@@thetriggerman954 that’s exactly right. I have a couple little dibs, but I’m not worried about it. No one will even notice, when I put the kit on? I really appreciate the advice. Keep up the beautiful work 👍. Thanks a lot.
Yeah, this one's definitely a fogger for sure! Lol. It does a nice job laying out the material but even in a well ventilated booth it may be too much. The less fog and over spray the better obviously. I would use it on a small jos like fenders, bumper covers, quarter panels. But it would not be my first choice for a gun to do entire car! 😆
Hey Trigger. One of your videos, you mentioned that you'd never use acrylic urethane clear coat. Can you please tell me why you say that? I've research it to death but can't find out why acrylic is bad. Thanks for all you do
@@davidray4655 just do a simple google search. And it'll tell you. Acrylic clear is cheaper, cost effective and shiny. But it doesn't last as long as a regular urethane clear coat. Acrylic is also softer. Don't search on RUclips just do a google search on the difference between the two. And you're more than welcome.
Love the colour of the tailgate. Ha ! Nice job for a cheap gun in the hands of a professional. I would like a run down of guns that paint well with home compressor and low over spray and psi with it. Thanks man
great video sprayed really nice ..im looking at buying this spray gun to paint my charger..and i have a 60 gallon compressor...its around a $100 in canada...
If you have a 60 gallon that means you have plenty of air. So in my honest opinion you can get a much better gun and it sounds like it's a nice car. So just something to think about. But if you don't want to spend to much money it's definitely an option 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Good job man, that gun looks alright probably a bit slow for you but would really suit a newbe thats learning so they can take their time, looks like its got a nice fine spray pattern , good bit of advice for people here, i had someone ask me in the comments today about a budget gun and i sent him your way and told him to look at the porphis and you have some good reviews on it and this one as well might help him, Top content as always I do it from home my neighbours are saints Have a blessed weekend man

Hey trigger man love you’re Work brother been watching long time and I wanna to give you a tip not that you probably don’t already know it, but won’t you try back taping that hood in the front and back up towards the windshield and press down the plastic that way, it won’t be floating up in the air if you’re getting a little bit overspray on your hood, but that will help that problem just a little tip from one longtime painter to another great work
@@robertwalter6688 thanks man 🫡 yeah it was just a crappy work truck so I wasn't really focused on that but you're absolutely right. That would help and prevent any vapor from clear on the panel. Good tip 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Hey, what part of Florida are you located in? I just got back from Daytona Beach on vacation. I wish I had thought about it. Would have liked to met you
You typically don't want to use a 1.5 for any top coats, unless the company tells you that their 1.5 is more like a 1.3 or 1.4 most of the time when a cheaper gun manufacturer makes a 1.5 it's for primer and that 1.5 could really be a 1.6 or 1.7 I do a lot of risky stuff on here but wasn't about to try that one.
Hey hey trigger man what gun would you recommed me to buy. I you don't mind I would like your advice . What is the best Gun for you to spray Base and clear coat.
Depends on ur budget. The Porphis guns are good for an all around gun. For a good price. Or you could get a sagola Extreme and have a base and clear gun with a change of the air cap. Devilbiss prolite is a good all around good as well
Question on spray gun air regulator which would work better diaphragm or non diaphragm? Also would a large fan cooler type set up away from the vehicle being painted to exhaust paint fumes?
I personally only use the regular non diaphragm. I've never even tried one of those big bulky regulators. And that should work, hook it up and let off a smoke bomb and see how good the smoke clears out that'll give you a good idea. But don't do that around the vehicle 😁
Never heard of it! Looks like it lays it down. Is that online only or somewhere like harbor freight? I’ve had that happen because the homemade booth I paint boats in has horrible airflow. So if you don’t keep that clear open long enough for the temp or go to slow finishing the inside can dull the outside a little. Usually not enough to need buffed unless you don’t move fast enough.
@@air_cooled_andy You just found my channel? Oh man where have you been for the last 17 months If you're late to the party Now you have to share this with two of your buddies lol Thank you man welcome to Triggerland 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Thank you for the video, since you used ANI F160 in previous videos, how to compare with this aeropro R500 in fan size, pressure, fluid layout for clear and basecoat? Thank you!
You had me excited until you finally said what the gun was. I know you have that ANI 200 Black Skull Edition that comes with Clear, HVLP, & WP caps. I been using the hell out of that ANI skull with digital manometer as well as those Porphis guns. Might as well sell my Devilbiss DV1 guns.
I sold one of my DV1 guns and in think I'm about to sell the other one lol. And the clear cap on the ANI skull is awesome for base and clear. Love that gun
My Devilbiss Pro lite with the T110 and 1.2 is a fogger I’ve got 3 pusher fans on the back of my filter wall and 6 fans pulling on the end of the booth. It clears pretty quick the problem is following the wet line between needing glasses and seeing through the fog!
Have you tried switching to the TE20 with a 1.4? That's what I run with that gun and it's less fog than when I use the t110 with a 1.3. that set up sounds like it's definitely gonna cause fog. The sir holes are so small on that cap plus the 1.2 is small so it's going to create it for sure
@@thetriggerman954 just looking for the flattest finish I can get straight off the gun. I’ll give the TE 20 a shot with the 1.3 or 1.4 I’ll try it on an old door or something. I did a blend this morning and used the 110 and the 1.2 for and for the clear it turned out sweet.
@@timhudson8958 yea that set up you use sounds like a fog set up I'm sure it's overkill for the flat finish. A 1.2 is already small enough to atomize good and then that cap is designed to atomize even more so that's a lot of atomization, Will definitely give you a flat finish but like I said and maybe a little overkill hence the reason you need glasses to see through the fog 😱👽
@@thetriggerman954 I’m interested to test out the 20 but not on my project I want the peel to match I’m not confident enough using pressure and distance to spray with it and not have a million runs LOL ! Thanks for your advice and keep the Videos coming!
Was just about to pull the trigger (pun intended) on the Eastwood till I saw this. Painting in our garage with a diy Husky compressor 6.3 CFM @ 40 (27 gal). Is there a better gun I should be looking for that won’t have so much fallout? We do not have anywhere close to professional ventilation. Just a 2 car garage.
The drizzle gun doesn't seem to have as much overspray and works at a lower CFM seems like a good option to explore. A few dollars more but my save you heartache and headache down the line 😎
Hey trigger!!!! I’m using this gun for painting 99% single stage paint. I’m spraying on 30psi and fluid three turns out from close. Oh boy I’m sick and tired of wet sanding the orange peel. What was you settings there? 😢😢

