Those look awesome. I found some really cool headlights for my 09 awhile back but can't find them now. I will keep looking.
Thanks, yeah I love how it brings a truck design originally built in 2009 to the modern age with the DRL. I just stalled some 5th gen replica tail lights today and it really brings the look & the lighting of the truck up to where I think the late model 4th gen trucks should have been from the factory.
@@DanielPace92 Back in 09 I don't think they had much of those fancy DRL. Most cars just used the low beams with a lower voltage.

Alpharex makes the best looking headlight assemblies for the Ram. I have the Luxx series. The Nova series are every bit as bright as Morimotos.
Great video, I have a 2015 well and know all about the fun with programming. With the bi xenon enabled, what did that do with enabling it?
I got the same headlights, the DRL’s worked with just plugging the hi & lo beam plugs in. I still wires them into the fuse and connected them to the battery just so they’d have a fuse tho. Any clue why all the functions would work without hooking up the little harness that connects to the white wires for the drl?
I've been running the luxx series. Almost upgraded to tge Nova series. Think i will sell my headlights, save up and but the Lesems that just came out not to long ago. They will match the led tube set up in going with. Spyder, Anzo, Spec D are junk

What size are those bulbs and brand
Any specific reason you went with the ones you out your own bulbs in vs the one with them in it? I'm looking at ordering a set for my 14 so wondering if I'm missing something!
I assume you mean buying the Pro (halogen) vs Luxx (LED)? I went with the Pro version for two reasons;
1) They have replaceable High/Low beam bulbs that I can change, the Luxx have built in LEDs that are non-replaceable if they where to go out. Meaning you would need to buy a completely new set of headlights.
2) Price, just didn't feel like spending the extra roughly $300 just for the integrated LEDs when I can do what I did and buy my own LEDs to install and replace if necessary if they where to go out.

So the halogen ones can be replaced with led lights so if I didn’t want to spend the extra money on the headlights that come with leds I can get the headlights that come with halogens and swap them out with leds?

Quick question boss is the alphaobd for the trucks with the quad lights or do you have to do it as well for trucks with factory projectors ??
You can do it for the factory projectors too. Change the exact same settings for low beam and high bean like he did because they're halogen bulbs factory projectors. Look into it, I installed heated seats and upgraded my cluster. If you get bigger tires, you can even program the tire size on the truck
Do you have a picture of how to wire the passenger side? And also are both projectors supposed to be on or just the outer one?
The outer projector is for low beam the inner is for high beam.
Interested in your light output. I have recently purchased the same lights and used lassfit LED bulbs and the beam quality is no good. Big dark spot in the middle. Have tried rotating the bulbs and everything with no luck.
Good to know, thats the exact setup I was thinking of running. Did you ever find a solution while using the lassfit bulbs?
The output isn't so great in these. Just sell them and upgrade to the Luxx series. The output is so much better.

Yeah I was deciding between the two but ultimately I love the design on this one way better. Plus this is the newer design and I hadn't seen any videos or real life pictures of them when I bought and installed them.

Yes, high and low beams are H7 bulbs.
I got a question, I got the same style alpharex headlights and my dims don't stay on when I swap to my brights, im running the stock bulbs so did you have the same issue or is there something I'm missing?
Did you have the factory quad headlights or were yours just the dual beam lights? If you had the dual beam lights that is how they are programmed to work from the factory. You'd have to reprogram the bcm to keep the low beams on with AlphaOBD or someone might make a harness, idk.

Yes. It comes with a set of H7 halogen bulbs pre-installed.
I just received my headlights and was wondering if theirs a alphaOBD that im also suppose to order. If so, could you send the link? Thanks
If you are installing the headlights as they came out of the box, then no. You don't need AlphaOBD. The only reason I did is I have the PRO lights that come with standard halogen bulbs and I wanted LED.
So, I installed it with factory headlights and should have installed led from the beginning. However, I bought the alphaobd and led bulbs but apparently I ordered the wrong kind which are H11 and 9005. Do you know if their's a harness for them I can order before ordering more lights?
@@ronc5008harness for what? The H11 and 9005 will not fit in the headlight set up. You need to get H7 for both high and low beam.
My low beams turn off when I turn on my high beams. Why would they do that?

Because you probably had dual beam factory headlights and not the quad beam. The dual beam lights turn off low beams when the high beams are on.
The only way to fix this is to buy and reprogram your truck with AlphaOBD or make a custom harness with a diode and relay.
What model did you get for the led bulbs ?? Is it the h7?
Yes H7, both high and low beam are H7 on the AlphaRex headlights.
When you remote start your ram do you get that light animation?
@@davidc9687 The sequential from the turn signals or are you talking about a DRL approach animation? If you mean approach animation no, the Pro lights don't have any animation for the DRLs. However when unlocking the truck it dose activate the sequential from the turn signals.
