Here in NS we have to pay a 15% tax on cars, even used ones. Another 10% on cars over $100k would be a bit extreme.

I don't think the truth will save us this time. Government actions do not appear rational because AI created and tested strategies never appear rational to human intuition. That's why humans lose to these high power decision engines.
We love Canadians in the USA. Come on down and settle in a state with no income tax and avoid the Canadian taxes. Canada is just going to chase out the upper middle class, the professionals who make the economy hum and that results in a loss of human capital because people and money flow across borders like water and it will find the lowest tax rate.
Thanks and you are right for sure. Some big taxation recently at the provincial level did nothing but chase business to the states. These plugs can't see past the shiny nickel. Thats why I love Nevada and Florida. Been there and could do either for sure.
@@markholubetz Canada is a great nation but with the Quebecois always agitating for independence and the First Nations seeking reparations and ever more autonomy just as the Arctic becomes the NW Passage and with the Maritimes always flat broke and dependent on transfer payments from BC, Alberta and Ontario to balance their budgets, the whole national confederation seems unstable at times (not to say America is not also dysfunctional) .....
