Expecting my second any day now and this was still super helpful! The only thing I’d throw out there for all mamas is to just be mindful of the Weleda diaper cream or any baby body products that contain the top ten common allergens in them. Unfortunately that Weleda one has both sesame oil and almond oil. Our daughter developed a life threatening allergy to sesame and not knowing this contained sesame we continued to use it on her and it made her rashes worse, of course! I myself had no idea top allergens were in baby products like this so just wanted to share 🥰
I was watching with my daughter and she fell in love with Sage. Got me thinking and I wanted to pitch a video idea which is what you guys did to help Sage become a big sister and how Sage has stepped into being a big sister. We’re expecting our second at the end of April and I’m trying to make the transition as easy for her as possible. Cheers!
I love almost everything you listed, the only one I would say no is the nose Frida, not because it doesn't work, it works great except it got me sick almost every time my baby got sick... until I found out Haakaa Silicone Baby Nasal Aspirato. I strongly suggest you to try it out! It not only works great but also more environmental friendly. The most important thing is it doesn't get mom sick lol
Okay so interesting because I’ve wondered this exact thing about if I can get sick from sucking out the boogers… I think I have the Haakka one. Is it just a squeeze one?
You probably just got sick from being around him. When one gets sick on the house normally the whole family eventually gets it. I have a suppressed immune system and never seemed to get sick from it. I didn’t take long inhales though into my system.
Oh! Also I’ve been wondering/surprised that this channel has never said anything about cloth diapering. Would definitely be interested to hear Nikole’s thoughts. Would’ve thought she would do cloth to avoid the chemicals in disposables
My 1rst kid is now 18 months old. Starting to think about baby no2. Good recommandations! ;) For baby carrier, I really liked the Ergobaby Embrace. For the car seat cover, in Québec, the brand "Petit Coulou" is very popular.
Our babies are about the same age so I love all these recommendations! The diaper cream I got because you recommended it and we have never had any problems with diaper rash! His pediatrician was even amazed how well his skin looks. Perfect time for this video!!
Thank you so much ☺️ bless you ❤ I am so overwhelmed and idk who to listen to, mother in law, my sister, cousins, my own mother 😢😢😢 this helps me so much 🥹🥰
I have a 2 month old and I attest that this list is perfect. The only things I don't use is the carseat cover because my little one is only ever outside in the carseat for like 30 seconds and the contrast cards because hubby and I use high contrast clothing instead. But otherwise I totally use every single one of these.
Idk if im late but when my son was born, after his stump fell off we would wash him twice a week but around 1 or 2 months we realized he smelled like oil (completely normal as the baby develops), and was starting the cradle cap stage. So we started bathing him every other day since then and it’s a great routine for us. We will give him butt soaks if he;s had a poopy day. 😅He’s 17 months now.
Every baby need vitamin d 😊 breastfed or bottle fed😊 maeby easier give with spoon. What ever works for u! But everyone need check with peditrician how much u need to give
7:03 I'm sorry, does that say "$4,602?" If you want to/can spend that on a carrier, then go for it. But no one will EVER convince me that a carrier is worth that price 😂
Portable white noise machines are awesome, but louder does not equal better, and sometimes it can actually be TOO loud and even damage your baby's hearing. Hearing damage can often never be fully reversed, so keep in mind that just because it seems like a normal loudness to your adult ears, that when you have that same noise within 1-2 feet of a baby's ears, it could be deafening. So yes, it works nicely to drown out noises for them, because it is literally could be the equivalent of running a hair dryer or a vacuum cleaner right next to your head. White noise machines should be at least 7 ft, or 2m, away from your child's head, and/or kept below a volume of 60dB (some sources even say under 50dB). For context, 60dB is the same as the average electric toothbrush, and 50dB is equivalent to a light rain. OSHA guidelines require hearing protection for workers if the environment is 85dB or louder for more than 8 hours, and 85dB is somewhere between a vacuum and heavy traffic. If you're worried, you can download the NIOSH Sound Level Meter App from the CDC website and test the noise level where your baby sleeps.
swaddling baby to sleep alone is very dangerous becausee they can wiggle and the swaddling can come loose and suffocate baby. Baby sleep son their back only, Use a sleep sack only , one that zippers.. no blankets, toys, bumper pads or pillows
Hi! Where can I input discount code when buying the book? I could not find any field in which I could write it for getting the discount when going to checkout. Thanks
I noticed the end of the nose sucker isn’t on properly (part that goes in your mouth) wondering if you don’t actually use it or if that’s how you actually use it lol! Totally curious, love your content !! 🤍
I need to comment for all the mothers out there or Afraid to be moms because of Money. You DO NOT did all this stuff, this is the result of capitalism... I am a mother of a happy 2 yo boy and we had a minimalist approach.. Just bought: - stroller (with basinett that you can use at night and the second seat for when baby is older) we use the same since birth - breastpump machine (used because you never know how it will be your journey) I have been breast feeding until now and I pumped during 9 months - Hakaa for the first 6 months very useful to catch the milk from the other breast when you are feeding the baby - baby carrier omni 360, that I used at home in the beginning and we still use it in the street - play gym actually interesting for the baby - the hospital and during the appointments you get a lot of free stuff. Creams were not necessary in the first month. - cloth diapers will make it cheaper and you can you the cloths they sell to swadle the baby and clean the baby.. - car seat. - bought the breasts pillow used and just used 3 months and sold it again - vitamin D and the nose cleaner you should check with your pediatrician No need for: - portable noise machine, there are thousands of videos in youtube and you can use your phone - humidifier ( you can just use your regular one when your baby is sick) - portable night light ( you can just open the curtain or turn the lamp) - no bouncer or any chair moving..those are expensive and you will get tired of it fast.. Baby needs to be next to you or daddy. You can use the baby carrier..
I always find comments like this interesting because I’d hope anyone becoming a parent has the critical thinking skills to realize that these products are “nice to haves” based on Nikole’s personal experience. This is not a budget/minimalist account so why would you expect to get a budget/minimalist perspective from this video?
I’ve just learned about artipoppe’s questionable practices and messaging about women’s bodies, so kind of bummed to see Nikole promoting their products here :/
Everything mentioned in the video is LINKED in the info box! Let me know if you can't find a link to something I mentioned in the video :)
Some of the links seem wrong? I cant get the baby carrier reference 😢 do you still have it by any chance?
Thank you so much… I am studying so much for my “exam” of a baby girl in few months and having your channel is so helpful

