Love you two, great material. Apparently the US Navy just blew up the Nordstream 1 & 2 pipelines. The 6th Fleet is currently conducting BALTOPS 22 off the coast of Denmark, which includes testing of unmanned underwater mine demolition vehicles. This represents an escalation in the proxy war between US/NATO and Russia/China. How will Russia respond?
Stacy, thank you for all your videos about ferments, loved reading your fermenting book & watching your videos, going to try to make fire cider this week. I don't know if the apples my kids are picking are organic or not but I'm still going to try to make ACV for practice here at home. Hopefully my apple trees will give us apples next year for some organic home grown apples.

Thanks for this. I have been dehydrating apple slices for my husband and I hate throwing the cores away. I will start freezing them until I have enough to for a batch. As my aunt used to say, “You are as handy as a pocket on a shirt”
When you freeze those it may kill the natural bacteria that help the fermenting process. ask Stacy from Off Grid with Doug & Stacy what yeast she recpommends use in that case. You can still do it but may need to add a yeast culture to it.
I saw you were going to freeze your cores, I have a thought for you. I make gnat traps with sugared water and a fruit slice, some times banana, some times apples. I have noticed on more than one occasion that the mixture had turned to vinegar. My thought is don't freeze them, just make an ongoing batch. As you get more cores, just add them to your earlier batch. 😉

Tonight, I just divided the vinegar and scoby from the apple scraps. The scoby is so cool!! I did it!! Now I have it ready to sit and ferment for the next 3 months. Thank you for showing us how to make it!!! 🍎 🍎🍎🥰
I first saw how to make vinegars on Heidi's Rain Country Channel. The past few months I've been experimenting. I do small batches. So far, I've made vinegar from banana peels, peaches, and mangoes. The apple one is almost ready. I do stir mine every day for two weeks, then, let it sit another two weeks. I use wet tshirt material in my strainer to get everything out. I then put a lid on it and put it on the shelf in my dark pantry. So far, I have to say, I really enjoy cooking with the banana peel vinegar. It really enhances the flavor of my sauteed Squash, onions and Zucchini.
@@Emunah317 Yes, ma'am. I strained out my apple one last night. That was my first apple one. Wow! It's strong! Smells so wonderful! For the banana peel one, I get organic bananas. (I make small batches). I'll cut up the peels of 2 bananas into small pieces, add about 1/4 cup sugar, and pour in some distilled water. I like to stir with a wooden chopstick. Lol. It's easy because I cut everything in small pieces. The peach one is the same way. It's a really pretty color. But I don't like the peach as much as I thought I would. Also, there's a raisin one that Heidi makes that looks yummy. I think that's her main one for cooking. She makes flower vinegar for her hair rinse that I want to try as well.
Hi Stacy and Doug, you channel is life changing. I’m up for the challenge and now have my apple scraps vinegar sitting in my pantry ready for me to stir again tomorrow. You are amazing. I made my first batch of ACV. It was great. Starting taking it and my weight starting dropping like crazy. Im on my 2nd batch and will never buy AVC from the store again. Thank you so for all your help. 💚💚
I'm almost at the 2 week stage, I started my ACV the day you did the live video. I had to look for what to do next and I need to wait 2 more weeks. I'm glad I clicked on this video because that parchment paper/ baking paper idea is awesome! I wish I knew that sooner lol. I used to buy acv so I'm so excited to be making my own. thank you Stacey ❤❤❤❤

