    I definitely have to check a couple of these out. I also recommend a book called And Justice For Art, it talks about tons of heavy metal artworks and the story behind them.

    'My Bloody Roots from Sepultura to Soulfly and Beyond' The Autobiography Max Cavalera with Joel Mclver, is a must have book for all Heavy Metal fans to own and read.

    One little known book is "Letters From The Dead: In Memory Of Pelle Dead Ohlin". It's a very short book (less than 20 pages) but it's a collection of letters that Dead sent to a penpal/business associate during his time in Mayhem. It's a rare glimpse into Dead's personality and interests. He talks a bit about his knowledge of "the afterlife" as well. I think the most surprising thing I learned was that Dead actually hated Bathory calling Quorthon a pussy. Also learned that they wanted to record De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas in some chapel I forget the name of.

    • @hannahwidz3128
      @hannahwidz3128 4 года назад

      Yes! I learned so much about dead and he's like my favourite person in metal. Love him (and yeah he called quorthon 'daddy's boy' lmao)

    • @hannahwidz3128
      @hannahwidz3128 4 года назад

      +Dead didn't hate bathory(it was one of his fav bands) but he did hate quorthon in person!

    I'd say 90% of the flyers in the CHOOSING DEATH book are from my personal collection. Rich Hoak (Brutal Truth drummer) called me one day to tell me about his friend that was making a book on the history of grind core and death metal. He knew I had a massive flyer collection so he passed my phone number to Albert. He called a few days later and asked to buy some flyers off me. I sent him at least 200 flyers (at no charge, of course) and was surprised how many made it into the book. I knew there was a reason to keep those old sheets of paper for all of those years!

    Same thing I got educated by 665 days forever metal written by a Greek metal writer. It talks about history of metal and various relevant topics each chapters which takes you to metal adventure. If you know Greek you will gonna love it. It only released in Greece unfortunately . Also it explains why metal is not satanic, why got banned in disco clubs, girls and children on metal, unbound and anything you can imagine.

    Yay, more books I can add to my Christmas wishlist. I'm looking mostly at Choosing Death, SDM, Metalion and the Norwegian Black Metal one.
    Also, is it possible to find any books of power, prog or thrash metal bands, those are my favorite metal genres. In terms of the former two, not books that their stories are based off of like Lord of the Rings for example.

      Hattori Hanzo:
      "According to American & British dictionaries "keltic" is preferred but "seltic" is fine. As for the band Celtic Frost they maintain it was intended as "keltic" but they, themselves, also say "seltic" and use both."
