Electric vehicles has to pay 5% gst while petrol vehicles has to pay 28% gst, electric vehicles get huge subsidies for ex.-ather 450 gets 22000 subsidy. There is a difference in road tax RTO of petrol and electric vehicles which vary according to states. For ex- MP charges 8% on ex showroom for RTO for petrol vehicles whereas it's only 4% for electric vehicles. Battery would cost around 50000 in electric vehicles. Even after so much tax exemption and subsidies and benefits electric vehicles can't compete to even 110cc scooter in terms of performance i.e.acceleration and top speed and range and pricing even double and triple to petrol vehicles. Thus India should postpone it's electric vehicle plan and focus on declining automobile sector.
They need to launch in all other city also and install more charging station in all cities atleast in all showroom area. no one need charging station when they are in their home town all the best for tata

Not that low ...coz they tested on arai way . But in City it will give more milage due to break regeneration system ..it will charge battery ..the final range would be around 275 minimum and max 290
With regen and stuff from traffic it may be more like 225-255 km. Electric car range is usually between 75 and 95 percent of the claimed range depending on the conditions and the brand.
I have the nexon ev. Have few niggles in software . App does not work smooth. Brakes should be in four wheels because pick up and weight is high , feels risky at high speed , car does not jam immediately after applying brakes. Range with ac , 3 people speed 60-70km , with light foot on eco mode is only 200km . Claimed mileage is 312 by tata. That is huge difference, so basically city car. Because range anxiety kicks in when battery is 20 percent is left . So effective range is 160 -180. The drive quality is very smooth like 50 lac car and un compared with ice engine. The auto ac doesn't work in any tata nexon ev keeps on chilling even at 30 degree. Mid data even odometer which tells simple distance covered is not accurate it tells 5 to 10 percent extra, battery remaining , charging time nothing is accurate, looks like half baked product. Tata should have given a bigger battery pack . Just gave 30kwh battery pack unlike mg 44 kwh range 400km ideal for both city highway. The world has stopped using such small battery pack for evs , pricing more than 10 lacs. What will be the range left after 3 to 5 yrs as battery pack wears down and depletes, I think it would come down below 100 km. A 17 lac car after all. Second important information uptill now after 1 month of purchase did not get any subsidy from govt . I am stationed in delhi. Also u need to own ground floor to install charger and charge the car. So don't be impulsive in judging the car after all its your hard earned money. The new software 2.07 update has made the car smoother but car range remains same nothing near 312 claimed range. All this feedback is also concerned by other nexon ev owners we r connected with a whats app group. Some 120 members. We r requesting tata to rectify, but not of much use. They r polite but of no use. All the parts like motor, dashboard and battery are chinese made except the outside steel shell.

Sir, as the ev model is a silent vehicle, don't you think that after couple of years, the suspension sound , body sound and other regular plastic parts sound will irritate the owner, as those will be clearly audible ?
Nexon EV is more than perfect, safe and comfortable for city use and medium travel distances. But if you are going to other places during long trips quite often then any electric car is not an option, at least for now!
Highway drives will not be possible though. Good for the city. And watch it for the power cuts in the summer. It will certainly be a problem if your city has long power cuts
I was thinking about getting the regular Nexon then thought would wait for the facelift one due in March. Then suddenly I started liking Kia Seltos more. Now I'm all in for TATA NEXON EV. Can't wait to test drive and book it !
312km claimed range on a 30 kwh battery,, seems the motor is smaller to not draw much power from the battery to maximise the range.. a very good attempt ,i hope this becomes a success..
Car rolling back when moved from still position is a great concern in hilly areas.... Thanks for highlighting this. What should be done to prevent it rolling back ? In Hilly areas you got lot of vehicles standing behind your bumper, and one got no sufficient space for engine to pick up...
Thats just a stupid driver thing! U hold the break and slowly apply throttle till u feel the car pushing forward and release the brakes . In combustion engine cars the clutch would have a biting feeling when its ready to leave brakes!
Should include a 150 cc refined engine ac generator in boot to charge the battery full with 5 ltr petrol while running ..so never break down Also add an hub dynamo on rear free wheels to charge the battery when running... Both source of charging can go more than 1000 km range sure... Why nobody is not thinking like this.... 🤔
This note is for TATA: The following need to be done asap: 1. Most important: The car has to become back wheel drive. The weight of the car has shifted from the front (engine removed and gearbox removed) to the back (battery is placed in the floor) This will increase efficiency. 2. The bottom of the car needs major re-work. most of the petrol components continue to exit. This bottom is not fundamentally designed for EV we need an EV bottom. This will give a storage in the front. 3. In Ipace has a working cruise controller. Please put it in TATA Nexon. 4. We need Aluminium alloy body as it will not rust and increases the life of the car. People: this is still best and only car made in India by indian. We must buy this if we need one. No point in buying in other company car that's the bottom-line. Love you Tata for your effort. Please make these changes and I want to buy your car with the above feature.
