- Hello Everyone,
This video is just a quick update about filling, sanding and priming my RC bodyshells.
I have gone back to the beginning with my Ford Capri 1/8th scale shell as I wasn't happy with the way the overall paint job turned out and as the Sand Scorcher shell is a new build, I thought it would be best to start at the beginning with both shells.

@@RCBirds Thank You Dirk. Although miles apart from each other in design, both shells deserve the same treatment to make them look fantastic when completed and sitting on their own chassis 👍
Nice update Peter and good to see some progress on both bodies! That filler primer should do the trick, looking forward to seeing the top coats applied! 😎😎🤟🤟
@@MarkBryanRC Thank You McMark 👍 There's a bit more work involved with the Beetle than the Capri shell but both will get 100% effort thrown at them to obtain the desired results that I am looking for 🤘

@@UncleBobsRC Thanks Bob, you know when everything goes tits up, you need to start again knowing full well where you went wrong in the first place. Hopefully I would have learnt that lesson before the stickers go on 😂😁😖
Your projects are looking good so far young man. Can't beat a Sand Scorcher shell. Such a classic. I'm sure they will both end up looking fab. Cheers for now mate 😁👍👍
@@PeteWylieRC Thanks Pete, I'm hoping to get the Capri finished first as that has been waiting patiently in the wings and the Scorcher will become a Blitzer look-a-like 👍👍👍

@@AddamsPlayground Thank You my good friend Addam, the Capri will receive a 1970's paint scheme with the black bonnet with the front and rear spoilers being black as standard.
Both shells shall get the 100% "CW-01Creations" treatment as standard 👍

Hey Peter, oh yes, I know that you’re that perfectionist when it comes to getting that finish you want. It’s not nice when it turns out ‘blotchy’ and I would have done the exact same thing…if a job’s worth doing, then it’s worth doing well. The Halfords premier is very good, I’ve not used the filler premier, but I’m sure it’s very good. Both shells are I’m sure going to be looking spot on after that Peter Smith magic touch 😊😊🖐️🖐️😎😎 so glad that you’ve managed to get some well deserved RC time. 🙏😉🙏best wishes to you and Maisie 🖐️😎😉
@@JF-RC Hi John, not quite the RC-ing I had in mind but RC bodywork is just as important as building up a chassis or glueing on the tyres 👍
The beginning of prep-work is always a learning curve and trying to run before you can crawl makes your paint jobs look blotchy so I'm starting again with the Capri and finishing with the Scorcher 🤘
Can't wait to see what you have planned for them.

The Beetle will be a totally different kettle of fish but will still receive the million per cent attention as well 👍👍👍
