    Nice video thanks. I wanted to mention i doubt very seriously that those vents help blocked or unblocked, so the bracket you use want matter. There is no fan! Those vents will most likely only matter much when you use the grip with a fan. Then your bracket is on the bottom of that grip and the fan is working with those vents. 😊

    I believe you have not installed the latest firmware in your original Canon R5 cause if you did, you should be able to set the Temp to high in R5 after the firmware 1.6 that allows R5 to record hours of 8K in non-raw format and 4K fine basically unlimited. Of course except the 30 minutes recording time limit.

    Hello, sony says the same about temp high on there camera and yes it gets very hot to the touxh so same on canon da, and the vents are for the grip which put the air out from the vent under the camera to the vent on the ports side of the r5ii, normally the vent under serve nothing as if you understand heat it will go on top on everything so without the grip the hot air will go out by the vent which face the ports, don't seems the best but I will see on my TESTS
    Also the fan grip has two batteries ports plus the ethernet port, but no vertical control, and the port just under the battery is for the grip only for this, but dummiy option exists and canon has one but a dummy to usb-c should do it anyway

    If you are used to view 4k footage from a7IV. Then the 4k from fx3/a7sIII is like an upscaled 1080p compare to a7IV. The detail difference is quite huge.

    • @learningcameras
      @learningcameras  Месяц назад

      So only for things like interviews or talking head. The thing with video is usually either the camera or subject is in motion so once you have motion blur, the difference between a full sensor readout (FX3) and oversampled (A7IV) is minimal. But I fully expect the FX4 to go slightly higher resolution for oversampling. But once you get to higher frame rates and low light, that's where the FX3 wins because that lower MP sensor that doesn't allow oversampling does allow for full sensor readouts at 4k60 and 4k120 which no other camera does
