Your analysis is great. But I think there is something missing in your analysis of Gibbs at the goal line. You have to take into account that Montgomery got hurt. Gibbs received goal line touches during that time. Also, Gibbs did receive more touches in the red zone in general in the 2nd half of the season. However, Montgomery received nearly all of the touches near the goal line in the playoffs when he was healthy and it mattered. So I don't think anything has changed in that specific regard. Montgomery is a steal. He will eat. And if anything happens to Gibbs, he's a top 5 RB.
@@JoeMama-nl8xp Yeah that's why I traded Achane. I'd rather get 15 pts consistently over a player who's injured half the season with an occasional 40 pts.

@@Kpizzo I have no issue with anyone saying I’m wrong about the actual room, but how do you justify opportunity cost? 0 chance I’m taking him over either steeler, either cardinal, pollard, mostert, moss, B rob, or javontae
Yes, RBs *usually* take *about* two years to get back most or all of their power and quicks after ACL surgery. Breece Hall came back to start the 2023 season after his injury in Week 7 of 2022, just 9 months later, and played the full season. First of all, he won’t reach the two year mark until almost December this season, so for most of the coming fantasy season he’ll still be playing “injured”. Second of all, not every RB fully recovers after ACL surgery. We hope he’ll be even better at some point this season, but we don’t know for sure when or if that will happen. And yes the Jets have taken steps to improve their offensive line, but Atlanta’s line is still better. Per Matt Bitonti’s 2024 Offensive Line Rankings, the Falcons are ranked 3rd and the Jets 7th. Both teams had poor QB play last season and both teams have borderline starting QBs this season. Frankly I personally think it’s a matter of time before an immobile Aaron Rogers coming off ACL surgery gets injured again or benched, and then it’s Tyrod Taylor, who also has an injury history. So I still like Bijon’s situation better, the Falcons have more weapons, a better QB situation, a better offensive line, and a better rush defense, which helps control the game script.
That makes me very happy that you’re going Breece Hall over Bijan. For some reason I’ve been doing the same thing the last few months if I decide to take one of those guys.
Rodgers is coming off an Achilles injury and not the dual-threat he once was. He's gonna be checking the ball down more than he did in GB. NYJ also rebuilt their o-line. We'll see how that works out for them, but it's highly unlikely that their o-line is worse than last year.
I definitely prefer Bijan, especially basing any statistics on a horrendous Arthur Smith led offense who's now about to torture Pittsburgh fans. Good riddance.
Saying that like Aaron Jones didn’t get 60 receptions in Rodgers last healthy year.. or that Rodgers presence on the Jets won’t create far more opportunities for Breece to score.
Breece Hall recorded 37% of his total rushing yards and 27% of his total receptions last season in 2 games. Breece Hall has one career game with multiple TDs.
Maybe it's because I'm a Physical therapist, but I don't trust Aaron Rodgers' 40yo Injured Achilles has adequately recovered... I think the Jets will be a dumpster fire again, and Breece and Wilson will have similar seasons and they'll earn a top 10 selection..
I don't think he is 100 percent fully healed but I do think he is at a place where he can perform. Won't be nearly the du.pster fire it was. Jets have a very solid team this year. They could easily win the division.
Hall had over 33% of his rushing yards in two games. Week 18 when he bizarrely got 37 carries against a dead NE team and week 5 against a Denver defense in complete disarray after getting shredded by Miami week 3 and making Justin Fields look like the best passing QB in the NFL in week 4. If an out of shape 40 year old Rodgers goes down again, and lets be honest he visited the Pyramids in Egypt over showing up to OTAs so how motivated is he to play football?, what do you think that means for Hall? I'm not avoiding him, although I think the case can be made, but I'm certainly not moving him up in rankings either. Maybe I'm wrong and Rodgers turns the clock back, but I'm not betting on it give me Bijan every day of the week.
Mason have you done a video on the draft pick that has had the most success? Is there a correlation on the highest winnings teams and draft pick they have?
Every argument you made for Hall can be said for Bijan as well. The way I see it draft either one and you’re good at RB1… Bijan got a huge upgrade at QB has a better O line than Hall as well. Bijan has a new offensive system though and we have to see what that’s going to look like. Like I said Hall or Bijan is a win win
I'm at 19 percent breece 3 percent bijon. 22 percent Montgomery and I haven't take aaron jones at all. 18 percent Jonathan brooks and 5 percent najee Harris I've completed 85 drafts so far. Full disclosure I entered 1200 worth of drafts last year got 300 back at end of season
I like the value with Montgomery and Brooks. I'm totally out on Jones as well, but the only back I'm taking in round 1 is CMC. I can see an argument for Breece, but Bijan was a letdown last year, and we haven't seen anything from him that's worth a 1st round pick. Nothing. He may ball out this year, and, if he does, I'll draft him in round 1 next year. Everyone's drafting him off hype alone.
Had an insane exposure level to breece last year. Smartest thing I did was ignore Mason’s sell advice. Try at being said, I’m not touching him this year

