This recipe was great! It was put me and my family in the fall spirit. Thank you for making it so easy. I always thought it was much more complicated.❤
i used to drink yellowish and bright color apple cider (forget where i drink it) maybe i would skip Cinnamon's part.... worth to try especially in a hot day
Nicole, wondering if you've made applesauce from the left over apples after making cider ? if Not, do you have an applesauce recipe from scratch ? Tho with alot less sugar !
Red delicious apples are pretty but not the best flavor or texture, in my opinion. Maybe they’re good for something like this recipe, but I don’t use them for pies or eating fresh.
I know this is a few years late but what is the point of putting a lid for the last 2 hours? This goes for other dishes too like stews, what does the lid change about the cooking process vs no lid?
Eh I would take the core out, or at least the seeds, apple seeds contain pseudo-cyanide, plus have a very bitter taste. It only takes 1 minute to pick out seeds so do that I recommend
Just got the Johny Apple peeler for $29 with the screw clamp base, not the suction cup. It peels, cores, and slices all at once. Been making stewed apples every other day. We have a nearby apple ranch and got a half bushel for $30.
It's not supposed to have alcohol it's apple cider not hard apple cider which is a fermented alcohol apple drink. Also this isn't how you make juice anyway

Add a shot of spiced rum to hot cider, and it makes for a really nice winter evening’s night cap!!! ☕️
OR bourbon, brandy, rye, Irish whiskey...
Cold here in Canada so this great!
Have a great weekend!
If I had known it was that easy? I'd make it years ago! Yum!
Right? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I thought it was a difficult process 🤣
I never took the time to make this.. I always bought the “Swiss miss” apple cider packets. Lol! Going to try this, thank you!😊
I plan to use this as my base for a homemade apple cinnamon cyser. Thanks for an easy recipe!
Best cider and applesauce I’ve ever had! Thanks!

If you had cored the apples, you could have used the pulp to make apple sauce.
Yes!! I was thinking “all that waste” of good cooked apples. 😢
My daughter just asked me if I was making Apple sauce with it.
I will remember that for my first batch. "Waste not, want not."
How do you do that?
Oh yeah I'm making this 😊❤️
Looks great! And I bet the apple slices can turn into applesauce!
Is that what you do with the apples? Pudding?
If I core the apples before cooking, can I blend them up after straining and use as apple sauce?🤔
I intend on making cider and then using it to make a spiced apple mead
I take the core out to repurpose my apples and make apple sauce thank me later
Way to go! ❤ nice and simple 😊
I want to make this and drink it!
Looks delicious! I love to add a little whipped cream with my hot cider. Yum! Thank you! Gonna find some apples on sale.
I'm going to try that! 😍

Wow great how to video. I will try it tonight🙂
How long can you store this? And can we reheat it once it's refrigerated?
Can you store it for a long time? Or do you serve it immediately?
Water 2 inches above the apples...???? The apples float! Where is that measurement?! 😵💫
Push them down
Where are the apples were originally laying?
I’d love to try this!!
For everyone that doesn't know, the recipe is in the description box. ❤
I like cold apple cider
Great job every time 😊
How much sugar did you add to the apple cider?? How much all spice did you add to the apple cider??
Could I use the cooked apples for apple sauce after straining the liquid?
Ya
peel & core, place peels in cheese cloth.. cooked apples r great as applesauce.
Yummmmmm ...so delicious ❤️
Yummy 😊
These red delicious apples are beautiful. The ones we are getting here in Barbados seem to be the last grade batch. I don't buy them.

How much sugar and apple spice?
How much does 10 apples make? 1gallon?
Could you give us a recipe for mulled wine?
How much sugar, cinnamon and all spice did you use for this? Thank you.
I was about to ask that

Good with vodka too??
How much sugar and cinnamon?
😇❤❤❤❤❤🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎Mmmmmmm Mmmmmmm Thank you for posting.
This is a kompot/compote not a cider. Cider is a type of fermented beverage.
Not in north America, that would be called hard apple cider.
Hot apple cider needs some butterscotch schnapps. Yum
Eh I would take the core out, or at least the seeds, apple seeds contain pseudo-cyanide, plus have a very bitter taste. It only takes 1 minute to pick out seeds so do that I recommend
Would go good with brandy.
😅
GET COOKINI ?
This is apple "juice", not cider. Cider has to be fermented..
Wrong. In north America this is apple cider. Fermented would be called hard apple cider.
The apples at the grocery store are waxed
Buy organic

That's apple juice... Wheres the alcohol?

@@baxterandcottonI have never heard of "hard" cider. There's only apple juice and cider (alcoholic) where I come from.