When you shoot the wet bed, are you going one panel at a time, so it doesn't flash off before you get the base shot? Or are you doing the entire area? I am not good at spraying a wet bed! Tried it once, it was a DISASTER! 🤣🤣

A lot of spray great but a lot of them chew through materials like no tomorrow 1 gun you'll be surprised after the job is done and you have clear or paint left over another gun you will be refilling it more than you're expecting to
What's your rec for a gun that doesn't produce so much overspray? I'm kinda limited because I have such a small compressor. But ironically I gotta run these lvlps with insane pressure to get what I want

@@thetriggerman954 😂for sure! As long as it doesn’t have “Rongpeng” on the side I’m willing to give it a shot lol. I can say this though, if you take it apart, at least the air valve ( that they copied from Iwata ) is made of brass and not plastic. Something Iwata could do for all the $ they hit you for. They’re actually pretty well made

@thetriggerman954 Best gun for a serious DIY painter IMO. Just spend the money. You wont regret It. Or get a used one. I bought my LPH400 silver cap 1.3 like new for $300 off ebay. Liked it so much I paid full price for another one with the LVX cap in 1.4. Still alot cheaper than other pro guns
IMO can't beat the Porphis. Yes, more expensive but if you do just a few jobs it will pay for itself on clear coat. Not nearly the over spray to stink up the neighborhood and have the EPA on your butt.

I got one a those and it's awesome
Yeah, this one's definitely a fogger for sure! Lol. It does a nice job laying out the material but even in a well ventilated booth it may be too much. The less fog and over spray the better obviously. I would use it on a small jos like fenders, bumper covers, quarter panels. But it would not be my first choice for a gun to do entire car! 😆
@@markchimmy hell to the NO it wouldn't even be my 20th choice to paint a car 😂

Hey Trigger. One of your videos, you mentioned that you'd never use acrylic urethane clear coat. Can you please tell me why you say that? I've research it to death but can't find out why acrylic is bad. Thanks for all you do
@@davidray4655 just do a simple google search. And it'll tell you. Acrylic clear is cheaper, cost effective and shiny. But it doesn't last as long as a regular urethane clear coat. Acrylic is also softer. Don't search on RUclips just do a google search on the difference between the two. And you're more than welcome.
any recomendations for a good cheap primer gun, something that can spray the good 2k high build primers without thinning them down?

You typically don't want to use a 1.5 for any top coats, unless the company tells you that their 1.5 is more like a 1.3 or 1.4 most of the time when a cheaper gun manufacturer makes a 1.5 it's for primer and that 1.5 could really be a 1.6 or 1.7 I do a lot of risky stuff on here but wasn't about to try that one.

Depends on ur budget. The Porphis guns are good for an all around gun. For a good price. Or you could get a sagola Extreme and have a base and clear gun with a change of the air cap. Devilbiss prolite is a good all around good as well
I have the Eastwood and the Aeropro, plus an inexpensive Harbor Freight gun for primer.

It came out very nice trigger man it looks smooth
@@robertdeleon588 🫡
Never heard of it! Looks like it lays it down. Is that online only or somewhere like harbor freight? I’ve had that happen because the homemade booth I paint boats in has horrible airflow. So if you don’t keep that clear open long enough for the temp or go to slow finishing the inside can dull the outside a little. Usually not enough to need buffed unless you don’t move fast enough.
Man everyone on RUclips talks about this gun lol I've been hearing it from day 1. It's on Amazon. There is a link for it in the description.
