How Max Steel was received changes depending on which areas you're talking about. In Latin American countries, Max Steel joined the ranks of Dragon Ball Z and Knights of the Zodiac/Saint Seiya as part of the contemporary canon of uber-popular action-oriented shows loved by various male demographics there. Those countries absolutely remember Max Steel, I'm sure of it. Indeed, the 2012 Max Steel canon lasting as long as it did is thanks solely to the popularity in said Latin American countries. It's not a coincidence that the Team Turbo series retool featured two new characters who became fellow superheroes alongside Max and who were both ethnically Spanish speakers (Berto's hitherto unmentioned younger sister, Rayne aka Tempestra, and Max's soccer-rival-turned-super-empowered-partner, Alejandro/Alex aka La Fiera). They purposefully chose to introduce those two characters rather than do what's typically done with these sorts of retools by elevating the existing kid supporting cast into heroes, like Static Shock did with turning Richie into Gear in Season 3 (which for Max Steel would have been Kirby, Syndey, and Butch, all of whom vanished after the post Season 2 movies, with the boys not even appearing in those).
Glad to have someone covering max steel, it has lots of interesting stuff in it whaterever it's reboot or the og or the movi or the direction the reboot ended.

I feel old, cause I rememeber the first max steel. But to sum up the original show, max is basically an extreme athelete who gets into an accident, so his father who was working on a top secret goverment project decises to save his sons life he would use this project to revive him, and it works but he also has to do super spy stuff for the goverment but he gets super abilities (similar to some of the abilities found in the newer show) such as super speed, super strenght, and even straight invisibility. he gets a tech wiz as well, (Berto is also his name I believe) and the terminator is probably was the best villian for him but they killed him off eventually. when you watch both series down the line, you start seeing the similarities more clearly like the elementals I am pretty sure was a late thing for the old series, the animation was not the best but it was one of the more interesting ones in my opinion

That movie was actuallly decent i watched it cause it was a maxsteel movie and i didn't regret it it wasn't all that but it was still a nice movie to me
I think the movie failed because it was trying to focus more on building a franchise than a good solo movie. I still think if they used the first 3 episodes as a blueprint. It would've been one of the greatest superhero movie of all time.
I really enjoyed this series and what I like about the show. The most is the designs of the characters like they have so much details but also I felt like the show did its job to prioritize the story sure you get action, sequences and cool designs but you know that doesn’t mean anything if your story does not hold up. Irs not just 2 seasons. I watched up until the bad animation update in season 4 called fusion tek and even the green turbo energy season where he got seperated from steel. Its was bad that they went that route. Season 4 had a good vibe despite the bad animation update.

i only know max steel because i watched the movie. im from SEA and the movie is honestly good, didnt know there was a cartoon show of it. i dont think theres gonna be a sequel tho.

No one went to watch the movie because the movie was kinda trash, Why do all the ultralinks look the same! Their supposed to have varied designs! And the plot makes no sense. In the show, Miles Dread has an actual reason to want turbo energy. He needs it to survive! In the movie, he's just powerhungry. Then, they took merged the two corporations into a single corporation, and abandoning steel made no sense he just helped Max kill what Max has just found out is one of Steels own kind, and you abandoned him because he didn't want to be associated with the things they'd done. At least they solved that one in the only way that makes sense, one single sentence, while they are both being taken advantage of by a common enemy. As you said the show was just better.
I remember watching a ton of this show when I was younger, then at some point….I just stopped; I don’t remember why I stopped watching, maybe the tone Changed, maybe I just naturally lost interest, either way I just stopped watching at some point. All I remember was it was around when Max somehow figured out a way to share his powers with other people, and after that point the status quo changed to be more about a big team of super heroes, rather than primarily just Max and Steel.
I was so Mad how badly they botched the toys... Cause I truly did want to invest into it But the Cardinal Sins of toys struck hard... Next to No articulation, underpainted, riddled with terrible and cheap gimmicks, and underrepresentation of his many beloved forms...

The og max steel had everyone crazy back in the day. I have a bunch of toys of him. This max steel wasn't really enjoyable compared to the old one.