He is just the cutest baby!!! Thanks for being so real!! I’m about to have my second in a week and love watching your content!!!
I'm pregnant with my first! Currently and adding these items to my registry/wishlist and saving for later
So excited for you and your soon to be family ☺️🤎

I have had 2 kids 10 n 5 this video of no use to me but so knowledgeable to be updated wow nice video
I looked up your “newborn must haves” video from when Sage was a new born and most of the blog links didn’t work, so I’m glad you posted this! 🙌
I may need to go back and update them! Thank you for letting me know. Sometimes links change and expire after a while
i also recomend looking into magnetic onesies it helps with fast changes in the night and not catching the skin with the zippers

Totally agree with all of this!!
Okay so interesting because I’ve wondered this exact thing about if I can get sick from sucking out the boogers… I think I have the Haakka one. Is it just a squeeze one?
But how do you know that's what makes you sick? I always got all my baby's bugs anyway.
Agree with you on this 👍

That makes me so happy to hear!
Perfect timing! I’m working on our registry this week and am so overwhelmed. Pregnant with my first and due in July 😊
I hope this list helps! Let me know if you have any questions about anything
I’m due in July with my first as well! ❤😊
I’m also due in July. This will be baby#3
Thank you so much ☺️ bless you ❤ I am so overwhelmed and idk who to listen to, mother in law, my sister, cousins, my own mother 😢😢😢 this helps me so much 🥹🥰
I’m honoured to be a helping hand while you prep for baby

My baby is due the week of Halloween and i never thought of a car seat cover. Thank you for that great idea. Very excellent idea.
Having my first baby next month in April and I've been binge watching your videos. ✨ So informative!
Aw such an exciting time 🥹You got this!
I got an electronic nasal aspirator for $19 and it was SO much better. It lights up and plays music too!
I find the electric one I have doesn’t work as well for little newborn nostrils
@rashellgeisler6733 which one do you have?
Love your content Nikole
Very helpful ❤
Great video! Do you have a diaper bag you recommend?
When will the HealthyNut cookbook be available? I purchased both the baby and toddler downloadables and would love your other cookbook.
The link for the baby carrier isn’t working for me. What is the brand and style?
Loved your 19 Newborn Must Haves video Nikole. ❤❤❤❤❤
so happy to hear!
Where is your mobile from above the changing table?
"Oakley i have limited clothes that fit me " made me laugh so hard, just to relatable 🤣
Can you do a baby hygiene routine. How you keep him clean throughout the day. How often do you bathe him? Thank you.

Where is the little cloud brush holder from?!😊
What's the brand of Oakley's sweather? So cute 😍
How do you clean the snot sucker out though, that’s my question. Lol.
You rinse it. You will come to absolutely love and need it lol
He is soooooo cute!
Great video! Oakley is gorgeous handsome boy! 💙💙
I LOVE YOUR MOM VIDEOS ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ CURRENTLY JUST POSTED REMOVING MY NEXPLANON BIRTH CONTROL ❤❤❤❤❤❤ HOPING TO SHARE THE JOURNEY JUST LIKE YOU ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

That was in foreign currency, I’m not sure which. It’s about $390 online though. She lists the links in her bio.
@snacksandsunshine605 I just checked and there is currently one on the site for $3,800 USD. But you're right, most of the others are $390.

Best part of the bjorn bouncer: it’s essentially a baby laxative 🤣
How old is Oakley? My baby is 5 months old and Im trying to find good toys for him!
Hi! Where can I input discount code when buying the book? I could not find any field in which I could write it for getting the discount when going to checkout. Thanks
If you’re on mobile it can be tricky to find. When you’re checking out click on “view summary” and there should be a drop down to enter it
You look amazing ❤
aw thank you
Where did the stand for the Lovevery mirror come from ?!
It came from lovevery but I think it’s a new version because the one we had for sage didn’t have the stand
His lil’ smirk 30 seconds in 😭
Nose frida is the best
Agreed!
Awesome dear 😊😅🎉😂❤
Do you have links to any of the tummy time floor books, I can't find them on amazon?
its all in the blogpost and linked in the info box :) Let me know if you cant find something
I don't have a newborn. I'm just here to see baby Oakley 😅❤
My day has been made haha
Wait. That Lovevery mirror comes with a stand?! Is that new, or did I accidentally throw mine away? 😂😂
I noticed the end of the nose sucker isn’t on properly (part that goes in your mouth) wondering if you don’t actually use it or if that’s how you actually use it lol! Totally curious, love your content !! 🤍
How many children do you have?
The snoo bassinet is for $1695 😳😳😳😳Omg!

First I’m hearing about this. Honestly I can’t keep up with cancel culture these days and what’s in and what’s out. It’s mentally exhausting
Yep! People jump on the cancel train way to quickly without questioning.
