Great video, the awesome thing about the series is how little you need to rely on visual cues, sometimes the visuals actually distract, which really challenges players to rely on their ears and sense of rhythm to get through the game.
Most of the Minigames are based on visual ques, which means that you have to memorize the entire rhythm of the Minigames, which I will give alot of respect to.
I didn't do it blindfolded, but when I was younger I got all the medals and the perfect titles. I think it took me a whole damn month and I LOVED IT. If I had a working Wii I would play this even now. I loved this game.
the fact that you expected remix 1, got double date, and still did perfectly is pretty impressive to me! granted, i haven't really had the chance to play a rhythm heaven game yet, so maybe it's easier than i think... still, i think the ability to improvise effectively is great to have.
Went to see this after almost giving up on my own blindfolded run just because of working dough 2. Glad to hear it’s the worst of the worst with enough offbeats to choke a horse.
I like Ringside, but I have a flaw with it. It’s too easy. Come on, three cues that aren’t used that often? Why? Also, the music is kind of bland, especially for Rhythm Heaven. To be honest, it’s probably the worst song in all of Fever, every other song is really catchy, this one’s just boring with a weird beat. Though it’s still good.
It's great to see more people getting recommended videos of this game thanks to RT, it's a really great game series and it makes me happy that more people are learning about this franchise. Chances of getting a Switch game are much higher now.
I'm curious. I've heard in the guitar hero/rock band community, after they got so good that they just perfected the entire setlists, they sped up the game itself and called that the new records. Would it be the same for this?
I thought this would be easy but then I realised that Screwbot factory and Karate man are mainly visual, this would actually be quite difficult. (And yes, I know that Screwbot and Karate aren't the only mainly visual ones.)
For screwbot factory, the black bots take 3 beats while the white ones take 2 beats. When a white bot is deployed, you can hear a sort of alarm siren sound. The bots start being screwed at a constant rate when being deployed on the conveyor, with a "tink" sound. (I don't know exactly how long that is in beats, though)
So I'm gonna watch through the video and try and put down every single audio cue I think you could use while playing blindfolded Bare with me, I don't know it all and my hearing isn't that great so if it's subtle I won't catch it. Hole in one- Fairly simple, smaller monkey gives you two squeaks, first squeak he grabs the ball, second he throws it. The bigger one gives you three sounds. First one he grabs the ball, second he winds it up, third he throws. Robot factory- The arm makes a high pitched whirring sound when it grabs a white robot, and it sounds normal when it grabs a grey. Seesaw - I think when you land on the white part it sounds different ??? I honestly don't know for this one, but when you go super high up it'll give you a pretty noticeable sound effect when you become spiky. Double date - You just need to memorize the beats of each ball. Soccer ball, one quick beat, then kick. Basketball, two beats, The second beat comes in fast, then kick. Football, two slow beats, then kick. Fork lifter - You've just gotta be ready to copy the flicking of the peas. There aren't many noticeable sound cues, its mainly just a copy game. They'll flick twice, you flick twice, you just have to get the timing right each time. Itll shift, of course, but its fairly simply. Probably the easiest in game. Tambourine - Also super simple, another copy game. Its only got two sound cues, technically four. Shaking the tamberine, and hitting it. Then there's the sound the monkey makes when it's your turn, and when it's his turn. He'll squeak at you, then you repeat what he did. And when you're done, itll make a sparkling noise. Board meeting - Honestly, all I know is you just have to be ready to follow what the others do. Only thing I can recognize is when they spin, and the one two three the apprentice says when you all need to stop at the same time. I dont like this one much, so I don't exactly know. Monkey watch - Again, simple! Theres only two things you need to watch for. You need to get the tempo down, and follow that. Very simple. But then there's the pink monkeys, double beats, they'll give you a squeaky sound cue, usually one beat early. So you'll give a yellow monkey a highfive first as soon as the sound starts and then you'll give the pinks a double highfive. Working dough - Its another copy game. While it is pretty difficult, you just have to be ready to copy what you hear. The first one does something, and you copy it. First, there's the small items, which sounds like little metal items. And then there's the larger ones, which sound like a much deeper version than that. Or if you want to hear it from the dough, the smaller dough makes a more squeaky yell, and the bigger dough makes a chunkier yell. Built to scale - So there's always a similar beat to this one, you just have to memorize where the little cylinder is at all times, so just know that the first one starts on the right, comes to the left, back to the red, then you'll get a wind up sound and that's when you need to press B I think. Then