When trying to motivate my toddler to get into the car seat, get dressed, leave the house I use the "can you get your shoes on before me?" As a race or "can you climb in the car seat before I say Abracadabra 5 times?". Toddlers don't have a grasp on time or the need to hurry. Giving them something more concrete most often helps her understand the sense of urgency and she is less distracted by other things.
I take my 17 month old to the playground every single day. He has so much fun he meets other neighborhood kids and it helps me not feel so bad about putting him in front of the tv while I prep dinner. I used to meal prep purées but now that he’s older I stopped. So I loved your tip about continuing to prep and freeze ready made food even for a toddler.
That is so true about distractions. My little girl loves playing with the light switch and cracks up with the thermostat. We don’t know why but it’s so funny to watch. And seeing herself in the mirror after some big feelings really works well too and she perks up right away. She even tries to give the mirror kisses, it’s so adorable. I also can’t agree more about a bin of goodies. We learned early on this trick with our now 8 month old. I always love these videos! Thanks for sharing!
My 9 month old loves kiss me more by Doja Cat. She can be crying and as soon as I put it on she stops. Mainly use it in the car or at the end of a walk like you said. I played it all the time when I was pregnant. It has worked every time for 7-8 months it’s crazy
I love that the HN lip butter made it into the 'bin of goodies' - I also have a bin for diaper changes and the lip butter has always been popular for my babe too!
I’m not a mom but I love watching your videos! You are a great role model for healthy living and such a stupidly awesome mom. That diaper bag i would love as just a big purse.. I’m basically a big baby anyways so it fits. It’s just such a beautiful bag I may have to get it..
What diapers and wipes do you like for sage? And does her pink plate suction well to the Tripp trapp tray?? I can’t find anything that will stick well!
I love your meal prep guides for the week. What are your thoughts on doing one for babies? Sometimes I have a hard time thinking up stuff for my little one to eat thruout the week!
Diaper changes are way harder than they need to be! Lol I remember when my son was around that age he used to try to roll around to get out of diaper changes, it was so frustrating lol

Hi Nikole, loved the video. I have been using the same freezer storage silicone containers but every time I freeze cooked chicken or fish portions….I am unable to get rid of the smell off these by following the cleaning instructions. Could you kindly tell me know how to clean these so they don’t retain the odors? Thank you 😊
If they are pure silicone you can put them in the oven at around 250 degrees F for 30ish minutes. A smell will come out of the oven for a bit then goes away. We do this with our silicone ice trays. It’s an old kitchen trick.
I'm from the Caribbean babies moving around when you change them is not a thing. I never get why kids overseas do that. We literally don't have that issue. You say stay softly and firmly and they stay it's not difficult at all
Do you have advice on getting my 1 year old to ear more solids? I’ll show him new things and he’ll move my hand away. He’s still mainly on purées . Please help 🥲

We have nappy bags in the uk for dirty nappies instead of having to use dog poo bags. They are often scented too!
We can get them here too but dog bags are cheaper and you get way more

giving our baby an electric toothbrush turned on (but not one we actually use) during diaper changes works great for us!

Baking soda is amazing to get rid of smells !

As soon as my son turned 9 months, diaper changes completely changed. Toys are definitely a must!
