    This OT class was loaded & Mims was right at the top of a close race to me. I can't wait to see how it turns out in the next few yrs. Mims is who I would put money on that all the teams wish they drafted. He's who I wanted, glad our Rivals didn't get him.

    I disagree I don’t think Mims is a boom or bust prospect. I think his floor is high and his ceiling is incredibly high. I think Amarius Mims floor is Trent Brown. Yes at worst Mims is Trent Brown. At bedd I think we are dealing with a Willie Anderson like
    Prospect. Multiple All Pros and Pro Bowls. He is the size of Orlando and Trent BUT he is athletic as fuck where Orlando and Trent are not.

    Hopefully, they can run efficiently enough to make playing 2 deep against the Bengals a problem, which will help the passing game

  • @NathanDean79
    @NathanDean79 Месяц назад +2

    But yes I agree with you
    James in that Trent Brown is Mimss’ floor. I think his ceiling is so high you need a fucking telescope to see it. I think it could be a Lane Johnson kind of ceilings or may even be a Willie Anderson type of ceiling. I think it more likely to be a Lane Johnson Andrew Whitworth kind of ceiling but who knows we may have just drafted an all time great. I know he has the physical tools to do whatever the hell he wants.

    Jake our first 4 linebackers are not small LOL. What the hell are you smoking up there? Pratt is 6’3’’ 250 Wilson is 6’2’’ 245. ADG is kind of smaller but that on purpose because he is a speedy LB 6’2’’ 225 who runs 4.5. Bachie is 6’2’’ 235. They are all modern lb size. Pratt had old school LB size. The Kid from Wisconsin is 6’ 234. I think Pratt, Wilson, ADG, Bachie, Devin Harper are out LBs this year. I had no idea that Devin Harper was such a freak. He is 6’ 238 so almost exactly the same size as the Wisconsin kid Harper runs a 4.50 has a 40.5 inch vertical and did 21 reps on the press. His RAS is 9.52. Wisconsin kid and the kid they signed from Indiana and Shaka Heyward are our practice squad LBs. If they keep 6 which I don’t think they do I think Beyward would be the 6th.

      @@uog293 I understand your thinking, but that’s not the direction they are going in. Run blocking can be taught easier but pass blocking is number one priority. It’s mostly a pass league now and Bengals can win without the Run but I do wish they would do more with what you’re saying. I would like to see some jumbo sets, 2 TE sets, etc, to be creative and establish more of an effective run.

    I don't view him as risky at all. At least not beyond normal top prospect risk. Fewer starts but plenty of snaps, plenty of experience playing tackle, plenty of good technique and athleticism, and coming from a good program and coaching.
    I would be shocked if he's a "bust" - assuming bust means incapable of starting at even a decent level.

  • @xboxbam3979

    As far as UDFA possibly making the team, it'd be between the Tx Tech Punter and possibly the LSU RB Noah Cain.
    If Bengals reduce the RB room to 3, then Noah Cain has no chance though.
    Noah Cain's biggest strengths are his blocking ability and his catching ability, so he'd make for a good blocker/dump play candidate, much like how Perine did in 2022. I think that's a niche that if Bengals value it, could land Noah Cain on the active roster. It'd also make him a good special teams blocker as well.

    Hey Jake why do you think Maema Njongmeta is a big body who has a chance to make the team. You said we don’t have a linebacker like him? I disagree. Maema is 5’11 3/4’’ tall so let’s say 6’ barley. 6’ and was 229 when he tested and is listed as 227. He is slow too. Ran a 4.80 forty and only 15 reps on the bench press. So if when you said we don’t have a LB like him on the team that’s true we don’t have any small slow LBs on the team. And we don’t need any. We got Pratt 6’3’’ 250 runs 4.57 Logan 6’2’’ 245 runs 4.63. We got ADG 6’2’’ 228 runs 4.51. We got Bachie 6’2’’ 235. We got Devin Harper 6’ 238 runs 4.50. We got Shaka Heyward 6’3’’ 238. And Devin Harper I think he is definantly making the team. Pratt, Logan, ADG, Bachie, and Harper are making the team. If they decide to keep 6 then Heyward is also in. But Devin Harper is an athletic freak show. He was a 6th round pick of the Cowboys out of Oklahoma State he is 6’ and but over 6’ 238 runs 4.50 has a 10 yard split of 1.57 a 20 yard shuttle of 4.03 3 cone of 6.84 a 40.5 inches vertical a 9’11’’ broad jump and did 21 reps on the bench press. His RAS is 9.51. He has elite speed elite agility and near elite explosion. His height and weight were the things he took the biggest knock. There was only 1 red bar on his RAS and that was height which is something he cannot control. I can’t believe the Cowboys let this guy go. They are dumbasses. I could see Harper and Bachie making the team and the 4 and 5 LB. I don’t think the guy from Wisconsin stands a chance. They also got a LB from Indiana Aaron Casey. He is 6’1’’ 231 runs 4.75. The only number he has that were impressive were his 10 yard split of 1.59. His RAS is 4.38. So he is probably up for a practice squad spot only. I like the guy from Wisconsin better than than Casey.

    For offensive linemen Saben doesn’t know what the fuck he is talking about. This is the same guy that said Jonah Williams could be a pro Bowl/All Pro at any position on the offensive line. Yea hasn’t turned out that way. This is the same guy who said Evan Neal would be an All Pro RT. Yea they had to move him from RT and try him at guard and that didn’t work either. Bama offensive tackles have a TERRIBLE AWEFUL track record in the NFL. Name 1 Bama tackle in the last 10 years that has amounted to anything. Don’t bother looking because there aren’t any. Saben says Burton was a mistake to draft or something like that. Well Nick he led your fucking team last year in receiving yards and tds. If they had a descent QB at Bama he would have produced more and been a first round pick. Yea so if Saben says ANYTHJNG bad about Mims I would ignore him because he said Jonah and Even Neal would be great. Hasn’t happened. Won’t happen ever. And that is the main reason I’m glad they did t draft JC Latham. 1. Because he did not test 2. He played at Bama and they don’t produce good NFL offensive linemen. I mean name 1 in the past 20 years from Bama who was good. DJ Fluker maybe? He was ok. Just ok and didn’t play like a 1st round lineman. He was as good as Jonah Williams.
