hello Astro big fan here, I am playing an old game that runs in borderless windowed mode. Can you give me any tip to optimize its performance? Fps wise I have no problem but sometimes smoothness is not satisfying. For being nearly 20 years old game it can be due to bad code of course but any improvement is welcomed :)

@@newshyne+ ppl forget to realize that drivers performance are system specific , what performance or stability someone gets using a driver version wouldnt necessary transfer to other people using the same driver !, hello even the bugs and stability problems that gets reported to nvidia after a driver release not all people gets them even people using same graphics card .... i remember when there was a major black screen flickering bug with some drivers on for the rtx 30 series alot of people was having them , but i didnt .....
@@newshyne 14 fps improvement in lows and avg fps is more than just "slight" fps difference. It's definitely worth a shot if you feel like you need the performance.
@@Hjallapenos that's subjective though, i typically get 700-750fps in matches so a 14fps difference is indistinguishable, if you only get 100fps then yes 14fps would be noticeable

i try this with 7800x3d - 4070 ti and its good i got 607 fps and %11 shuttering with latest update and i got 691 fps and %5 shuttering with 551.23 version it's good for me and i am wondering about shuttering and i got some frimetime spikes over 500ms . and how its possible to get 0.4 shuttering

it is not "the best" but it works really well in cs2 compared to csgo. So if you are having issues with optimization or weak hardware you can make the gameplay fairly enjoyable. You need help on how to set up properly VRR? or you just want to see a vid of someone talking about it?

(if you use 144hz cap to 134. If you use 360hz cap to 330fps)

You cap considerably below so you have gsync working/active all the time and also that eliminates vsync input lag If you cap fps too close to 240hz sometimes, despite not seeing at fhe fps counter. You'll surpass 240 and create the effect described first. So it wont be too smooth or too lagless. Just test and then tell me how it goes.
I have a laptop rtx 3050 and I have always framtime sometimes going up "max ms 150" this problem has a millisecond. When you installed the "537.58 driver" did the "frametime spike" improve? I mean did it become 7-8 ms? Normally I play with 10-12 ms.
There's no way. I have 5800x3d and 3080. Game runs fine. Because these 3d chips run super hot, check ur cpu temp during game. Undervolting my cpu helped with stable temperatures and improved 1% lows
You may have corrupt drivers, be it SSD or AUDIO or LAN. Windows just installed some random drivers for my Logitech G PRO X headphones... I used Snappy Driver Installer Origin and it found a correct driver, 3 years older but the game doesn't stutter now. Often times RGB software causes stutter too.

RTX 3000: 537.58 and RTX 4000: 551.86/552.44. For greater stability, do not use NVslimmer, as it does nothing to improve latency.

there was a security vulnerability that nvidia fixed on driver 566.03 . If you care about your security i wouldn't recommend using a lower version

This driver is very stuttery for my 4070ti Super. The game plays better on the latest one.

551.23 average 356.2fps, 1% 153.4fps, 0.2% 82.4fps
If I’ve learnt anything with cs2 it’s don’t listen to any of these videos all it does it make the game run 100% worse everytime

i'm with 552.44 in last few months. my pc specs quite simillar: 5800x3d, 3070ti. tested in last 2 days, the results better than 552.44 in 1% & 0.2%

600fps in cs2 fps benchmark map is super low you should be getting at least 800 on this pc on low settings

That's impossible, I game on i5 10th and 2060 super and the game seems great averaging about 200, 250 so check ur settings and try optimize ur system.