Hi Doug & Stacey! Binge watching your videos, old and new, for weeks now. So inspired and sharing information with my husband to start making moves toward our own Homestead. We live in an 1800s old school house, so the bones are there 🥰 Thanks so much for sharing your journey and how-to's!
I'm really enjoying these types of videos lately. There are so many great things that you can make out of ordinary foods that I didn't even know about. I'm really wanting to try to use/eat natural things that come from the earth without all of the nasty chemicals. So learning these things is just fantastic! I want to make everything that I see you making! Thank you for showing us these great beneficial skills.
I'm so excited to get these instructions on making apple cider vinegar! I will definitely be using some of my apples to make this. I always have organic store bought apple cider vinegar as I also use it in my home made salad dressing which is quite expensive and like everything else, getting more pricey. Thanks again for another great homesteading idea! Love you guys. 😊
Love ya, girl! You've helped my family so much. I am healthier because of your knowledge and willingness to share. I'm gonna call you Aunt Stacey! Its more than any of my biological Aunts have taught me.
Perfect timing! I have been making the fermented applesauce from Stacy's cookbook lately and want to make apple cider vinegar, as well. Oh, and the fermented applesauce tastes amazing by itself or with my homemade yogurt! YUM!
Apple cider vinegar at the store is getting expensive now. I’m making apple butter to can, & using my scraps & cores to make a qt jar of this! Ty Stacy! I’m thinking, too, of using a coffee filter as my cover for the jars of the cider.
Thank you, Stacy. I've been hearing you talk about making our own Apple Cider vinegar and I'm ready to get started making mine now. I very much appreciate seeing you do this and talking about it.
I really appreciate how straightforward your videos are Stacy. You do a great job explaining things. I’ve been wanting to make apple cider vinegar for a while and a lot of articles complicate the process. I’m much more encouraged to try this now after I take my stepson and husband apple picking this weekend. Thank you!
Thank you Stacy! I’m kind of intimidated by fermenting, but watching your videos is encouraging. I love how you explain things. I’m learning so much! ❤
Just strained my apples and added 2 shots of Braggs ACV to the strained juice. Now waiting 3 months and I am looking forward to trying it in early 2024! Thank you so much!
I made Cider vinegar inspired by you but I only used the cores and skins with a cup of vinegar mother in a 1/2 gallon jar with filtered water. I forgot to add sugar and I actually forgot the entire batch for 9 months with no stirring and it still worked. Crazy.
Going to do this when we get settled, prayers needed as we are trusting God to get to good ole Texas for land for a homestead. It's hot but living in Florida has helped. I am Florida bree a cracker thru and thru but we feel Texas is calling us. An RV in the works and after helping with our church in Navajo country, Texas next
Seven weeks ago, I started my first jars of ACV. After straining it, I had very cloudy liquid. Seemed may of the apples had turned to mush. Now covered and in a cool dark closet, I was concerned that I had done something wrong. But today I am waiting until February anticipating having apple cider vinegar. Thanks Stacy for this video. This is my second time to watch it and I think I may be okay with the process now. I have 3.5 gallons 😅.

I have apple cider. Then with the left over pulp I cooked it down into a sauce added cinnamon and sugar and made leather for my kids. I plan to make apple brandy and apple cider as well as apple chips. I am totally loving apple season.
I just strained my pear cider vinegar and had scobies on all three of my 1/2 gallons, one was real thick. Strained them into 2-- 1/2 gallons and kept the scobies in there. Can't wait till 3-4 months!
When Stacy said " it's a Show Me", it reminded me. Back in my childhood I remember, whenever one of us kids would say "show me" my mother would ask "are you from Missouri?"....Missouri is the Show Me state. Then I grew up and thought about those little teaching moments we all share with our kids. Of course I wondered why my Mom would remember this information as we were raised in New Jersey, The Garden State! I think she knew all the states mottoes. LOL We're talking 50 years ago...May she RIP
I've done several long range Stacy recipes but was a little intimidated on this one so with Stacy on a play by play on the countertop where I was working I did it. Super exciting! Also Braggs ACV has gone from $3.59 a quart to $5.99 today in one year!! You'll get more ACV for less $$ with Stacy's recipe and the great great feeling of more self reliance. TU Stacy!!

@OFFGRIDwithDOUGSTACY I attended your women's conference. I just completed my first gallon of apple cider vinegar. Thanks for all the knowledge sharing.
We used a coffee filter with a rubber band. Seems to work. Almost to the second step. I have also been drinking it everyday with water and lemon juice. Has lots of health benefits.
I started this one week ago, same day made a qt jar of fermented honey garlic. Also ordered freeze dried elderberries to make tincures....very EXCITED. Thank you 😊
I have been making apple cider vinegar for a while now. I have never let it sit with a cloth on it once I strained the apples. I am trying it this way now! So I will see in 4 or so months if there is a difference in what I use to do and this method! Very excited! Thank you!
I leave apples in until the vinegar is ready. Then I separate apples out, run them in a food processor, add some sugar and spices, put in the refrigerator and add it to salad as dressing. It keeps forever in the fridge. Sometimes I pick wild apples and clean them up (many are full of bug holes) for the vinegar, sometimes I use just the apple cores. I save the good apples without the core for eating. Wild apple vinegar is so good.
*I've been trying to include apple cider vinegar into my routine for ages, but the taste just made it so hard. Goli ACV Gummies really were a game changer for me* 🍎

