Infernity is the OG "board of negates on turn 1" deck. Sadly Konami decided that more decks needed a bunch of negates on turn 1, and why not throw in a floodgate or 2 for good measure. And here we are
@@strangevol5264 Yeah, casual players who choose to power down their decks are the truly enlightened players who build their decks so that the games are interactive an enjoyable. But you can't blame people who are into the competitive side of the game for trying to build the strongest decks possible. In an anonymous setting where no one is close friends, that's what most people are going to do. In the commander format of magic the gathering, lots of people build decks at a variety of power levels and talk with others first about what power level they want to play at. That's fine as long as you have a community of people who are willing to do that. The problem with that is that many people simply do not have friend groups who are willing to do that kind of thing with them in yugioh. Lots of people play online or at locals where they are not super close with the people they play with. If you have a community of friends who is close and willing to do that kind of thing, that's awesome and I'm happy for you. But most players don't. I do play retro formats like Goat/Edison for this reason, and I enjoy it. But I don't have a good avenue to play modern "tier 4" decks, which I know I'd have fun playing. Essentially, the problem as I see it is this: you are asking players to take on the role of the *game designer*, and decide for themselves what's fun and what's not. Imo that shouldn't be something the player has to do. It's the game designers role to make a fun game. Konami has printed the cards they have with the clear intention of manipulating the competitive metagame to sell cards, and in the process have neglected to try and design decks that lead to fun games. Players can make their own rules and formats to make yugioh fun, but that is a symptom of the fact that the game designers are doing a bad job. /rant over
Yes and infernity balances those boards by requiring no cards in hand being immune to traps/interruptions. Hell we have handtraps now, even 1st turns arent safe. What is the excuse ıf meta decks now
This deck is good! As long as it goes first. And the opponent has no handtraps. And doesn't brick. And the player has read the cards before knows the combo. And the opponent has never seen those cards before in their life.
I loved infernity in Duel Links, they were a combo deck but their end board was an OTK, using the skill that allowed them to pop off on their second turn lead to an incredibly fun all or nothing play style. Made me realise that I do like combo decks, I just don't like decks which wincon is to set up an army of negates
well the ishizu chaos piles which had been running around prior to teara realease could end up with almost the same board, but were actually capable of playig through handtraps and sometimes even go second.
You know what, I can see forbidden droplet being a good card for inferinity going second because you get can get an empty hand relatively quickly negate monsters and push for damage
I was slightly thinking of this deck as I was playing Legacy of the Duelist all because there was a card someone had that empties your hand in exchange that you get 2 Draws in your Draw Phase. It definitely wouldn't be good now but I wonder if it would be ever good at all for them in the past.
I love this! The deck suggestions/upgrade section...so helpful! From someone who hasn't played in years, this really helps me understand deck building in this new meta.
Infernity even at full power would probably still suck in the TCG because the deck is completely incapable of playing handtraps and would simply brick or lose the die roll enough times over the course of an actual tournament.
As much as i love infernity it's true... The handtrap meta is very Bad for the deck strategy... Sometimes you can't even play called by to stop your opponent from activating Handtraps...
@Excalibur Even when it was arguably the best deck in the format way back in like 2014 the deck still bricked. There is a reason there is the meme of setting necromancer or whatever in s/t zone because your hand was completely unplayable with it stuck in hand. SHS is a deck with a different "deck building restriction" placed on it that will probably see a lot of success in the TCG (assuming decent Kash hits) because no s/t still allows you to run a lot of going second cards. Infernity can't even run cards like Lava Golem or Kaijus or whatever because it isn't guaranteed to be live in games 2 and 3 and could get stuck in hand.

@Excalibur I know which is why I said everything might as well come off. It might be more successful in MD where there is no siding and maintaining a 51% winrate in best of 1s is "good enough", but in the TCG it is just never going to work out because it gets blown out by side boards and has a horrendous going second match up. This is a similar situation to the likes of Floo where its tops were mainly decided by how many times they won the die roll and were allowed a "free" game 1 by going first, but even when forced to go second (or in game 2) they can still do things like Ash Branded Fusion or give the opponent a Sphere Mode.

@@Vibe69420 You can't tell me the MD Banlist is worse than the current hellscape that is Kashtira. At least Maxx C has some counterplay and doesn't work against every deck. MD has NO SIDEBOARD, so that means we would need to MAIN DECK KAIJUS just to have a chance against Kashtira. At least I can think I'm playing the game in MD. In TCG, it's "Pull Rock or Kaiju, or scoop loser". And furthermore, I never said you said get rid of MD, thanks for putting words in my mouth, really cool. Most notably, I said MD players are more accessible. MD is far more mainstream, used by more people at this point, is across multiple platforms, the list goes on. This makes it easier to actually GET any footage overall, so it's the more advantageous pick if you can only do one. It is far more convenient, and requires less hassle. That is what I said. Don't try and make shit up buddy. Buhbye.
*THERE is NO REASON not to play ALLURE of darkness and maybe even more than 40 cards... also you SHOULD side into Dark Ruler and Imperm*
Allure of Darkness banishs, you don't want to banish most of your Infernitys, and Master Duel has no Side, its Best of One
Infernity has severe bricking issues with drawing hands it can't easily dump, adding more isn't going to improve that
So having a Link 1 that dumps your hand would help a lot ?
Infernity best deck!
"2010 anime deck"
* plays masterduel with no anime cards from 2010 *

I've come to the believe that Farfa and Joseph actively choose to ignore phonics and the English language. There is no way on God's green earth that they read these names that wrong.
Lawnchair is an inside joke I am pretty sure. Dzeef's master saga also was plagued with that on chat.
@@liloldman5998 lawn chair is fine I get that. It's the way he says Cherubini