the other will come from the left. Air Rally - You get a good start off at first, so all you need is the tempo. The cat dude will give you a ba bum bum bum when he's giving you a long shot. And if he's gonna go back to quicker shots afterwards, he'll say two, three, four. If not, itll be another bum bum bum- Figure fighter - So there isn't many cues. This one is extremely easy, but the way they're separated is where it gets a little confusing. And jab = one hit. One two = two hits. Go go go! = Three hits. There's also a time where itll confuse you and the dude will say and one two. Just be ready for that. Ring side - These ones are fairly easy to recognize. Wubadubaduba is that true? Woah you go big guy! And Pose for the fans! Very easy to get used to. This is one of the most iconic songs from the game, so almost everyone knows how it goes. Packing pests - So when a candy is thrown, it makes a thump. When a spider is thrown, it squeaks. Sometimes a candy will be thrown and itll say double up. All you need to do is catch the candy, and double smack away the next two spiders coming up. Samurai slice - So all of them make different sounds Their sizes are based off of how deep the squeaking sounds. Then there's the multi hit green eyes, which just sounds like a bunch of bats in slow-motion- Catch of the game - OK a y, this one is hard for me to do- All you really need to do is copy what they do at first. When you first get a new fish, itll give you a beat cue for when you should go. So how she says and go on the yellow, and one two three, go for the blue. Simply repeat those everytime you hear them. Orange fish makes two squeaks. Yellow makes three. And blue makes four deep dums. Flipper flop- Follow the tempo again, listen to the three beat cue, which should sound like banging on a glass bottle. Then the Eskimo guy will tell you how many flipper rolls to do. You've just gotta be ready to count since he will only count to four before repeating back from one. Exhibition Match- all you gotta do is count to five like the dude said, and hit the ball on the 5th count. But listen for when she throws it, it simply sounds like clothes shuffling. Flock step- Another tempo follow- It's kinda like monkey watch. Itll give you the sound cue a few beats early, which is a few chirps. On the last two chirps, that's when you'll do that cute little bird jump- So the second to last, you'll crouch down, and then the last chirp is when you'll jump. Launch party- Ah yes, this is the fun one- Fun fact, each rocket has a different blastoff sound based off of the shape they are. Green sounds like a bell, white sounds like a bowling strike, red sounds like a blastoff, and blue sounds like a party popper. So its confusing atfirst, but all you need is to be ready for the numbers. Red counts slowly from three, green counts fast from seven, white slowly counts from one, and blue steadily counts from five. Donk donk- The normal beats is when you go donk donk, but when you're about to go quick, you'll hear dump dwa. When you're going fast, it's dit dit dah. And then when you're about to slow down, it's a slow di di doo. It's fairly cute game in my opinion. Bossa Nova - This one is actually kinda hard. You'll swap beats alot. But the sides keep the exact same beats, just be ready to swap. The cues to turn is Left side, she says spin. Right side, he says turn. You start on the right. Love rap - I hate this one so much its honestly so weird- She just says something and you need to repeat it I guess ?? I don't even know- Okay, I'm too tired to finish this right now- I'm editing this as I watch
to correct some of your info and run through the remaining minigames (excl repeats) see-saw: see is the only audio clue, as he will make an 'E-O' sound much faster instead of 'EEE-OO', which lasts around half a beat longer exhibition match: its 4 beats, but technically you still have to count to 5, or 1 2 3 4 1 or something like that. launch party: you'll always count down 2 beats (pressing a on the third beat, same as in exhibition match), except for the red rockets which are 3 beats (press a on fourth beat) ok now to new games tap troupe: straightforward. you'll always be keeping in time with the other guys, and nothing is sneaked by, however in the middle of the song there is a 'tap tap TAP' where the middle tap is a held for slightly longer.. i think it's normally dotted sixteenth notes but there its an eigth note. don't quote me on that though im ass with music theory shrimp shuffle: horrible. you see, when you get a barely input (which counts as a miss), it clearly lets you know with a sound cue. there are none, so good luck correcting yourself. the shrimps pause twice in the whole song iirc.? once near beginning, once near end cheer readers: very straightforward, everything has an audio cue karate man: also very easy but wow does playing without vision totally change the gameplay night walk: you wont know when to roll but tbats about it edit: wrong about see saw
@@scotty3739Tap Troupe is actually about transitioning between rhythms smoothly. 4/4 rhythm and 4:3 polyrhythm (at double tempo). On tap tap tap the 3rd/last tap is always the next available beat of the original rhythm which causes the gap between the 2nd and 3rd tap to change. tap,, tap tap tap,, tap,, tap tap,, tap,,,, tap If you're good at rhythm you tend to just get it right without having to think about it at all. If not, you may have to memorise it.