Oh the peach vinegar sounds so good. Is it the same process as described to make the apple version?
I am now sitting down to write out my notes on this for my natural remedies binder. Thank you, what a blessing you both are. The saying is very true “knowledge is power” Have a blessed day. 🙋🏼♀️🇦🇺
I would add the sugar first, then the water, stir to dissolve, then mix in the apples 🙂 I had no idea it was this easy, thank you!
Hey Doug and Stacy I had a truck route up through Dundee Ohio today I saw a sign for lehmans and I thought to myself I can feel Doug and Stacy in the air.😅 Awesome recipe by the way I'll have to try that Awesome recipe by the way I'll have to try that.
I Finally started a batch of ACV! I also threw together a bunch of veggies into two half gallon jars to ferment. I’ve lost a few batches to mold, using these special gadgets like the pickle pipe lid, but I’m trying again. 😀
Stacy is an excellent teacher! Love the step by step instruction. Thank you!
You are amazing. I made my first batch of ACV. It was great. Starting taking it and my weight starting dropping like crazy. Im on my 2nd batch and will never buy AVC from the store again. Thank you so for all your help. 💚💚
What do you do w the removed apple pieces though
I’ve been planning to make this for a few years now. Procrastination is my downfall. Thank you Stacey for this reminder!!
Yay! Perfect timing! I just finished all my apple canning projects and have the cores and peels frozen in the freezer waiting for me to make vinegar. I have never done it before but I am so excited! Thanks for the tip on adding a few fresh apples. I’m gonna get started today!
I made our ACV fall of 2022, thanks to you!!!! Priceless you are. I cannot thank you enough! I love this vinegar.
I'm sure it'll be gone way before next fall. Will be making more and going to teach my brother and mother how to do this as well.
God bless!🥰
Hi Doug & Stacey! Binge watching your videos, old and new, for weeks now. So inspired and sharing information with my husband to start making moves toward our own Homestead. We live in an 1800s old school house, so the bones are there 🥰 Thanks so much for sharing your journey and how-to's!
Make some apple pear and apple sauce yesterday. And today I started my first batch of apple cider vinegar. Wish me luck 😁
Started my apple cider vinegar 3 days ago with lots of older huge apples given to me! Thank you for your help!
Such a great channel to learn things from. Thank you
10/12/23 I'm straining out apples today, can't wait 😊
I'm so excited to get these instructions on making apple cider vinegar! I will definitely be using some of my apples to make this. I always have organic store bought apple cider vinegar as I also use it in my home made salad dressing which is quite expensive and like everything else, getting more pricey.
Thanks again for another great homesteading idea! Love you guys. 😊
Our apple trees are producing FINALLY!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 We’re starting a few gallons of ACV and apple brandy today!! Thank you for all your tips 🤗
Great learning Stacy... thank you so much for sharing! I love your fermenting book also.
Where did you find her book?
Love ya, girl! You've helped my family so much. I am healthier because of your knowledge and willingness to share. I'm gonna call you Aunt Stacey! Its more than any of my biological Aunts have taught me.
Perfect timing! I have been making the fermented applesauce from Stacy's cookbook lately and want to make apple cider vinegar, as well. Oh, and the fermented applesauce tastes amazing by itself or with my homemade yogurt! YUM!
Well I missed that one? Never heard of fermented applesauce but for some reason it sounds tasty!
Apple cider vinegar at the store is getting expensive now. I’m making apple butter to can, & using my scraps & cores to make a qt jar of this! Ty Stacy! I’m thinking, too, of using a coffee filter as my cover for the jars of the cider.
I’ve always been curious about this topic! Great topic Stacy and thank you for the info! ❤
Thanks for showing me how to do this Stacy I made some in 2023 and now it’s September 30, 2024 and I’m going to make it again today!!!
Thank you, Stacy. I've been hearing you talk about making our own Apple Cider vinegar and I'm ready to get started making mine now. I very much appreciate seeing you do this and talking about it.
I'm 4 weeks in and just drained my apples out, now going to let it sit for at least 3 months. Thank you for encouraging me to make my own❤
I really appreciate how straightforward your videos are Stacy. You do a great job explaining things. I’ve been wanting to make apple cider vinegar for a while and a lot of articles complicate the process. I’m much more encouraged to try this now after I take my stepson and husband apple picking this weekend. Thank you!
I started my batch in April and just used my first shot today. I loosely followed the directions. It turned out great with a huge mother.
Thank you Stacy! I’m kind of intimidated by fermenting, but watching your videos is encouraging. I love how you explain things. I’m learning so much! ❤
My husband and I are trying this with two half gallons. Fingers crossed we will be successful.
Hey, thank you so much! Braggs apple cider vinegar lost a customer today! I use apple cider vinegar for toner after I shave my face.😉
Just strained my apples and added 2 shots of Braggs ACV to the strained juice. Now waiting 3 months and I am looking forward to trying it in early 2024! Thank you so much!
Are there sugar/sweetener alternatives to what was used in the video?
Good question. Thank you
I would think we should avoid raw honey as it has naturally antibiotic properties, that's a great question!
I started 2 one gallon jars a week ago, so far going good. Just watched your older video on making this and it's a bit different. Doug was hilarious!
I made Cider vinegar inspired by you but I only used the cores and skins with a cup of vinegar mother in a 1/2 gallon jar with filtered water. I forgot to add sugar and I actually forgot the entire batch for 9 months with no stirring and it still worked. Crazy.
did this recipe and it turned out great , it's 5 months in , very sour and strong flavor, this one is a keeper.
Your channel is a blessing to us all
This is one of the best explained video’s on how to make apple cider vinegar.
just reviewed this video... so glad it's here! I made 3 1/2 gallons and 3 quarts of pear cider vinegar. Now on to the next task! Thanks so much Stacy!
Making it again today October 16th, 2024! Thanks for showing how it's done Stacy!
✝️Thank you Stacy, woo-hoo, i made my first batch in the late summer of 23 and now again here in the yr. Of 24. This time i took notes for future apple cider concoctions. God bless you and yours! 🙏🤗
This is my 2nd year making homemade apple cider vinegar!!!
Thank you so much,
Brenda

