Wanted to point out: Void Ogre Dragon is kinda a infernity card while not being one at the same time. It's effect would match infernity effects, and it WAS used in the manga by Kiryu/Kallin, it just doesn't have the name.
I just realized this this Week, but is it not crazy that Nova has explained over 200 Archetypes by now, without covering either "Dark Magician" OR "Blue Eyes White Dragon"
Then again, with those two Decks, it'd be almost wrong not to do a "Yugi Explained" or a "Kaiba Explained" for them. The only reason HEROs escaped a "Jaden Explained" was because there were just too many cards to ALSO explain on top of the E-HEROs, Ev-HEROs, & M-HEROs. I'm rooting for those Explained videos next though. Still true though.
Funny thing about Infernity; it was NEVER their handless combo that made them broken; it was their sheer lack of a Once Per Turn clause. So much so that they STARTED the requirement of a OPT as a balancing mechanic in YGO.
Just finished the video, and I gotta say, Archfiend is my favorite of the entire archetype. He is just the boy, and topdecking him just comes in clutch whenever it happens. And to continue on, I will give some more tech picks for the deck that weren't mentioned in the tech picks section. Transmodify. You send 1 monster in your field to the grave, you summon 1 monster with the same type and atribute but 1 more level from the deck. What does it do? A lot. You can do stuff like send Tour Guide if she got Ashed to get Archfiend from the deck, or send Sage to summon Necormancer, send Archfiend to the grave, and then summon back Archfiend with Necromancer. And that's just the tip of what it can do! Zalamander Catalyzer. You reveal it and 1 find in your hand, special summon one of the revealed card and send the other to the grave. Very basic to understand, it's a great way to get a monster on field and 2 cards out of your hand. Wordsea Dragon Zealantis. Ressumon everything on the field to reset the soft once per turn your monsters have? And you can easily make it from just Saryuja? Don't mind if I do! It's even better if you use Archfined to search Mirage before going into Saryuja since it guarantees you to have Necromancer and Archfiend on the field. Destrudo. It's a tuner that specials itself from hand or grave, it's just very nice to have. Ancient Fairy Dragon and Revolution Synchron. I've put them together because they're better in pair. AFD lets you special summon whatever you have in hand to your field, and Revolution Synchron lets you acess AFD easily. Futhermore, Revolution Synchron can then special itself from grave and convert itself and AFD into Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, which can protect you from cards like Ash and Veiller. Those are some of my favorite tech picks for the deck. But there's a lot more options I haven't cited, after all the deck loves experimentation.
@@lyncario5515 Sage + Transmodify was the first combo i found out by myself. Also have you considered running a pendulum engine ? It allows to empty your hand if it goes off, and also puts monsters in Spell/Trap zones xd.

I remember dreading Infernity back in the day, despite how cool of a character Kiryu was.Nowadays it's almost delightful watching them go off. Almost. I do find it funny how painfully obvious the difference between the anime, manga and legacy cards are though. My favorite actually has to go to the Anime only Infernity Zero. There's something about the "You do not lose" effect that speaks to me on how much of a story-telling tool it was.

This card cannot leave the field, be tributed, or be used for any special summon". If you're worried about having to be able to activate an effect while your lp are at 0, it would only need a minor change "During damage calculation, or after the activation of a card that would inflict effect damage, if that damage would reduce your lp to 0, special summon this card from your hand"

You do not lose the Duel for having 0 LP. If you take 500 or more damage while you have 0 LP : place 1 Counter on this card then, if this card has 3 Counters, destroy this card. Unaffected by other cards' effects. Cannot be destroyed by battle.", but it would suck.

As the unofficial CEO of Infernity (I made like 200 vids on them on my old channel ShineKami), you don't want them anywhere near the meta. They are insanely consistent as it is, and are able to play through some handtraps. Giving them anything at this point isn't smart IMO.
Infernity is my favorite archetype to play especially Kyosuke Kiryu from 5D'S I like this deck because send cards to GY for swarming and easily summon strong monsters!

To be fair about Void Cauldron... the Manga version of it is broken to all hell and could never see print as is. "When there are no cards in your hand, you may negate effect destruction(s)." This is any cards, yours, or your opponents. Needless to say... that's... pretty broken, and could just completely shut down unchained as they would never destroy anything. That aside, the real lifer version seems to have gone overboard in the other direction, sheesh.
Infernity need a hand trap tuner monster that can be pitched if you have an Infernity monster on the field, then if you have no card in your hand when the card is sent to the GY, it triggers another effect. For example, the first effect target and negate a face up monster effect, then if you have no card in the hand banish that target. This way, you can go minus 1 in your hand if you control an Infernity monster, and the card you toss in the GY actually does something, plus does even more if you meet the Infernity no hand gimmick.
Yea I feel like Infernity suppression is basically the archetypes “Called by the Grave”. It even says u can play it the same turn it sets which turns into a quick play basically
I still wish that Hundred-Eyes Dragon had effects closer to its dark synchro anime version. All they needed was a trade-off like an insanely specific summoning condition to make sure it couldnt be an easy spam.
Funny how Magic the Gathering had a similar mechanic that was nowhere near as good despite having a card that literally let you get any card from your deck into your hand if it was the last card in your hand as you played it
I've always wanted to use Hundred eyes Dragon but didn't really have the proper cards to summon it out until recently, and even then I just have it copy Earthbound Linewalker so he and my homie Ccapac Apu can beat ass together.
For me Infernity was a really cool deck and it fits Kalin Kessler "yes, i used it's dub name i don't care" just too well. Though Infernity Doom Dragon looks ugly as sin. Looks like a Dragon with Bananas on it's head, i'll always prefer Hundred Eyes Dragon over Infernity Doom Dragon.
Instead of going at a reading spree of every single card in the infernity archetype whjch was extremely monotonous in my opinion you could explain a few of the key cards of the deck while talking about its history and the combos and what it could do in more detail.

Nova forgot the secret, unprinted effect Infernity monsters have of being able to be set in the spell/trap zone.

Well, it does have some super specific requirements in the anime. For it to be even playable nowadays, we'd need a good dark tuner.
