Freewing L-39 - Silver Albatros FPV with Real Data Display cockpit

- After my last flight (which ended up in a crash • L 39 Albatros FPV - ... ) I decided to buy a new airframe (the same L39) and started from the scratch. Painted, built a new cockpit, added the Screen Display with real data and maiden it. I love this airframe, fast, stead, fly on rails.
Also I managed successfully to address the flickering of the screen. Actually, the problem is not with the screen but the automatic settings of the camera. I have used a ND16 filter in order to decrease the shutter speed, that way the flickering behaviour was gone.
Thanks for my buddies for taking the awesome aerial clips! Check out their channels for more amazing contents:

I had no idea this even existed. Really cool
u should do one with your planes too
It's a great concept Gui but would like to see another flight vid of it better focussed on the OLED before I commit to buying one. I can't make out the speed and altitude numbers in this vid most of the time.
To get a proper focus, as any camera which has the focus on the infinity, you have to keep it at as far as possible from the target image. The Albatros' cockpit is a bit small to achieve that in a optimal way. In this video, the camera is farther away and the image is well focused ruclips.net/video/eS1TePwsRLM/видео.html
This is not a limitation of the display, but the camera and the way you position it
@@guipedroso That helps. What is the distance from the front of the OLED screen to the front of the DJI cam on that vid? Looks to be optimal. That would be helpful to know.
Albatros: 46mm.
Spitfire: 85mm.
Great job mate . A lot of effort went int that 👍 🦘
Cheers mate
Great video. Love the data display, long overdue for FPV. Depending on how compact it is, and ease of use, it would be a viable option to most cumbersome OSD modules. :)
I see that the artificial horizon is purely accelerometer-based not gyro. In the vertical climb it still shows the aircraft as level until it suddenly flips to inverted near the top. Be nice if they used some gyros as well :-)
Very exciting video Gui! Love the flying, multiple views, various sound effects and sound change for the stall turn. The working instruments is awesome!
Have to move the camera back a bit to get a better focus, but happy overall
You fix it !! :):)
Beautiful landings, would like to have such a nice runway too😁
Love the data display! Too bad we can't have real sound from the DJI...at the moment, I have GPS speed from a bicycle GPS on my Viper 90, will soon equip my L39 with the O3!
Awesome.. Model aviation at it's best! Well done guys!
Coolest shoots i ever see.
Unbelievable camera views !!!! Well done
My respect to the Michael Bay of this vídeo. congrats.
Great video!!!
Tks Fagman! 😆
Parabéns amigo.
Buen vuelo felicitaciones!! 😊
Really Cooool Gman .. Nice job Buddy
Thanks buddy
Great flying GUI, hope to see you again soon at the runway, I’ll bring more jets.
Hey, Tks mate. Fpv them so you Join the squadron 👍
So cool buddy.. jet looks sweet in that skin too 😍😎👍
Thank you for the awesome shots mate! Made the difference
Happy to see this flyes again. I am impressed by your pov camera setup. Are you using some gimball to hold and operate?
Hello mate, thank you. Yes, I am using a 2 axis gimbal and controling the moviments by a head tracking thing
Pack them up and put on the ebay ,there is still time for 2021!!!
Great job and cool video, particular kudos to the drone chase pilot BTW.
Cockpit camera as a bit too high though!
Hey mate, thank you! Yeah, the drone pilot nailed it! I would put the camera backwards and down a bit. But it's hard to achieve everything in such small cockpit! Defo will try something
👏👏👏👏👏
What FPV camera did you use?
love the L-39! where do you fly though?
Maybe you can put some kind of lens between the display and the camera, so the display is in focus? Maybe one of that fresnel lenses for smartphones.
Moving the camera slightly back will improve quite a lot. The lenses idea is also good
btw, the camera here is way back... much better ruclips.net/video/eS1TePwsRLM/видео.html
mano onde compra esse setup de head tracker? e cameras?
Is the in cockpit display readable in flight? I thought it would be too close to the camera for clear focus.
Hi mate, yes it is... But I ll move the camera slightly back, it will improve the focus
btw, in this video, the camera is way back ruclips.net/video/eS1TePwsRLM/видео.html
@@guipedroso looks very clear, great stuff 😃, I take it that's a recording from the tx DVR? What does it look like capturing the video on the goggles end.
@@guipedroso do you have any actual flight footage from the Spitfire? didn't see any on your channel. would really like to check that out.
