You think they dont know this or get off to it. The Speculation will be TOP THRILL @ IS NOW OPEN. Guarentee this is how it will be. There wont be an update it will just be open. The more speculation the more anticipation there will be for people to go ride it once CP says TT2 is operating TODAY
Last commercial on television I saw advertising season passes they were pushing "ride Top Thrill 2 all summer."
Hope they don't get in trouble by Kennywood did with Steel Curtain.
Kennywood pushed season passes with the promise of Steel Curtain and opening day ,or close to ,they announced it would be down all season and now they have a class action lawsuit against them.
@@gyme6077funny enough I was just thinking of this. It’s definitely unethical, but I think it’s illegal as well to advertise the product that isn’t available. I can’t believe it’s still the front page of the website as well(even though there is a banner stating it’s currently closed). Wondering if it will be like Covid year again where the passes roll over into the next year
This is exactly what myself and others were predicting a year ago when this project started taking shape. Zamperla 1st big project should not have been dragster. We all seen this coming. The park ,Rob Decker,Tony Clark all owe us an explanation of what's going on. The park and it's silence is almost like they are avoiding the topic

Rob Decker isn't with Cedar Fair anymore. He retired in 2019.
Please.... to get Tony Clark to admit anything except the fact that he feels everyone else is below him, would be like pulling the horn from a live rhino.
Just spent the week there after traveling from RI and stayed at Lighthouse Point. I saw absolutely nothing going on from Tuesday- Friday. All 3 trains are sitting there. Magnum has gotten extremely rough, Maverick was down for most of 3 days and even Gemini was down multiple times. We are huge Cedar Point fans, but too many rides and shops were closed. We’ve never experienced this here and we are huge Cedar Point fans. Millennium Force was old faithful ❤❤. It was just sad to see things like this. We booked this trip in January for TT2.

I agree with you. My wife and I have been season pass holders for years, but CP needs to get its act together to be the park it used to be. Waaay too much stuff is down/not staffed and to me it makes no sense anymore to buy a Fast Pass when so many rides aren't up and running for who cares reason(s). CP could print money with those Fast Passes but forget it nowadays. I won't buy them. I'm sure the shareholders are happy, though. That's the important part, right? Nevermind your customers, CP. I'll start voting with my wallet.
I honestly believe it's down for the rest of the summer! it takes time rebuild and modify... They made a big miscalculation, and have to eat crow. I'm a big Cedar Point, was just there Thursday!! They shouldn't rush this process!! I hope i'm wrong about this, but i have a good feeling i'm not!!

The encouraging thing (even if it's a stretch) is that we haven't gotten a PSA from Cedar Point saying TT2 is down for the year
I'm still hopeful the ride reopens in July, but we'll need to see more signs it's close before we can guess a date at this point
If the track is not handling the stress well between the old track and the new track, then this ride won't open till 2025. The fact they haven't had to remove any track yet is promising, but maybe they are exploring all options before having to resort to a brand new track (if that was the issue)
Either way, Cedar Point is smart to keep everyone in the dark, because if they promise a reopen date, they can't afford to open it past that date.
All very valid its hard to discuss this cause definites or maybes are all so… well maybe who knows you know 😂😂
Sorry guys if I were Zamperla I would not have taken such a big risk. I understand big rewards comes from taking risk, but on the flip side, you could end up losing everything. Zamperla could be the biggest loser if they don't correct this soon without any additional problems. A graduated approach is always the safest. Zamperla started smelling themselves after they perfected making cup cakes. Instead of moving on to a bundt cake, they took an order for a multi tiered wedding cake and ended up ruining the ceremony.

I've been going to Cedar Point since I was literally born. My parents took me a couple weeks after I was born and I'm now 49 years old. We've put off our trip this year waiting for TT2 to reopen. But this extended closure with little-to-no updates has me wondering if the potential problem(s) might have been catastrophic, and the company doesn't want everyone to know how bad it really is/was? I've read people's statements that when they rode it, that it felt like the train was about to shake itself apart Then you have the wheel assembly situation, which kind of makes sense now. In my honest GUESS, I would say that the length of the closure going forward will determine how severe the issues really are/were. If it opens up in the next couple weeks, then it probably was just some problems that aren't too big of a deal. If it remains closed the rest of the season, then one has to wonder how dangerous the ride might have been when they opened it up early in the season.
Oh it definitely rattled me after 1 ride… got on fully hydrated and full felt fine got off with a headache and was pretty miffed the rest of the day lol.. wondering whats going on
Holiday World in Santa Claus, IN rocks! Family owned business where you feel that YOU the guest are #1, NOT shareholders. HW cares about its guests and it shows. Oh, and they have what is widely considered to be the best wooden coaster in the planet. Reasonably priced admission, free parking and free sodas at the numerous kiosks situated around the park. Short wait times, no Fast Pass needed and every ride was consistently up and running all day. My wife and I will gladly frequent that park. CP? Not so much. Wake me up when CP is CP again.
Holiday World is my home park been going there my whole life the legend the voyage and thunderbird are some the best coasters around was looking forward to going to ceder point for my first time this summer really was excited to ride this whenever it does open back up

