Ignore the FAA rule - they ignored us.
Remote ID doesn't prevent bad actors. Remote ID is the wrong solution for a problem that doesn't exist in the model RC and Quad copter communities. This is a tracking device fitted to innocent responsible hobbyists who already have the best safety record in aviation for as long as aviation, no before aviation was a thing. Thanks for the Video.
Spent years on a 1/6 scale AS315 Lama helicopter. I converted it from gas to electric with the clutch for that realistic start up. 😃 So nice to know that my $4500 RC helicopter is soon going to be a nice wall decoration. Thanks FAA. Ironically I’m an air ambulance pilot who has never encountered a drone on my many flights. Go figure ☹️

As a camera drone owner I’m not happy to see this thought in many videos that we are the problem. There exist technology to track and disable commercial drones on a county sized level. If you want to enforce a TFR at a football game or large airport the 30k or so investment for this technology is a rationale choice. Pilot institute has a video demonstrating this.
