I really liked Triple Mash. Banana bread all day long, just cracked my second bottle even. I wonder if there's some batch drift because I can't follow any of your nose or flavor notes, and that's not usually the case.
Fun to watch! Thanks for the laughs! I found this at the local liquor store for 99.00 bucks bought it at the grocery store for 28.00 bucks sampled it on three different occasions and just can’t like it, gave it to my son for a guest mixer!
Very funny and like your opinion. Good show. The key to the Triple is that it is not regular bourbon, not rye, and not Scotch. I drink this when looking for a change in flavor profile. I do the same thing with Chattanooga 111 or Bernheim Original. Not bourbon or rye or Scotch. It is for when you want a new tasting experience.
This was epic. Jules flip flop will go down in history. Haven’t laughed this hard in a while. You can also pin point the exact moment Delightful Dillon gets a Delightful Cramp. And I agree, Triple Mash was a big swing and a miss. Cheers.

He gets paid to like a lot of stuff. I stopped taking that guy seriously when Minnick crammed Terry Bradshaw bourbon down our throats saying it was better than the garbage can it came out of.

Great video as always CPU! After watching this, it got me to thinking. If we we to score something a 10 on flavor and everything else a 5 (with the exception of aesthetics and value) then that bottle would be considered average. Even scoring this a 12 for flavor means it’s above average, no?
Yeah - we tend to think of the middle score (a 5 out of 10) as more of baseline. Not necessarily average - because most products on the market are out there because they at least meet that baseline.
@@CuriosityPublic That's the way I've been looking at it. That 5 out of 10 is the minimum that you expect to get for that kind of spirit. So anything below that means it's actually missing on a key characteristic, or all of them in this case. 😉
The beauty of the human palate… every one is different. Disagree on the rating of this with y’all. I enjoy it, not as much as the BiB, but it’s good. Not shocking that Djylon rated it as low as he did.. 😜
Pretty much exactly what I expected…who do you think this offering is actually for? Were Jack Daniels drinkers clamoring for something like this? My guess is that JD was trying to do a malt whiskey but it turned out underwhelming, so they’re trying to package it with other whisky in order to make it palatable.
I enjoy this bottle, but mainly because it's different. I think it's a bit fruity, but a little too grain forward. I like it better than the JD BIB. I rated it a 6/10.

I wasn't going to buy this and now I'm really not buying it. There is no way in HELL JD should be putting ANYTHING in 700 ml bottles. Only pretentious European bottlings get a pass on that.
This one doesn't fit neatly into any normal box, I can see why it's so polarizing. My experience has been that people with more adventurous palates tend to like it and people whose idea of "variety" is a flight of BT, Wild Turkey, and Knob Creek just don't get it. I expected better from you three, somehow, given your experience. 🤷
For all those times that Jules refused to adjust his score and got ripped for it, he saved it all up for this bottle and changed everything!

Definitely a drinkable whisky. I just wish it had some viscosity to it, it finishes like water.

I felt cheated by a bottle at 700 ml instead of the standard 750 ml. Turned me off to the whole Jack Daniels experience.
Thats gonna be the new normal man. A lot of the scotch and irish coming to the us has already changed over to 700.
Better get used to it, everything's gonna be 700ml before too long.
