@@AddamsPlayground 100% agree with you there Addam. Sometimes the long term projects turn out the best 👍 I need to get the long term ones done before I start to get grey hair 😝🤣😂

Great work Peter!! Thats a gorgeous tone of blue, and those wheels are guna finish it off a treat! 👌 The Capri was such a lovely looking car back in the day .....words cannot describe how angry i am to see how Ford have butchered the badge for their brand new capri ,a complete abomination !!! 🤮 Its even worse than Tamiya using the Avante name on their td4......legends just shouldnt be f**'*d with as im concerned . 👍 👍 👍
@@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC Hi James, the actual colour of TS-41 Coral Blue is a lot lighter than the colour you see here. I'm very pleased that I have got the body finish that I have always wanted for this particular bodyshell. The black centre for the wheels are the icing on the cake. Ford have let themselves down with the New Capri and is an insult to the heritage of the original shape. I totally agree with you and shouldn't have even been brought back but what do we, the public, know? I will be painting the bonnet this Friday so stay Tuned to see how it turns out... Buff or Ruff? 😂🤣😝😆😖🤪😃
Looking good there Peter, yeah funny how cameras never seem to show tones of blue correctly. My Sony did exactly the same to my CC02 body, it just looks "wrong"!!! Anyway, good job on the paint. 😎😎👍👍 PS. Both packages 🎁🎁 arrived safely, thank you so much! Alfie will have to wait to open his because he is up in Liverpool doing his masters but will be back next weekend! Cheers!
@@MarkBryanRC Hi Mark, It has only taken me 11 months to finally get the desired results paint wise on the Capri 🤣😂 better late than never and I can't wait to finish it with the black accents and get a running video although it won't be very fast ✌️ Pleased to hear your boxes arrived safe n sound. I'm sure you will be able to put the contents to good use 👍
Hey Peter, those are looking very ‘lush’ indeed. I remember the MK I Capri well, and the body colour is looking very near the light blue (almost baby blue) colour and those wheels with the painted black insert are going to make it look amazing. The Sand Scorcher is looking good too, again very glossy. I like the mess being body coloured too. I’m looking forward to seeing the Peter Smith magic again, it’s been a long time 🖐️😉😎best wishes to you and Maisie 🖐️😉😎
@@JF-RC Hi John, thanks for tuning in 👍 I am finally getting the Ford Capri completed after 11 months of not being happy with the paintjob first time round. Sometimes, a refresh is needed in order for the body to look like it has just rolled off the production line. The Sand Scorcher has also had a respray to make it look like it should have been this colour from the start. The mesh rear window will allow the air to flow straight through coming from under the front wheel arches. Maisie and I send our Best Wishes back to you 👍👍👍
I'm glad you're still grinding away. Your almost quirky builds are inspiring!! 😊 The Scorcher looks bloody brilliant! I glued the nose on my beetle too, but the screen in the back window.... nice touch! My real Baja Bug had a screen rear window. Never thought of it for my Blitzer Beetle. Hmmmmm..... And the Capri looks great. 👍 I should try an ABS body someday. Looks more durable. And more importantly, cheaper than lexan! Hope you and Maisie are doing well.
@@CarmineRC Cheers Carmine, I wasn't happy with the way the Capri turned out so a revamp was required 👍 The Scorcher needed the mesh rear window cos I've seen real Baja Bugs with mesh windows so I thought I would go the same route. Maisie & I are keeping well, thanks for asking 🤘
