Fascinated by the way you sneak up on the marks, saw cut well away from the line then carefully chisel up to the finish line. Very important, I see now. Thank you.
Thank you H Carpenter....you show what can be done without all the fancy, new fangled gear that's sold to the population. In your hands , simple tools become wonderful things to make the imaginings of your mind come true... I learn every time I watch you ..
such a fantastic joint it is amazing to see it done. Question how do you have you chisels sharpened since your chisels are shaped differently to the european style is it flat honed on a stone or just interested to learn what you do for them?
Awesome nice carpentry working design that I haven't came a cross keep it up this is now the real carpentry working should be done your skills are to the next level iam impressed, not just impressed i will learn it thanks alot
David, I am 63, just diagnosed with head/neck cancer and about to go thru treatments, and I have decided this will be my stress relief work. I can’t do this stuff either, but I need a challenge to take my mind off my health issues. You practice the skills and you be That person to pass it on to someone else. You can do it, it’s wood and metal. If we mess up, try it again on the other end.
Hi, this is just an example of joint right? It's not real project, but when you do real project like this, do you glue it afterwards? Also what is the wood you are working with here?
Simply amazing. You make that look so easy. I can't even imagine the time it takes to learn how to do something as complicated as that joint. Just WOW !
Fantastic workmanship! What isnthe name of this joint please and where might I find drawn details of how to create it. Also, what is the species of wood used. Thanks in advance!
…I never saw a combination square on that bench, BRAVO! Incredible skills accumulated through so many years of building and practice. I just have a question…the tools don’t look like Japanese chisels neither the saw (doesn’t look like a Dozuki, Ryoba or Katana)…the wood used does not look like Hinoki or Keyaki, but more like Mango wood…
You are very talented I just had to subscribe to your channel so I could see more. Could you tell me what is the angle of the bevel on your chisel that you use to shave the sides of the dovetail ?

Looks like the beginning of a table or bed frame. Solid as a rock and elegant as fine China. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
但是現在中國基本上已經沒人傳承了,會這項技藝的人越來越少,畢竟這項技藝需要的時間和精力去學習無法量產。
@@昊天陳-l9o sorry to break it to you but he is not talking about China, the country you are from.
