I'm convinced that diet coke is one of the most addictive substances on earth. I gave it up when I was pregnant and I craved it all the time.

This sketch came at the end of the night but was, to me, the funniest of the night. Funny because it’s TRUE.
I suspect this was at the end because the production and approval might have been up to the last minute. Usually the well produced ads are up front and sketches like the kooky lounge trio are last half hour.

OMG hilarious! As a former "addicted" Diet Coke drinker this resonated in the depths of my pores, lol. I would drink at least 4-5 Diet Cokes a day. My doctor suggested giving them up due to the connection between diabetes and diet drinks. It was tough to quit but I'm now 2 years clean! With normal glucose levels! Love the SNL commercial parodies.

I was about 70 lbs overweight, had hypertension, in danger of developing pre-diabetes and had high triglycerides. I was formerly addicted to regular soda, and switching to diet sodas was what helped the most for me to lose those 70 lbs and I've kept it off for over 4 years now. That said I have replaced a lot of my diet coke consumption with sparkling water which helps but I still absolutely crave it physically lol

Okay now see, this is the quality content that is like old SNL. I've noticed it more and more the past year or so. Maybe they got new writers, fresh blood? Weekend Update knocked it out of the park also, which it usually does anyway.
They got new writers in season 48, but the writers coming back in season 49 didn't change. I'm guessing time off because of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes gave them time off to improve their writing.
But when I sincerely stated in college that girls seem to love diet coke, everyone got super mad at me. Now I just have to track down each person who was at my birthday party 15 years ago and show them this.
