  • Is the Tata Punch EV too expensive when compared to the regular Punch? Here are three things to keep in mind.
    First, when you compare the lower end variants, it's ₹6 lakh versus ₹11 lakh! When you factor in that it is offering in automatic transmission, it has ESP, six airbags, and ISOFIX mounts as standard? It does lower the gap a bit, but not by enough.
    Second, the difference in top spec variants is also ₹5 lakh, but this feels like a lot more value for money because the EV is offering you so much more equipment, like dual digital displays, ventilated seats, 360° camera and a wireless smartphone charger, and wireless smartphone connectivity. lets not forget, it has a more powerful motor and a larger battery back as well.
    Third, in the way it drives the Tata Punch EV feels more expensive. It has more performance. It has a most sophisticated feel and because of the new chassis and suspension, it feels properly SUV.

    Adventure LR is the best VFM for 90% of the buyers ( Note : go for the ₹50k 7.2KWh AC Fast Charger instead of that ₹50k smoll sunroof, or get some accessories) 👍🏼

      Even better : don’t buy 7kW EVSE from Tata, instead buy it from outside like zevpoint
      Not only do you save money on the charger upfront (50k vs 35k) you also don’t need to pay road tax and registration for that extra 50k in the car cost
      Zevpoint has charge scheduling and charging cap so that you can set how much charge and at what time you want to charge the EV (sometimes night electricity rates are cheaper than day)
      This is not a promotion, I’m just a user of this charger and found it better value than Tata 50k charger

      Here is why it takes long time for official price cut
      Punch price was announced after Chinese market battery prices were reduced.
      But Nexon and Tiago being launched a year back. They reduced the prices according to the Chinese market.
      Punch price will reduce in another 5-6 months by 25-50k
      I got empowered lr without ventilated and 360 degree camera..as I find the ventilated seats less effective in this car. 360 degree. Don't wanna get used to it. Software glitches are there in punch .
      So no thanks.
      If you need rich infotainment and awesome display.
      Get the empowered lr
      Else stick to adventure. If you don't prefer infotainment.
      Remeber there is lot of cost cut in Adventure model.

    Any Tata car not just Punch is simply expensive due to sheer number of Service centre visits you have to make or get used to constant niggles.
    Tata cars are really desirable but not buying one until they fix their QC.

      Same! And in the ev space the complaints don't get sorted because the technicians working with the car have no previous experience with ev's and hence identification and correction of complaints are a hassle

  • @AtulBafna
    @AtulBafna 20 дней назад +2

    You totally ignored on road price. EV’s don’t have RTO cost. Which itself brings down the gap by 2 L and since it’s gearless the price should be compared with an Auto which reduces price gap by a further lac more. In essence you’re paying 2L extra but saving a lot on fuel every day.

    Tata techwheels Jaipur is very bad service center. I am owning Tiago Ev LR.. it is not giving range not more than 140 150 kms..
    They changed motor still same..
    Motor efficiency is 140 wh/km
    Battery is discharging like a hell lot.
    They are saying battery is fine..
    It is 1.5 month only.. motor is changed.
    Front disc unit is changed
    Steering indicator unit completely changed.

      We've thought about it, Pranav, but ex-showroom is a more accurate comparison across the country for everyone. Because of the way state taxes work, on-road price comparisons work out less accurate _for everybody_

      Why not go for punch/altroz icng? You will get the boot space which you wont get on Exter (just curious not criticizing your opinion)

    • @abir95571
      @abir95571 4 месяца назад

      @@andysfinance well altroz has a boot space of 345 L and Exter has around 390 L. So the usable space of Exter will be slightly more post cng fitment. Because of the tall boy design, the comfort of exter will be more. Exter has a 4 cylinder engine which will provide refined driving experience. Exter has more ground clearance. It comes with 6 airbags which is the new norm of GNCAP. It's feature rich , has height adjustable seats and an electric sunroof. This makes exter a perfect choice for middle class. You can use it for office commute (cng) and for long drives and a little bit light off-roading (petrol). And I guess we all know very well about the post purchase service experience of Tata 😅

    • @andysfinance
      @andysfinance 4 месяца назад

      @@abir95571 i am sorry that you misunderstood cng part, i wasn't talking about post cng fitment, i was talking about factory fitted cng models, tata punch/altroz iCNG has twin cng cilinders fitted in spare tyre space which gives 210L of boot space and exter cng model has way less space which can accommodate small bags only like office briefcase etc (i have seen exter cng in person one of my neighbors has exter and he regrets about low boot space) so please do check tata icng models before doing final decision🙏

      @@abir95571 i have i10 so i know what Hyundai offers but i was talking about factory fitted cng models (Punch/Altroz iCNG) in which 2 cng tanks fitted under boot space in spare tyre area which gives 210L of boot space, and exter cng has way less boot space in which you cant fit even 1 large travel bag. If one wants boot space as a priority then tata icng is the right option.

    However elegant, articulative English sentences you make....
    Expensive is expensive.....
    Electric car....you can charge where ever you want.... It will take hours together, you can't travel long distances, and very expensive compared to a petrol/ desiel car.....
    If it misses practicality it won't servive in India.......

    • @AtulBafna

      Thats a rather ill informed comment to make.
      If you compare with AT version and with on road price and the price gap is not that much and getting to run a car on ₹1/km vs ₹8 on petrol is a huge boon for anyone travelling anything above 1000 km’s a month.
