- Cheap and easy way to make a crown :D
Length of strips: 21.5 cm
Width of strips: 2.5 cm
The shape was certainly inspired by the Queen of Hearts in the game Alice: Madness Returns (one of my favorite games as many people know)
I have been dying to make one for myself and and so happy to finally do it. Hopefully this can help some of you out in future cosplays, costumes or just wearing around for fun!
And hopefully the techniques can be transferable in accomplishing other projects ^.^
I am beyond happy I was able to upload this
My editing software was having major issues due to the amount of footage that went into this. I was terrified I was going to lose all my editing
Luckily editing is pieces worked out, so all is well ^_^
Hope you enjoy!

Fantastic! This is the best DIY rendition of this crown I've seen. Thank you ❤
I just made this last night. It was pretty quick and easy. I didn't want to paint it, so I used black, gold, and red glitter foam for each piece accordingly. I am excited to wear it with my costume.
I never would have guessed that this GORGEOUS creation was made with craft foam! I have a new appreciation for it now. NsomniaksDream, You ROCK!

Thank you so much Isabelle
I bet you could - you're crazy talented girl!
This is so awesome. So need to try it.
This is a great tutorial! I'm making a queen of hearts costume and my friends are being the mad hatter, the with rabbit, and Alice so this helps a lot. I just have one question, how do you get the middle of the crown to stay down? I'm making mine right now and the foam keeps popping back up
Did you ever figure out an easy way? I'm on my third attempt right now and hoping to get it right this time. I used way too much hot glue on my last one trying to get it to stay in that shape
Can't wait to try this!
This is a beautiful work. I want to do a small one of this now... As a fanatic os Alice In Wonderland, I'm amazed with this work.
***** Thank you very much!
I think I could build Alice in Wonderland props all day

I made one for my schools up in coming production of Alice in wonderland but my foam was shorter and thiner so I had to glue then together but it turned out pretty similar and it will go great with the costume
I'm glad to hear that! I'm pretty jealous your school did an Alice in Wonderland production - we never did anything that cool! Haha :D
this is an absolutely awsome video!!!! I will definetely try to make one :D I have one question!! How did you paint it black???? Did you use acrylic paint and a paintbrush?
Spray paint!
