Thanks for teaching people man! All of us need to do all we can to inspire people to do better and do more for themselves and others as well and I really think we have the drive and spirit to become a really great country with great citizens, not that we havent been good, just alot of us can definately do better!
Great Job with instruction to the kids out there Brother Red Beard!!! Our youth need to learn Mechanics and how to have some good clean fun!!! I'm a Retired ASE Master Mechanic with two College Degrees in Automotive Engineering and 30 years experience and couldn't have explained things better!!! Keep up the good work!!!😂 God Bless your work too!!!
Been watching your channel since '93. three things i've learned are: its oye-ul, not oil, lefty loosie applies even laying upside-down-which is mind bending... and hoity toity, still not sure on that though. I think it means "its good" lol love you guys!
I would have liked to see you put rest back together but regardless I liked the video. I’ve never built an engine either but it seems easy when someone shows you. Thanks guys!
Love your videos i have some go carts dirt bikes and 4 wheelers i have been working on, i need to video everything i do i just dont know how to edit my videos.
What's better, a shorter aftermarket air filter or a longer one on my predator 212 with a stage one upgrades. Upgraded jet, emulsion tube, racing spark plug and header.
If u don’t hone the cylinder walls , will it push oil thru? I bought a new Tilly block and built it from the ground up . Didn’t hone the cylinder walls . It also has a big valve head that I installed bronze guides and recut the valve seat . Also do I need the valve seals ? Never used them and seen them on stock heads . Don’t know if I should use them . Pls help anyone .
You've done so many modifications that I have to ask you a question: What engine do you prefer for the Trailmaster MB200 minibike? Tilloston or Predator and specifically, which one of the preferred brand? I want to build a reliable yet high performance Trailmaster, but am undecided on which engine I should stake my money. Or if you have no preference, explain also. Please advise.
Pretty sure he prefers the Tilloston, because of the way Tilloston has engineered their motors; makes it easier to work on. I could be wrong though man. Hey maybe he will answer you and correct me if needed!! By the way @Red Beard’s Garage I am a new follower and just got into mini bikes and small engines ect, and you have been my main instructor and keep it entertaining for me man!! Thanks Boss!
@@RedBeardsGarage this is true. Guys I have a great idea for I guess either a new project and or a solution for the inhaling of the track all the time. Fab up a sealed Air- Box?! Whatcha think? Cool idea yeah
Why didn't you clean the old Head Gasket off before installing the piston? I clean the gasket off first before I install any piston in any engine I'm working on. Just makes for a cleaner install. :-)
Hey Greg. Do you happen to have a brother that looks a lot like you and is a bbq chef? If not there is a guy that looks almost exactly like you. Thanks for the video and God bless.
Tekton tools are not Chinese. There mostly made in South Korea. There the manufacturing kings these days. Tekton does make some specialty tools in the USA. I have a bunch of tekton tools. I love them and there awesome forever warranties. God bless
Please tell me the total price of a tillason motor and do you sell them? I’m in the market place looking for a rolling mini bike frame can you sell me one?
Great video as always man! How's the turbo diesel deuce coming along? I've been dying to see more of it! I work at a commercial vehicles dismantlers and we have a few of those 3 pot Kubotas laying about the yard, they power fridges on lorry trailers, always wanted to build a garden tractor with one of them or maybe an old Lister or Petter engine. Best wishes from Ireland, keep up the awesome content!
I thought you were suppose to make a cleen-room in your shed, to build those lovely motors! Hate to see a dirty rebuild like this, you need to step up your craftmanship, no kidding. And for gods sake, let Lonnie build his own engine.
Whoaaaa. I don't think that cylinder that loni honed was "looking great ". He continued to use the hone after he had broken it . 😳 so I guess its time to go BIG bore, ehh? Lmfao that cylinder was freaking wrecked 💀 😭

Thank you. I was wondering if that weep hole between the cam tap its could be safely opened up. Now I know. Will it remove the need for a catch can?
You will still need a catch can. It just helps with the oil return from the head to the block.
Thank you. You are the man.
Quick sprunk stop
Very awesome video! Next time when honing set the drill to the lowest setting and go in n out fast. A lot better x hatching happens

You want to try and aim for a 30 degree angle in that cross hatch for maximum Oil retention and minimum blow by!

Anyone knows where to buy these "Tilloston" engines? ;-)
They look the same as the "Tillotson" ones, might be cheap copies or even sponsored ones.
use the 1/4 torque wrench on a nut and bolt in the vice then check it with the torque wrench that you trust .. should be about the same if good ,,
