- Well I harvested the power system from the Freewing A-6 and in stalled it in this Freewing L-39 Russian Camo Edition for it's maiden. And the maiden went very well for the Freewing L-39 Russian Camo Edition.
Thanks for watching and staying up to date with Fat Guy Flies RC!

Well it is MAIDEN time for the Freewing L-39 Russian Camo Edition!
Sure is a nice flyer.. Have fun with this one.. Long live the Intruder....
Oh I am!
I love this plane. I've two Freewing Avanti V1/V2 Red S 80mm and love them. I have also this awesome Freewing L-39 Albatros High Performance 9B 80mm, version with red/white/blue, it's easier for me to see than the camo, plus I like it more. This L-39 80mm is just an absolute joy to fly. I upgrade my ESC to an Avian 130A for a little more overhead and reverse rotation.
I sold this Freewing L-39 to a friend and miss it. So in my man cabe right now is a new FW L-39 like yours in red white and blue livery. Will be easier to film and see.
Great flight 💪Love this jet my guy 🗣️💯 my favorite jet
Well I only have 2 flights so far but It sure shows promise.
Good to see you got one! L39 is awesome bird!
Yes, thanks and of course your videos were one of my main research material.
@@FatGuyFliesRC awesome!
i like that plane
It is awesome!
@@FatGuyFliesRC I'll bet it's expensive!
Thank you for showing battery placement.
Most welcome.
Good flying😎👍
Thanks for the visit
Great video, Great flying and landing
Thanks a lot!
Just completed my maiden today too! Went with the other scheme and kicking myself since she disappears in the blue sky but flies incredibly so I’m happy regardless.
Well the camo really works also and she disappears quick also!
Hey Dad, I like the video! Love you :)
Have a great flight!
Hey, thanks Love you too son. i am so looking forward to your visit.
Nice maiden flight with the Freewing L-39. The camo seems to be working because I was having a hard time seeing it when you were out a little bit. It is a beautiful plane, very nice scale details with this one.
Yeah I wish I had cloads today to help see the planes better and thank you!
Great plane, great flying and landing
I just wish there were clouds today to fly against. And thanks!
good flight, but i would reduce the rudder a little bit or give it at least more expo for take off and landing, it looks a bit to squirly to me on the ground...otherwise good job
i agree and will do that.
You should put the Assan AG61 steering gyro in your jets. It’s the best $23 spent and you don’t need to drive the plane on takeoffs and landings.
THANKS that is a great idea!
Boy that’s one pretty jet. Great flying
Thanks, I need more practice with her!
Sorry about the A-6. It’s good that the EDF is so protected. This is my all time favorite plane. I did the same with the lights. Great flying! & landing! I’m glad your enjoying her. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing
Looks like you need more expo on the rudder so that you don't zigzag down the runway on takeoff. Having to use elevator trim isn't a reliable indicator of CG location. You should trim it to fly level right side up and then see how much forward stick it takes to maintain level inverted flight. Too much forward stick means it's nose heavy and too little or no forward stick means it's tail heavy. Some guys do 45° inverted climbs and 45° upright dives to check the CG. I just set mine to where they don't drop much when they're inverted.
True and thanks for the advice. I do appreciate it.
I highly recommend you check your rates when you're in the air, not when you're taking off.
I do I was just sharing what they were with the viewers.
Your range test is closer to 90 yards than 90 feet. That extension at the end.... where the patch goes all the way across is almost 100 feet. The total length of the runway is 250 feet and you are more than half way when you do the range test...... but thats good.... controlling it from even further away than specifications.
Thanks Mr Martin . I wondered how long our runway actually was. And yes I like to test at greater parameters than required.
@@FatGuyFliesRC According to Google Earth, it’s 242’ x 40’. I’d rather have 323’ x 30’.. 😎
mine crashed on maiden flight right after takeoff. it did a right roll for no good reason and then hit the ground nose first. any ideas?
Sounds like signal loss then a bad fail safe. Would need to see the footage to get a better idea.
Thanks for your reply. Your content is great by the way! unfortunately, no footage as everything seemed fine. didn’t expect it to behave that way. Crash happened very near I am pretty sure signal was ok. One question: on any plane, can safe be working effectively in case the Gyro was not enabled? safe was working at preflight check