ARAI 312km range is with AC on/off, Does the range differ with AC settings on/off. Also please do a test on road with real traffic conditions and provide the range.
Traffic doesn't affect the range much in Electric cars like in ICE cars. Only AC on/off will make a difference to the range. I test drove it and dealer mentioned real-world range to be like 250 kms.
Please help us. We bought Nexon ev on 28th May 2021, the car has multiple inherent faults. Tata motors is refusing to replace the car. We have video proofs of the issues. You have high reach, we all listen to u... Infact I watched these videos before deciding to purchase this car. U have a moral obligation to tell the truth to public. Make a review about the actual real truth.... The real problems we are facing. Car battery drops 30-35% while parked. Problems while fast charging. Even with full battery sometimes the car gets locked, u cannot move the car, the steering wheel gets locked. Car gets into limp home mode, which should happen only on 0% battery. These is the reality of Tata Nexon ev, not what is shown in the videos
Once there are proper charging infrastructure the shift to EVs will be quicker Imagine in populated areas people will have to wait for avg 2 hrs for the person ahead of you to finish charging

I bought a Tata Nexon EV around 20days back, paid in full, registered and travelled almost 2000km, but Tata Power has never came to me and install a charging station, contacted the dealer at Bhubaneswar but haven't been able to get the same installed. Tried contacting Tata Power but no response from their side. I stay almost 140km away from Bhubaneswar. In my location, there is no charging station. I have made a temporary arrangment for charging. Today I have experienced a peculiar software glitch in my car. On the way back from my work place, charging %age dropped from 9% to 0% within 5km only. We had to push the vehicle all the way back home !!! At 9% charge, the MID was showing 27km but it became dead after only 5km. I had serviced my car just 6days before.... The technical person of Dion, Bhubaneswar was also clueless about it. However, so far I am getting about 200 to 220km without AC, mostly. No idea, how it will behave in hot summer days. Hope Tata Motors as well as Tata Power, will take care of this. From my experience, one should immediately go for charging, once the charge %age reaches 20% without any delay. In general, it goes 2km per %age of charge in mixed condition. So travelling maximum 200km in a single 100% charge is possible. Practically, not more than this, even though you are very lightfooted.
Am a Tata Nexon EV owner. Have driven this car 4000+ KMs till now with more of highway driving. Am sharing my experience with EV. Mileage to be considered for Tata Nexon EV is only 150 KMs with AC on and drive freely like petrol cars, it is nowhere near 312 KMs as claimed by Tata. I get 190 KMs on limiting my speed to 70-80 KMs/hr. with AC on, only driver (no load) on highway. A Tata representative have been appointed to all Tata dealers to promote EVs. Sadly not the one expected from Tata, this guy also went on assuring of getting a minimum of 240 KMs. on highway with AC on and full load. On comfort levels car is good. There are minor issues which I am sure will get corrected in next service. Tata dealers suck. I bought car from Puneet motors, Malad, Mumbai. This dealer went all out to get full advance from me while the car was yet in Tata Motors, Pune. Forget about the small issues like no signed copy of invoice, chassis no. on fasTag, 5 no. alloy wheels mentioned in invoice whereby you get only 4... I have been to lots of harrassment by this dealer right from I purchased this car. Tata doesn't seem to have control on their dealers. If we compare with Mercedes who have launched an EV recently with a battery pack of 80kW, claiming only 240+ KMs. on full battery. Tata Nexon has only 30kW battery! Tata should go the German way. After all this is the impression we all have for Tata, an "honest" company. They make Mercedes for India!
i think it will have a real world range of 250 km....also in individual test of MG's ZS EV has same range as ARAI tested so it would be a tuff rival for NEXON EV and KONA....