@@aaaah540 the way I see it, the beat when she throws the ball is one, and you hit it on either beat 5 or the next beat 1 depending on how you count it. if counting to 5 is easier, then it works, if sets of 4 (like most music beats) is easier, that works too.

It skips the credits after Remix 7, but still gives you the medal once you go back to the game. Just for the sake of saving time.
Already 2 years ago, damn...
i'm really glad i got this in my recommendations
When I tried to play this game I did 20 times better with my eyes closed.
Which sucks because the visuals are great
So satisfying to watch
the slight delay from the audio to the video is killing me
Good so I wasn't going crazy
I'm curious. I've heard in the guitar hero/rock band community, after they got so good that they just perfected the entire setlists, they sped up the game itself and called that the new records. Would it be the same for this?
huh... i didnt think that many other people wanted to do this for AGDQ! haha
Somebody get this guy more subs! This is serious skill!
Pov: you didn't watch RT play this game. You don't know why this was recommended to you. You haven't played this game in years.
This was oddly specific
POV: you love this game and have played it for 10 years and want to see people destroy it
Wow, i thought that was like 30 minutes and then i looked at the timebar and saw i was an hour and 45 minutes in
He looks like hungry box when you can’t see his eyes
When he said “we are on remix 1 now” when it was actually double date, my heart dropped
I thought this would be easy but then I realised that Screwbot factory and Karate man are mainly visual, this would actually be quite difficult. (And yes, I know that Screwbot and Karate aren't the only mainly visual ones.)
Tootus how is karate man visual
@@dude0216 the part where the exclamation point comes up and the next pots on the half beat, that's visual. But that's about it.
Tootus true, that is visual, but you should hear like a reversed pot throw sound when it happens, and it’s just like the normal pot but just offbeat
@@dude0216 oh yeah, it isn't visual, I have been proven incorrect.
*THIS GUY CAN DO WHAT I CAN'T DO BLINDFOLDED*
I don't have a Wii/WiiU :(
lmao that was unexpected
the weirdest thing in this video is that it's at 48fps
This is a man of focus, commitment, sheer will
I love how, just like punch out this game was made to be played potentially blindfolded if you know what you're doing
1:08:15 The tap dancers are so cute when they arent spitting at you! x_x
25:10
My favorite game
So I'm gonna watch through the video and try and put down every single audio cue I think you could use while playing blindfolded
Bare with me, I don't know it all and my hearing isn't that great so if it's subtle I won't catch it.
If not, itll be another bum bum bum-
Figure fighter - So there isn't many cues.
Samurai slice - So all of them make different sounds
Their sizes are based off of how deep the squeaking sounds.
Then there's the multi hit green eyes, which just sounds like a bunch of bats in slow-motion-
Catch of the game - OK a y, this one is hard for me to do-
All you really need to do is copy what they do at first.