Cedar Fair (Six Flags??) went cheap, with the biggest attraction at their flagship park. That’s how we got to where we are.
TT2 will not open till next season at ghetto Six Flags. It needs all new trains. The aluminum chassis on the trains cannot withstand the stress caused by launches. This is a disaster. If i was in charge, i would have had Zamperla in court a month ago. Zamperla was not capable of doing this project. Cedar Fair or Sux Flags know this ride isnt opening. Thats why they are not saying anything. This is an absolute failure. PS, Cedar Poknt fireworks suck
I was at Cedar Point yesterday and from what I was hearing from a lot of people and a lot of sources there is that unfortunately Top Thrill 2 will not be opening this year. Even with the redesign wheel assemblies, plus other changes/modifications and the testing done up until a few days ago, due to some of the forces and stresses on the trains and the track, it is not up to standard for them to open it. The trains were having a lot of problems even with the new wheel assemblies. They were doing testing last week but have stopped at any further testing at this time because of some of the issues with the forces and stresses that they have uncovered and continued to problems with

@@GhosterCoasters Guess who was at Cedar point yesterday? I was! My monthly pilgrimage... And guess what it's getting retract the whole damn thing. Everything on TT2 has markings on it, indicating they were basically doing ultrasound (steel integrity) testing on the track and supports. What did I say about a month ago.... Stress testing!!! I'm wondering if this is also because what happened with Fury 325, they're also taking this step. But I think we'll see a retrack of the whole thing that hasn't already been retracked. it sucks and it's a bummer because it's my first time being back in the parks in like 17 years after losing 70 lb in the last year and I look forward to riding TT2 but will have to wait until next year and TT2.1 or with the new all parks pass including legacy six flags parks I can go ride kingda ka next year.
This is why I did not plan to go to Cedar point this year because his rides not gonna open anytime soon. Do not hold your breath. It’ll be next year.
I don’t feel good lol. I rode it so I’m fine, but I still am just curious as to what is going on. ANY UPDATE from CP needs to happen. “Work continues on TT2… etc. etc.” doesn’t need to be specific, but man. You gotta think they are not happy with Zamperla.

The obvious is that I am beyond upset because I bought myself and my 8-year-old coaster fanatic granddaughter season fast passes because they advertised unlimited rides on that versus The daily fastpass that you could only ride tt2 one time per day. I paid $2,000 for passes and $3,000 to book a cabin there and now we won't even be able to go on, I've already been there four times this year and it was only running opening day when I was there
/: i feel for you were lucky being close by we got to ride once but definitely bummer that the pass was advertised so heavy and not used now
120 MPH coaster that has been Frankensteind together, no one should be surprised there would be issues. They will figure it out and this unknown will only make it more intense. Will the switch track work, will the seats fall off, or will the train come to a screeching sparking stop as the wheels fall off. Only time will tell.
when you said Adena was on site in your last video I was worried that the spike was sinking. so glad that's not the case. off topic, I was walking that path that goes from the beach to the campground on Thursday and I noticed that Magnum's structure is rusty as hell. maybe they need to give old Magnum a little TLC

Don't look too close at Millie then. She could use some paint work to say the least. When I was staying at Breakers for coastermania, we noticed them doing some late night welding on Magnum while we were on our balcony looking down towards Magnum. Happens a lot more than we think.
What if they are removing seats to shorten the heigth of the seats due center of gravity and over all stress. Giving that a try and test. Crazy thought but maybe that's part of it.

Everyone that I watched were questioning Cedar Point for choosing Zamperla, well we know the answer to that now. Cedar Point dropped the ball on this one and are now paying the price.
I’m just so upset we went prestige this year thinking we’d want to be at the park a lot more this year :(

I didn't cancel my trip bc of the closure. I canceled my trip bc of how insane the negstive discourse surrounding this park and coaster has gotten (not talking ab you guys). It sucked all the fun out of it.

We try to stay atleast level headed about it when talking about it, it definitely stinks but yeah were planning some other parks and canadas wonderland soon that’ll be fun. Hope you enjoy your park trips!!

Zamperla was VERY INEXPERIENCED To jump from manufacturing a kiddie Rollercoaster to tackle a Strata Rollercoaster?? What in The (F) was Cedar Fair Thinking. Yeah people sat down in a Lightning Train Car during IAPPA, and at Winter Chill Out, and saying just how comfortable it was. Well you can sit in a brand new car, feeling how comfortable it is, and ends up being a lemon. This describes the performance of the Lightning Trains, and If there's stress on the Zamperla Track? Folks, Top Thrill 2 is done for the season.

I did hear B&M put a bid in for it. And say what you want about them but dragster would be working flawlessly if they would have paid extra for B&M.
Heck, even Mack or even s&s would have been a better choice

The only zamperla track is on the spike, and in the switch track. The rest is just the old Intamin track that they fitted for the LSMs. Personally, I don't think they got it quite perfect when they tied the track back in to the tophat.

I really really hope that Cedar point gives us an update on TT2 soon I really really do !!!! And I really hope and pray to God that TT2 reopens this year in 2024 but idk I'm starting to give up hope but then again I'm trying to keep my faith at the same time ! I hope and pray that the next update that Cedar point gives us on TT2 is a good update ! I hope it's not going to be closed the rest of the year !!! That would be so devestating!!! Why open TT2 this year for just 1 week that's just ridiculous!!! If they knew they had all these problems then they should of just kept it closed until they knew the problems were fixed !!! I just hope that TT2 does reopen but idk !!

Right now, no news still means that TT2 is worth reopening in 2024, which should mean we are closer to hearing something than we were a month ago

I think everyone who rode it needs to thank the good Lord they're still here now. Something obviously very wrong.
We all knew that Zamperla was going to blow this project. This is the literally the definition of that. Sadly it may soon be closed longer as TT2 than it was the first time. For the channel. Your discourse is cool and a healthy way to engage in a coaster conversation that would otherwise not have a platform. Kudos. Also I don’t believe that if we all jumped on the zamperla train that we would go anywhere. 🫶
