Yep. Just instantly inclined to watch this one in it's entirety. It really is a spectacle of speedrunning. Hell, it's a spectacle of gaming to behold in my opinion.
I think something I don't see many people mentioning that's really awesome is zallard's commentary and confidence. He's been improving and now if you compare 2015's run to this run, you can see how much better He's gotten at commentary and how much more confidence he has. It's super sick and makes this run so much cooler
I remember when I was younger and thought Title Defense Soda Popinski was impossible. I only beat him because I had a good serving of my dad's mac n' cheese
I'll be honest, this run inspired me to try it myself. I did manage to beat everything blindfolded, but it was far from speedrun-worthy. Hell, i had to look up this run to learn the strat used on TD Soda! Needless to say, it was one hell of an experience. Thanks for the inspiration Zallard!
I know this is over a year old, but don't downsize your achievement man. Completing this game blindfolded is certainly something I could never do and the same can be said for most of us. Congrats on that accomplishment man!
Blindfolded punch out is by far the hardest challenge I've ever done in games. In my opinion it's harder than Mike Tyson in MTPO. I managed to get to TD Bear hugger with no losses but then it quickly fell apart. Beating anyone after TD Aran Ryan was a NIGHTMARE! The strats are so hard.
This is the most impressive and entertaining speedrun I’ve ever seen by far. It’s gets so hype near the end when he is beating the fights first try, and he beats his PB by 5 minutes even though he was under the pressure of being in a live setting, absolutely amazing feat.

Someone should try a fan game, like where you are playing as sandman and have to fight all these fighters, with the boss being little mac and you have to defeat him. If you lose, then you must fight title defense versions of the previous, and if you win against little mac, somehow, you will have to fight big mac as the final after the title round, the mega buff version of little mac. After beating title defense you get a rematch with little mac and if you win that, then you beat the game. True ending is after beating big mac.

I love how the biggest obstacle was navigating the menu.
So about those retries you mentioned at the beginning 😂
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@zallard1 hahaha.
@@zallard1 They disappeared like magic because you are magical
What retries?
@@zallard1 can I have a rerematch
What a legend.
Winning this game is something.
Winning almost perfectly is another.
Winning almost perfectly blindfolded is just legendary.
I like how he keeps saying stuff like “this is when it gets really tough” and “expect me to have to retry a few times here” but he never loses a single time until he intentionally starts losing in last stand
You can say whatever you want about this game, but those remixes of the theme whit the style of the opponents' home land are a gift from god himself
Hehe, tiger talks in Hindi,
"Tera dhyaan kahaan hai?"
"Dain se"
Means
"Where's your concentration?"
"From your right."
Hindi players finna be laughing at tiger giving them warnings
24:07 I love how the audience can't help but start breaking into laughter for this part
“During the fights, please… please as much silence as you possibly can”

It's thanks to this run I subscribed to you. You are a legend among men, zallard. Keep being awesome, you.
Thanks! I'll try my best!
@@zallard1 will you be at agdq next year
@@KieranDurand I can't promise for sure, but I will be trying my best to make it!
Yep. Just instantly inclined to watch this one in it's entirety. It really is a spectacle of speedrunning. Hell, it's a spectacle of gaming to behold in my opinion.
he could secretly see through the blind fold the entire time XD lmao jk jk this was amazing truly
I think something I don't see many people mentioning that's really awesome is zallard's commentary and confidence. He's been improving and now if you compare 2015's run to this run, you can see how much better He's gotten at commentary and how much more confidence he has. It's super sick and makes this run so much cooler
I've never played punch out and you make it sound so easy
FariniaChocobo just saying it's hard af
Spent 20$ for this, I don’t regret it.
Except for the fact that Title defense Soda Popinski exists.
Believe me. It’s not easy. Reason: the entire World Circuit in Title defense.
Wanna know something? Soda pop used to be vodka drunkinski. I think you may guess why they did the name change
@@mr.mermit6189 I hate Title Defense Soda Pop.Zallard makes him look so easy

@@ButteredToast32 *BUTTERED SIDE DOWN*
Dont u mean....LITTLE MACNCHEEESE
@Kai Garner no u
"he's gonna start doing some spin punches, pretty hard to dodge them consistently."
*Dodges every single spin punch*
"Set your expectations to that"
>0 death PB live on stage
This is the most impressive and entertaining speedrun I’ve ever seen by far. It’s gets so hype near the end when he is beating the fights first try, and he beats his PB by 5 minutes even though he was under the pressure of being in a live setting, absolutely amazing feat.
Game: *returns to menu*
Zallard: Ah shit, here we go again.
Underrated comment 😂😂
watched this live on twitch and holy hell dude you inspire me to play this game more and more

I feel the exact same
57:43 Bald bull shows up along with Red Bull ad at bottom left. And again at 1:15:10
0/10 no bogus Released.
I was so crushed when he didn't say it
Wait. Macho Man did say it at the Title Bouts and Title Defense fights
Also, no "Mah-- DUDE?"
@@AmeNGO758 he said it but didn't release it.
(one of his stage 2 attacks being intercepted causes him to say "release the... " and if he says "Bogus!" on being dodged he releases the bogus.)
I REALLY hope this game gets ported to Switch.
or they should make a new game
Who doesn't?
I personally would like a new game with new boxers (adding people from super punch out ect.) But Nintendo may mess it up
Shouldn’t be a port. It needs to be a full fledged sequel
When you realize the Switch is Nintendo's first non backwards-compatible console in 1 decade is just honestly laughable.
Toupee skip is probably the weirdest name for a skip in video game history
What about Super Mario Galaxy 2's Purple Idiot Skip?
Well it perfectly describes the skip, since you get to skip knocking Don Flamenco's toupee off
XD skip or Dino Skip Skip
@@pepper4632 XD Skip? I see we have a Smallant1 fan here.
Oho just wait ‘till you see about the COVID-19 skip straight to hell
We really need a new Punch-Out, I wanna see Zallard just destroy that game lol!
I would love to see another game in the series!
Sadly, the main creator of punch out retired, so unless a new team is put into making a game, there won’t be a new game.
@@noahweston4138 I love Nintendo, but they really seem to have forgotten about some of there better series
True ending is after beating big mac.
gorrilla warking so basically, u beat mini burger then the big burger :P
The people in the crowd are acting like this is an actual boxing match and I love it
I keep forgetting he’s blindfolded
Until he tries to navigate the menu

I'm not sure you're gonna get to see anything buddy 🤣