This quality of this video is much better than your 1st one making the apple cider vinegar. But I do appreciate the 1st one as it shows how far youguys have come over the years. 🍎🍏🍎🍏
Just letting you know, I’m about to start my apple cider vinegar challenge today!!! what!what!!!🙌🙌🙌💚💚💚
You got this!
I have apple cider. Then with the left over pulp I cooked it down into a sauce added cinnamon and sugar and made leather for my kids. I plan to make apple brandy and apple cider as well as apple chips. I am totally loving apple season.
Thank you for teaching folks to make this valuable medicine and delicious food.
TU Stacy!!
I put ACV on my sunburns! And the rest of my family members! Thank you Stacy!❤
Just got my first batch bottled for the last pet of ferment. Will let it go for 4 months. Started my second batch today to go for 4 weeks. This is all new to me. My ghee came out beautiful following your method. Thanks so ,uch.
I got the apple cider going. I am excited to see how it turns out.
Well, just canned 40 jars of apple sauce last night and now today is my second time making ACV. Got 2 gal. from the first batch. This batch is going to be from my apple tree not store bought apples, so it will be much better! Can't wait to see how much I get this time!
Stacy I'm happy to say that I've made 2 1/2 gallons of apple cider vinegar (for the 1st time) . It's now in the 3 to 4 month waiting stage. This was easy and fun. Thank you for sharing how to do it. Missouri Wrightchk
I am 13 days in....I just made a small Jar to experiment. It has worked so will now get some gallon jars. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
I’m making ACV today for the first time. My first applesauce turned out wonderful.
My wife and mother followed this with great success. Thanks for sharing!
I have started my apple cider vinegar, apple brandy, honey fermented garlic, honey fermented cranberries, and fermented applesauce!
Just strained off my apples.
my vinegar is looking so good❤️ just another 4 months to wait ⏰
Making mine now. 3 weeks in😅. I also used your fermented garlic honey recipe to make gifts for my family. Thank you for all.
My wife and I have made ACV out of scrap and it has turned out great. My wife has also made kumbucha vinegar which we both love.
I have finally made a batch that didn't have black mold on top. Thank you for encouraging me to keep trying
Just made first batch ever of apple cider vinegar and then made fire water! Thank you so much!!!!
I just made 2 1/2 gallons of apple cider vinegar. Thank you for all the knowledge, hints & tips you share!
I just started two gallons of apple cider vinegar. Thank you for the easy process.
Update. My jars both have a white scum on the top. Has this all gone bad or can that we be strained through cheesecloth or something?
*I've been trying to include apple cider vinegar into my routine for ages, but the taste just made it so hard. Goli ACV Gummies really were a game changer for me* 🍎