Still waiting for a decent electric car with real range of 380-400Kms. this is a must for using car intercity and at that range one would have covered typical distance before either reaching destination or retiring to hotel so that car could be charged.
its actually go up to 200-210 only in 100% charge not 300 km ...lot of issue battery charging problem (suddenly stops) auto door lock not available run around 6000 km ....lot of upgradation required not a perfect time to buy suggest wait and watch .... i have made mistake of buying it.
i have test driven -nice exp-- but would like to know - the cost of the battery as replacement- and the insurance coverage for the battery and motor in the event of accident/theft-- or any nature fury. understand that battery lost for about 8 years-- do we need to change the entire battery and motor after 8 years
What happens to EV vehicles when you leave the car in sunlight at a temperature of 42 degree Celsius for every day during harsh summer time? Since the car heats up more in inside what happens to the battery?
That's a great effort by Tata. Electric Mobility is still a long way from becoming conventional mode of transport. We can safely expect better products in near future. This car has everything you can ask in an ev for the price
Based on Calculating with comparison with my Vento Diesel DSG which gives 15km / l in city and 18km in highways. I can save approx about 3000 rs per month when i drive 850km per month. And also service cost is like 1000 rs per month for vento so i can save 1000 rs per month. So when i drive a total of 1 lack km in next 8 years i can save 4 lack rupees. Which i can use to pay the extra emi amount. So its a good deal in the long run. If you drive more than 1000 km per month. Zexon EV is a no brainer.
Can the fast chargers be installed in homes? If so, how much would they cost? Are there any incentives by the government towards Electric Vehicles? Also; coming to the difficulty in driving up a slope, did you try left foot braking before setting off or does it have to do with the electric motor having some sort of lag to deliver power while rolling back?
The Tata Nexon EV has been launched at a price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). My only concern is how indian roads are going to treat that battery pack getting punctured. Even US roads give those problems.
American roads aren't as good as you might think. They are certainly better than our roads, but the American system is no where near perfect.

Sir, Nexon petrol xz+
Or
Creta 2020 petrol base model EX
Kon si lu ?
How long this car will come to Thailand?
I want to know if the car can be towed incase of a complete battery drain..
What happens if car get stuck in water logged road in Bangalore for eg: bellandur for one hour?
Tata safest family cars...😍😍
Very promising car for the Indian market. Hands down,it is my pick, if I lived in a city, for my daily commute.
Sports mode is it too aggressive? And roll back on slopes? I mean come on!
Ya. Na sense
Tata, make an electric performance car!!
Good Info,
how many kilometers, can I drive in bumper to bumper traffic with fully charged.
i think it will have a real world range of 250 km....also in individual test of MG's ZS EV has same range as ARAI tested so it would be a tuff rival for NEXON EV and KONA....
Kona and MG EV are dead now cuz of Tata.
awesome!!!!
Has this video been shot on the road from Oxford Golf Club to Flame University?
We need it in Australia. We have all the infrastructure here.
TATA Nexon Rocks
Still waiting for a decent electric car with real range of 380-400Kms. this is a must for using car intercity and at that range one would have covered typical distance before either reaching destination or retiring to hotel so that car could be charged.
Well done Tata 😊👏👏 always proud of you.
Tata the best car, the best build quality anytime better the Maruti cars ..
What if the battery discharged after drive.
Is there any temporary provisions on fuel?
Charging stations ? Anywhere on highways ?
I took a test drive today . It’s really good. Seating position is very good , overtaking is faster and smoother. Braking is good .
its actually go up to 200-210 only in 100% charge not 300 km ...lot of issue battery charging problem (suddenly stops)
auto door lock not available
run around 6000 km ....lot of upgradation required not a perfect time to buy suggest wait and watch .... i have made mistake of buying it.
i have test driven -nice exp-- but would like to know - the cost of the battery as replacement- and the insurance coverage for the battery and motor in the event of accident/theft-- or any nature fury.
understand that battery lost for about 8 years-- do we need to change the entire battery and motor
after 8 years
the stripes at the back too could have been avoided in the EV version...
What happens to EV vehicles when you leave the car in sunlight at a temperature of 42 degree Celsius for every day during harsh summer time? Since the car heats up more in inside what happens to the battery?
Great looking EV.
One question. Does TATA have plans to sell it in the UK?
With 0-100 in 12 seconds and roll back at the hill? It would be a dangerous car !!!!
I love this car ♥️
What will do when charging of vehicles zero in midroad?
What is alternative option?
U don't know!
Can u tell me
Can the fast chargers be installed in homes? If so, how much would they cost?
Are there any incentives by the government towards Electric Vehicles?
Also; coming to the difficulty in driving up a slope, did you try left foot braking before setting off or does it have to do with the electric motor having some sort of lag to deliver power while rolling back?
finally ev is making its way in India