@willg1315 while I'm sure he does, Kirk is a machine at racking up passing attempts and now the Vikings have 2 viable running backs, so I'd bet they haver around league average RB usage
Both RBs have the opportunity to explode this year and honestly have very similar outcomes and team improvements surrounding them. Saying Breece did more with less is valid, but let’s not act like Bijan had the most ideal circumstances around him either. Both teams are bringing in a highly experienced veteran qb with no rushing upside, both coming off the same major injury, pass catching option depth isn’t the best for either team, but you very well can argue Atlanta is in an even worse spot, and they have a Kirk Cousins who WILL throw the ball at a prolific rate where that can’t really be said with Rodgers at this point in his career. Both have pros and cons about their situations. If it’s solely about who should be ranked higher, sure, put Breece ahead, but Bijan can easily have an explosive season of his own where his upside shouldn’t be ignored

Ekeler has sneaky upside but I doubt he's faster than BRob anymore, who's now got 2 years of healing from tragic off the field injury which is about how long it takes. Meanwhile, Ekeler has definitely lost a step. I think BRob has a higher top speed nowadays based on last season's film. You won't even find a 2023 Ekeler highlight video that doesn't include 2022. I still like picking Ekeler in general cause you never know, but I'd take at least equal shares BRob.
Breece Hall has nothing to worry about from Braelon Allen. As a Wisconsin fan I have watched Allen get worse over the last two years. He bulked up, but that made him slow. Of our recent RBs entering the NFL (James White, Melvin Gordon, Montee Ball, Jonathon Taylor) Allen is by far the weakest.
What do you think about drafting Breece or Bijan with the second pick, which is where I'll be drafting. Is Cee Dee a better pick at 2 than Breece or Bijan?
Looking for advice: 10 team, PPR, 3 WR, 2 Flex, redraft, drafting 7th (but I have no 1st round pick - traded it for CMC last year and lost in championship to my wife and Lamar Jackson). Keep one: CeeDee in the 2nd, Gibbs in the 3rd, or Achane in the 13th.
Oooh that’s damn tough. I’d take Lamb though. It would be nearly impossible to replace that talent later in the draft and you could always play the waiver wire for RBs in a 10 team league. In a 10 team, the tier 1 guys are always significantly more valuable than the wr/rb 5-10 range. Lamb scored over 400pts in full ppr last year which is absolutely insane. If you didn’t get lamb, I’d lean toward Achane in the 13th bc of the massive upside he potentially gives you at such a steal. If you do that, I wouldn’t draft another RB until you have 2-3wr, te, and stud qb. Ideally, you should get your wr1, then try to get the best qb and te available in the 3rd/4th depending on who is available. If Hurts/Allen are gone I’m thinking Lamar and MAndrews for most of my teams and picking up Likely later on as insurance. Hope that helps
@@NelsonWicker haha I was in that same boat. Started playing dynasty this season and now I’m never bored 😂 I also think Nico is a huge value where he is going in drafts.

