should you go back home just to make ramen? Lol. But here in my country we have people sell cooked instant noodles (not exactly like korean ramen as korean ramen are expensive here where i live), personally I ate those when I'm out of home and stranded somewhere and it's raining, especially cooked instant noodles tends to be cheaper than other menu lol
@@rchrch4922 some vendors just directly in front of the Chem department at school sell instant stuff, too. Noodles (which you could totally cook at the dorm but don't). Hardboiled egg (ditto). And maybe some fried foods, too.
True! I wish we had this on campus.

I've gotten Uber eats for taco bell 3 blocks away from me when I was drunk. So I have no room to throw shade at someone cooking instant ramen... It also looks fun to eat it straight out of the pot

What's funny is she's not hiding the fact that she's making it out of the package and sells it cheaply with soul vs if you go in a restaurant, they charge you 3x more from a cheaper ramen brand behind the kitchen without love.
Idk about cheaper since you can get the exact same ramen 5 in a pack for a 1.50 where i live.....i would say its for lazy folks who don't wanna cook for themselves even though you can have the same experience at home with leftovers for much much less...but hey im not downing her hustle shes just taking advantage of the lazy.

I love watching these videos for me it's so unique how they cook ramen noodles all different techniques and ingredients that they put into it. It looks so yummy.
Shes like my granny. Great chef, makes the simplest of things the best. Love you popo, miss you tons.

RUclips is on a roll getting us one by one with these videos... I need smell-o-vision and taste-o-vision.
Sell this across my street and i will get ready and leave my bed to go buy Ramen from that lady!
@@fenton9408 If you have been to Korea. You would understand the reason they have stalls like these for students.
@@fenton9408 This style of street food developed after the Korean War, when their population was recovering from the conflict - times were tough. Now these dishes are regarded as comfort food.

There's lot of asian restaurants that lets you choose instant noodles as a side dish so it's not that surprising. What is unexpected for me is the fact that in a restaurant setting the same consumer item is used instead of some type of bulk packaging.
Instantly I became level 0 on preparing ramen....
This is the cleanest streetfood i've seen/watched! From the utensils, to preparation and serving. This is so nice.
I have this same ramen at my home often, and it’s spicy! But she adds even more with the sliced fresh jalapeños! Wow!! That’s some serious heat! 🥵
I love the spicy... Theres a different brand that's even spicier! Omg try adding cream to the broth, it's amazing!!! I saw it on a video similar to this one, and my Raman has never been the same... For serious, try a cream broth 🤤🤤🤤... (1/3 water, 2/3 cream)

This is like warindo in indonesia. and believe me, it tastes more better when we buy it than make by ourself.
Warmindo bukan warindo
I'm Indonesian too, if I may give you an advice, the people who don't live in Indonesia have no idea what "warindo" is. It's better if you explain what "warindo" is so they know that this kind of shop doesn't exist in South Korea only.

some people in the comments are forgetting that every culture is different lol
Koreans sometimes don’t have time to eat. sometimes they go to the market to buy groceries and want a quick snack, something to fill them up/give them energy before continuing their shopping.
Even though it’s just noodles...I think it’s nice to have someone else cook for us, serve us, ...and do the clean up for us, makes it a special day for me. I somehow feel a notch above poor, but sometimes guilty that m not going to at least help, with the dishes . God Bless this hard working lady 💕
I used to buy this kind of soup at the supermarket and I try to cook it like this video but I don't have those Korean ingredients :c so it doesn't taste like this I would like to try it with kimchi :c I'm from El Salvador btw :c
I think the extra vegetables are Japanese mushrooms, just find a mushroom available to you and slice it. Shredded carrots, chives, and leeks
added food for toppings she also used dumplings , but you can replace it with some meat like chicken breast or beef/pork.
Sussy same 😥 but what I used instead of those ingredients was meat, some shrimps, green onions and carrot.. I guess it wasn’t like this one but I tried 😬
And I’m from El Salvador as well
