It costs a lot , we just today bought a red light therapy and loaded with bulbs, nm dosage perfect as we made sure to get NIR ! So excited! My dog injured his leg. It was a contussion I think. I rolled onto him while sleeping and he had a limp as a result. He was sleeping by my side and I did not know it. My friend had placed him next to me. We were already treating him for kidney failure. I did not want to take him to the vet because he was at the end of his life already. But I felt aweful and wanted to do something. So, I had an idea. I shaved the injured area and used a magnifying glass in sunlight to focus a beam on the area. I tried it on myself first to determine how fast I needed to move the beam of light across the area to assure I did not burn him. I did two or three approximately one minute sessions on his injury. He stopped limping by the afternoon the same day! I was very so relieved and happy. How much was due to my therapy? I will never know.

I needed to try Infrared for my leg. Its a disaster! Huge story, but summary is: 45 year hiding Gangrene in leg bone, gained during Surgery, Bone Destruction, Immune Noticed and Started Attack and finally, Allergic reaction to Medical Tape triggers Extreme Weeping Excema that creates more sore skin. Add in Atrophy of Sciatic Nerve and muscle Atrophy.
    Plus wounds that wont heal.
Some Drs state small hand units do not work. I bought one anyway.
    First use scared me tremendously!
It felt good. But the leg turned purple! It was deep red before the Infrared...
But i realised this could mean increased blood supply, since my skin has gone super thin!
I waited a long time to use it again. The appearance was that worrisome! But i did use it again. Same reaction, purple. Still felt Good! I would close my eyes and focus on how my leg felt. Good! Loved it!
Timing makes me miss doing the infrared. I often end up changing my wrappings at 3am or 5am and am too tired to do the massage.
But i can prove the infrared handheld massagers DO Help! So if that is all you can afford? Do it!
And with my severe Sensitivity, Tender Skin and Wacky Immune, it does NOT trigger anything Adverse! Only Improvements!

Try using raw (and I mean raw from a health Food Store) the healing properties of honey are incredible. Most people don’t know that it has hydrogen peroxide in it. @sgmarr If possible, it might be beneficial to try Manuka honey, if you can afford it. It's supposed to be exceptional for healing wounds. I was surprised when I was watching a video about the treatment and recovery of the Great Pyrenees guardian dog who fought off 11 coyotes that targeted the herd he was protecting. He k!lled 8, the other 3 ran off, but he was seriously injured. On his upper back between the neck and shoulders, his skin had been peeled back by attacking coyotes. The only treatment the veterinarians caring for him used on that wound was scheduled sterile cleanings, Manuka honey, and dressing changes. It worked for a wound as severe as that! I'm still amazed at the healing properties of honey after learning about that.

Over the past two months, I’ve been using a red light therapy device from Future Form Official, and the impact has been really good. At 68, I’ve struggled with chronic knee pain from arthritis, which made my daily walks with my granddaughter less enjoyable. Encouraged by my son, I began dedicating 15 minutes each morning to target my knees and a few minutes on my hips.
The relief in my joints was the first noticeable benefit, significantly reducing my pain and allowing me to stay active longer. Beyond that, my overall energy levels have soared. Mornings are now brighter, and I feel more flexible and less stiff throughout the day.
A surprising bonus has been the improvement in my skin. Friends have remarked on its newfound smoothness and glow, something I hadn’t expected from a therapy device.
While I’m thrilled with the results, I did find the device a bit bulky, which makes storage slightly cumbersome. It would be great if Future Form Official could design a more compact version in the future to enhance its convenience without compromising effectiveness.

I don't understand i tried all the red light therapy for skin and RA arthritis but unfortunately it didn't do anything for the pain or the red light face mask for better skin i didn't see any noticable difference i used it as directed for face for a year almost and skin was the same not sure if RA is just what it is but i do find relief with heating blanket the warmth is very soothing so it seems to work best but i really hoped the rad light therapy would work but it was a let down for me ! Thank goodness someone gave me one to borrow and use i thought it was expensive but if it worked was one thing glad i was able to have someone who wanted my to try it otherwise it would have cost me a lot of money and didn't work!

@ I bought a Kala Brand Red Light. To tell you the truth, I bought it because they were on Dragons’ Den. It was $799 - 10%. Right now they have their black Friday sale on for 20% off. Of course, mine is still held up in the strike so can’t really vouch for the quality.

Could I use a High end Grow Light? I have a 10 x 120watt bars meant for complete plant growth. It's a mix of 600-900 plus day light spectrum.

The sun is a powerful source of red and Near-IR. Get more sunlight! I am diabetic and I notice that when I'm camping - spending a lot of time in the outdoors, my blood sugars drop or I need less insulin!

If it is too cold to go outside, use an old fashioned incandescent bulb. Anything that glows because of heat emits broad spectrum Near-IR.

I use redlight for my arthritic knee and hands & it does helps, however, the biggest thing that helped push my relief even further was to supplement with J Lugols Iodine, eliminate sugar and utilize a zero carb diet . I do Carnivore at the present time. Big differences in my health even beyond the arthritis. And for what it's worth, My ortho surgeon said I was about ready for knee replacement surgery a few years ago, but, due to my changes, I never had to do it. Rarely even need pain meds anymore. I have definitely bought myself more time with my joints, made them healthier and added to my comfort & energy levels on a daily basis. Some have relief on Keto or Ketovore, but these weren't enough for me. Different things work for different people, I guess.

Red light therapy AND a carnivore diet. I know someone who was able to heal all the damage from a fall and arthritis in his knees.

@HulaShack1 thanks - I've tried to get him to carnivore with me but he loves his carbs and restricting them does not give quick enough results so he caves. Going low-er carb since getting a stent about 10 yrs ago, keto quite a while, switched Truvia for the sugar in his coffee, many carnivore meals at home, but keto bread is a staple and pretty much will eat any candy/chips/dessert that is available out and about. Just got 2 cortisone shots in the shoulders. Uphill battle. I'll look into a red light device..
      any recommendations?