To all in the flock. I just joined a league on the app sleeper for this years season and I’m new to fantasy football. Is the advice given from mason for drafting strat for underdog different from what I’ll be doing once the season starts ?. Thank you for anyone who replies
His player evaluations are good for both formats. I think the major difference between redraft and best-ball are how you structure your teams. Zero-RB is king in best-ball, but I am less likely to use the structure in re-draft leagues.
Best Ball strategy does differ from redraft leagues. The information is still relevant though. You won't see as much zero rb builds in redraft like you will under dog best ball but it will help with your analysis of players and where you want to take them.
I drafted Jonathan Taylor in the 3rd round of my dynasty 12 team .5 PPR league, then traded him for the 2024 1.09 (Drafted Xavier Worthy), Devonte Adams, & Nick Chubb. Then I traded Adams for Mclaurin and to move up from 2.11 to 2.08 to get Penix Jr. how did I do?
That’s a common misconception, having a very talented passer gives upside to a Running back because the defense has to be much more worried about passing threats thus opening up the box and spreading defenses out
@@Red-qv4nb the fact that he will be running into lighter boxes doesn’t change the fact that he will still have less volume if his quarterback is throwing the ball more

Allen is overrated af there’s a reason he fell all the way to the 4th round that Oline he had in college also was extremely stacked. You need to watch more tape if you think he is a threat to Breece hall that’s hilarious to Breece hall?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It does when you downgraded at every position except QB(London>Pickens, Bijan>whoever the steelers play, Pitts>Friermeuth, etc.) The only upgrade is whichever QB they play over Desmond Ridder and that might not be a much better upgrade. I have Breece and Bijan in a 2 keeper league, so hyped but torn who my first picks should be. Henry or wr like Wilson?
Wilson Derrick Henry will be available 2nd third round turn
Mason I think you should look at how these rbs do after coming off a 350+ touch season. That’s the downside I see with these guys.
Achane in the 13th? Round?
@@jcass1970 Yeah, we get to keep a player in the round they were drafted the previous year
@@IAMLEGIT2323 Thanks! That's a solid plan. Now I get to agonize over this until late August! :-)
@@NelsonWicker haha I was in that same boat. Started playing dynasty this season and now I’m never bored 😂
I also think Nico is a huge value where he is going in drafts.
In a league where I can keep one guy and give up the draft pick I selected him with last year. Keep Bijan and forgo 2nd round pick or keep laporta and lose last pick of draft?
Id take the value on Laporta...got one of the best TEs with ur last pick and will still get a stud in the 2nd rd. Just me tho
Can you make a redraft strategy video soon
2 years out from acl is why you should go after the kid from Denver
Disagree that Bijan was in a better situation. Scheme is the single most important factor. Idc how good your line is if you don’t get the ball…
Also without the one outlier week where Breece got 16 targets, their PPG is about the same
To all in the flock. I just joined a league on the app sleeper for this years season and I’m new to fantasy football. Is the advice given from mason for drafting strat for underdog different from what I’ll be doing once the season starts ?. Thank you for anyone who replies
This video applies to both!
I have the #2 pick in a 12 team PPR
Am I crazy for thinking about taking bijan over lamb?
Yes imo
bijan got like 7 redzone carries, that will change
Thoughts of austin ekeler this year?
I drafted Jonathan Taylor in the 3rd round of my dynasty 12 team .5 PPR league, then traded him for the 2024 1.09 (Drafted Xavier Worthy), Devonte Adams, & Nick Chubb. Then I traded Adams for Mclaurin and to move up from 2.11 to 2.08 to get Penix Jr. how did I do?
Bad
Should I trade Chase for this year’s 1.01 and 1.02?
Roster construction depends
Aaron Rodgers playing a full year this year could be good but having a capable passer can also lead to him having less volume
That’s a common misconception, having a very talented passer gives upside to a Running back because the defense has to be much more worried about passing threats thus opening up the box and spreading defenses out
@@Red-qv4nb the fact that he will be running into lighter boxes doesn’t change the fact that he will still have less volume if his quarterback is throwing the ball more
@@blakebass2555Rodgers checks down to rbs quite a bit
Aaron Jones…great example that RB can feast with Rodgers

