Hey man, thanks for the video, I have the same engine/diff in my e92.
I had a leak from a drive flange seal and you gave me the courage to take the diff out and do this job myself (also reseal the cover)
    Really good job!!! keep going

Salut Andrei și La mulți ani. Ai rezolvat diferențialul?

@@stoicadaniel1909 Salut!

By the way how is this diff holding uo after rebuild ?

Does not changing fluid cause failure? Differential repair is very costly, complex, & time consuming. I could see why someone would just pay to replace the entire unit. Better hope mine never fails.

It is a good idea to change the car's diff oils in good time. Diff's buzzing sound is a typical defect for this diff 168L model.
Reassembling the differential is a big job to do, especially if doing it for the first time like me! 😉

Hi, I have a question, there's a difference that the ends of the circlips goes up or down? The differential it's a 215L from a e90 330d 2006, there's no an oil passage on top, I'll appreciate the answer, thanks in advance.

Hey! Have a BMW E90 320i that I would I have a little wonder about if you know what the fault could be it starts as it should and goes well but when I plug in the high pressure Rail sensor the car dies when throttled, would appreciate the answer if you know what the error can be (no error codes or the like)

Hyvin tehty video!

Hello, with how much Nm do you tighten the screws of the backcover from the diff. Thanks

I, i rebuild The diff of my BMW 118d with The same kit than you and i have a Big problem. The backlash value now its 0.15mm. i think good value its 0.07 or less. How i can fix this?

    • @michallpro1998
      @michallpro1998 29 дней назад

By changing those snap ringa on side bearings. They have values like 3.46 left side and 3.52 another. So to reduce backlash you need to put thicker snap on the ring gear side and thinner on the opposite just to reduce distance between ring and pinion gear. You should keep the same summarized value so if u put one side 3.48 (u added 0.02 to 3.46) so now you need to put 3.50 on the other (substract 0.02 from 3.52) for example.

how do you adjust the backlash in case is not within specs?

By changing thickness of side bearings snap rings.

what would you do if backslash was wrong? or the contact of the gear teeth? :)