Flock step- Another tempo follow-
It's kinda like monkey watch.
Itll give you the sound cue a few beats early, which is a few chirps.
On the last two chirps, that's when you'll do that cute little bird jump-
So the second to last, you'll crouch down, and then the last chirp is when you'll jump.
Launch party- Ah yes, this is the fun one-
Fun fact, each rocket has a different blastoff sound based off of the shape they are.
The cues to turn is
Left side, she says spin.
Right side, he says turn.
You start on the right.
Love rap - I hate this one so much its honestly so weird-
She just says something and you need to repeat it I guess ??
I don't even know-
Okay, I'm too tired to finish this right now-
I'm editing this as I watch
to correct some of your info and run through the remaining minigames (excl repeats)
see-saw: see is the only audio clue, as he will make an 'E-O' sound much faster instead of 'EEE-OO', which lasts around half a beat longer
exhibition match: its 4 beats, but technically you still have to count to 5, or 1 2 3 4 1 or something like that.
launch party: you'll always count down 2 beats (pressing a on the third beat, same as in exhibition match), except for the red rockets which are 3 beats (press a on fourth beat)
ok now to new games
tap troupe: straightforward. you'll always be keeping in time with the other guys, and nothing is sneaked by, however in the middle of the song there is a 'tap tap TAP' where the middle tap is a held for slightly longer.. i think it's normally dotted sixteenth notes but there its an eigth note. don't quote me on that though im ass with music theory
shrimp shuffle: horrible. you see, when you get a barely input (which counts as a miss), it clearly lets you know with a sound cue. there are none, so good luck correcting yourself. the shrimps pause twice in the whole song iirc.? once near beginning, once near end
cheer readers: very straightforward, everything has an audio cue
karate man: also very easy but wow does playing without vision totally change the gameplay
night walk: you wont know when to roll but tbats about it
edit: wrong about see saw
@@scotty3739Tap Troupe is actually about transitioning between rhythms smoothly. 4/4 rhythm and 4:3 polyrhythm (at double tempo).
On tap tap tap the 3rd/last tap is always the next available beat of the original rhythm which causes the gap between the 2nd and 3rd tap to change.
tap,, tap tap
tap,, tap,, tap
tap,, tap,,,, tap
If you're good at rhythm you tend to just get it right without having to think about it at all. If not, you may have to memorise it.
37:30 you know the saying. A watched man never slaps.
the way you count for the timing of exhibition match disburbs me LMAOO
How do you count it? 0, 1, 2, 3, 4?
@@aaaah540 1 2 3 4 5
@@aaaah540 the way I see it, the beat when she throws the ball is one, and you hit it on either beat 5 or the next beat 1 depending on how you count it. if counting to 5 is easier, then it works, if sets of 4 (like most music beats) is easier, that works too.
"Now on to Munchy Monk, i mean Micro Row 2"
LUL
1:14:06 sound effects switched
Hey, I'm looking to start runs in this category as well. What setup do you use for streaming your Wii footage? It may be different since you're on a Wii U, but is there a specific capture card you use?
I have a HDMI capture card for Wii U, and a composite/s-video card for Wii games. In the future, I'll be using composite capture for Wii for the sake of making the reset easier and faster to do.
Congratulations
It’s the only thing that I have to say
The fact that this guy can be soooo good in monkey watch without looking is impressive
1:07:09 my favourite game
Same here !
I may agree for original games, though in general, I like Screwbot Factory 2, Love Rap 2, and Remix 3, 4, 8, 9, and 10.
My strategy for remix 10 would be to memorize the timing of the our generation part
pretty entertaining, nice video man
“His Crush” is cute ngl
Good luck on getting this into AGDQ!
It would be a real treat to have RHF in the top viewed games on Twitch.
idk why i was recommended this, but it's cool, keep at what you do, dude!
This is an incredible feat of skill

anyone else thinks that the birds sound like Scorbunny’s pokemon cry?
Too much delay between the screeches
WHOA, YOU GO BIG GUY!
good run! =]
I fear for when this man gets an ok