not a great pick at 2.10 but it's alright
How is getting Breece Hall at the end of the second round instead of first not a good pick? @@titanbaits9693
@titanbaits9693 Breece at the end of the second isn't a good pick? Dude is on that lean
Underdog still not being available in Michigan is a crime. We can gamble away our money at casinos and on fan duel or DK but i guess underdogs is bad 🤬
You can do drafts on underdog. Not pickem
Mason, I miss you 😭
Did yall not do this last year for the jets?? 😂 garret wilson, aaron Rodgers, improved o line, breece hall blah blah blah blah
Since when did Troy Aikman start doing bestball videos??
Same person who spam drafted Bijan in first round because he could not get rid of his player Bias, giving advice on best RB's and chooses one with HORRIBLE consistency. NO CHANCE SAME THING HAPPENS...
Please show me How you have won over 200k In fantasy football in 2 years...Thanks
Start using more Redraft data instead of strictly bestball 👍🏻
I'm sorry I owned breece last year and outside of a few games he was pedestrian. When I needed him the most in my week 15 playoff game I got about 4 points from him. He was not efficient at at as a runner aside a few games and if Rodgers not checking down to him then I'm not sure he's gonna be what most of yall say he will. I have 5th pick and really don't know if I wanna go chase/Jefferson or bijan/breece. They all have flags and if I had the sack I'd just go Gibbs in full ppr lol
Breece Hall won me 2 leagues last season, where Bijan almost lost me one of those. Team Breece all day
If you have a RB 1 then why draft 3RB’s in two years after him?
Because injuries are real and RB take a beating.
Yup only red flag I see with Breece
@@Flockfantasy Breece scares me and Bijan is fitting to take off.
I’m taking bijan over hall, no injury history on the nfl and getting a qb that can actually push the ball to the goal line
Yup aaron Rodgers being a bust and me being triple vaxed, hahahah jokes on me, hahaha
I'm avoiding Aaron Jones this year because he's at the injury age for RB
Take this in consideration..Raheem mostert is 32 & had the best year of his life last year scoring 18 tds….Aaron jones is 29

It’s the competition behind Hall, Allen has been “turning heads at camp” and let’s not forget how great he was in the big 10… every year over 5 yards a carry…
I also don’t like the fact he trimmed down, Allen is already 15 pounds heavier on paper, who knows how much lower Breece got
I think Allen is a real threat…
Allen is overrated af there’s a reason he fell all the way to the 4th round that Oline he had in college also was extremely stacked. You need to watch more tape if you think he is a threat to Breece hall that’s hilarious to Breece hall?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@deontookflight317 🤦♂️ Hall had the same situation his last year… one of the best and most experienced lines in the country, ranked 1st in conference… this is a team that made a new year 6 the year before that and beat Oregon…

Bijan>breece
Good luck with hall with a 40 year old qb coming off an Achilles everyone hypes up Aaron rodgers he’s not Brady going to play forever. Zach Wilson did beat Josh Allen Jalen hurts Cj stroud, had mahomes but yeah he’s a bum he had no offense line. I would take Gibbs over both probably has the best offensive line in football and has that 4.3 speed
Why are we assuming the Steelers offense is garbage based on last seasons stats? It’s a completely different offense now, not that it’s going to be good per say, but using last seasons offense stats isn’t going to help anyone
It does when you downgraded at every position except QB(London>Pickens, Bijan>whoever the steelers play, Pitts>Friermeuth, etc.) The only upgrade is whichever QB they play over Desmond Ridder and that might not be a much better upgrade. The Steelers offense isn't going to be productive this season with Arthur Smith calling plays
@@silverknight876Steelers o line continues to be bolstered up and the Steelers might lead the league in rush attempts this szn. Russell Wilson is also a check down machine and Arthur smith is a big upgrade at OC when compared to the numbnut (Matt Canada) who was calling the plays last year
@@beansalad3785 The falcons had some of the highest graded O-line play in the league last year and Smith still found a way to lose more games than the Steelers in the weakest division in football. He's only viewed as an upgrade over Matt Canada because everyone in Pittsburgh was ready to run Matt Canada out of town lol
@@silverknight876 I get what you are saying, it makes sense, but Arthur smith was actually a good oc for the titans… he was a terrible hc for the falcons but it’s not like he was the sole reason for their failures. I don’t care about the falcons losing more games than the Steelers last year… we are talking fantasy football. smith might be a dunce when it comes to being a hc, but I don’t see how you can argue he is worse than canada.
Brooks could end up being a bigger bust than Bryce Young… the panthers are realllly bad at making football decisions
Look at his game against Alabama… every defense he will play will be Alabama or better. Chuba playing for a contract
