F 9%! grailed should charge the same amount for every sale made on grailed. ..lets say ten dollars (would be fair)… so the buyer already knows that extra ten is going to grailed … would be a much better shopping experience for seller and buyer especially since the fees for seller are not always easy/ same to calculate. charging 9% wit the excuse for improvements which i dont see are an insult for all grailed users. imagine if a seller only has items worth over a thousand dollars, after ten sales he wouldve given way more money to grailed than the seller who sold ten items for ten dollars. we are all using the same platform but have to pay way different prices for it, yall think about that!
I bought a supreme by any means backpack seller had 300+ ratings and 5.0/5.0 also tagged photos as well he shipped the next day too this video really helped me thanks
im mad that they charge the 9%fee from the total amount item+shipping price and not only for the item sold, thats actually foul asl. its already absurd that grailed charges in percent and not just a flat. we are all using the same platform but some seller gave way more money to grailed in 10 sales than some others, it just doesnt make any sense! i will keep on copy pasting what i just wrote like everywhere i can 😖
is this true? won my first drawing giveaway and provided pictures of my shoes, drawing confirmation, and order confirmation but don't wanna lose out on the money through chargeback AND lose out on shoes or they send me back fakes..
This is totally true, I made the mistake of letting an international buyer pick which shipping method he wanted to pay for and ended up going with USPS first class which seems like it has tracking but really it only tracks the package until it reaches the destination country. So what the buyer did was file a claim that they never received the item and I was unable to meet PayPal's requirement of providing a tracking number that showed the package was delivered to the buyer's address. To this day, that tracking number says that it is on it's way to the destination after being processed through Chile customs.
u just have to try harder. Mention you're a new seller in description. Tell them why you are selling. Put tags in your photos like your User ID so ppl know its you. etc. Dunno why you blaming him. Nobody wants to buy from someone new
Always try to look at what the backgrounds are for a user’s multiple items. Sometimes the backgrounds may vary, which is suspicious... one may be a black bedsheet, and another may be a white counter... it really bothers me when I see something I like from a user.
bought a vetements shoe for 571 and a cavempt hoodie for 125. both from > 4/5 sellers with lots of feedback. first one was a fake item and the 2nd was a straight scam. oh boy. gonna be an interesting long ride with paypal service.
+edveda2 Well damn :( I’m sorry. Sometimes people are shit heads. I’m sure paypal will side with you and money should be back in your account. I think grailed should really do something about all the scammers
Interesting that you should state this. I get weird, I mean "weird" messages in my inbox about the items I'm selling. Questions like - " are you shipping" - and I'm like WTF does that mean? How can I answer that? And then someone said "I'm buying this today" and I waited and waited and waited and he didn't buy it.
Same here. Last sale i had paypal accepted the declined the payment of the customer.. On the stuff you are talking about its more than likely someone overseas trying to scam you somehow. I also got a few people from Canada that tried to get me to ship to a different name.., i deleted the app im done. At least Ebay you have a slightly better customer service.
This dude bought my bape hoodie and messaged me an hour later that "its fake" and he wants a refund, so he filed a paypal case immediately that he "didnt receive his item," but he still kept asking me to send the hoodie. The money isn't even in my account anymore and says "held." Can someone please let me know what I should do?? Thanks
Thank you so much bro I really appreciate your help you mad cool and funny at 5:50 you had me dying laughing i was not ready 😫🤣😂💀 i fuck with you for that one lol and you got yourself a new subscriber lol
As a new seller, having no previous history has made people doubtful of buying from me...I'm not even selling high-end items, it's just hard to start off from scratch. Great tips, though.
Going to be making an updated version of this within the next two weeks :) It'll be split into two parts, those for buyers and those for sellers! This was also made in 2017 so 2 years has changed the market a lot.
I'm on grailed and I thought they monitored the listing and verified it before they let you list it. If not, they should! But grailed has a lot of high-end "street" and modern clothing, which I think is a scam in itself. Who pays $300 for a T-shirt???? Who pays $2000 for athletic shoes????
So essentially they make sure you listed the listing correctly, They don't have enough manpower to monitor every single listing to confirm legitimacy. They're basically making sure you aren't listing a vintage tee under some other brand , such as YSL.
If you get scammed and get chargeback/refund from PayPal, do they take the money from the scammer/cancel the transaction and give that back to you or does PayPal just give you money?
Well what about someone whose genuine and is actually making a new account are they automatically scammers because they have no reviews? That made no sense
+Steven Parle But thats the thing, Most scammers sell big ticket items with 0 feed back. Not that I’m saying that all people who have 0 feedback are scammers, but those whom are scammers tend to have under 5 confirmed transactions. I’m just trying to help people who may fall into these pitfalls.
I bought by accident a pair of RMC jeans. I didn't know what the brand was until I got them home and looked up on the internet. Anyway, I paid $3.50 for the jeans and found out the ones I had were fakes. Bad stitching, made in the Phillipines. No red tag. I guess I can't sell them on grailed; right? Even if I ID them as "not authentic"; right?
nah you can't sell them on grailed. I believe on their TOS it states that you can't sell inauthentic products even if you list it as so. I'd try ebay or just wear them.
I’m new to grailed and I got my first purchase I sent it out with the tracking info. My PayPal payment is on hold should I wait till she gets her package? I heard it’s more likely to get scammed by buyers cuz grailed sides with buyers not sellers
So I want to buy a pair of yeezys, but the seller didn't take any pics of the bottom of the shoes and he has no reviews, but the yeezys are verified sooo idk what to do
What happens when you buy something? Does it just take your money or does the other person have to accept it before it goes through? Also when you sell something does it automatically say that it sold or does the seller have to manually change it to sold? Great video and great tips 😃😃
I just started to resell on Grailed, I bought the Crash Tee from the first drop of Supremes FW/17 and I just got the shirt today hopefully the guy I sold it to doesn't give me a bad review. I've been communicating with him throughout the process though so hopefully I get a good review. Any advice????????
I would just say treat him how you'd want to be treated. The only times I ever gave a bad review is if the item is damaged, never arrived, or the seller didnt communicate at all :)
Fashion Forward Always I sent the shirt this morning, I watched this video earlier about this guy sending a watch and then the buyer tried to scam him for like $2500 saying he didn't get the watch but he did, hopefully this doesn't happen to me even though it's just a shirt but I still wouldn't want my first sale to be a shitty one
Why do some people ask for my PP email? Isnt it included when they checkout??? I shouldn't have to send it right lol; I did once and I got a warning by grailed for off-site transactions
@@FashionForwardAlways someone tried to do this to me yesterday asking for it I was like why do you need it Grailed has my info. he proceeded to block me on IG and grailed lol
scared asf because I got a pair of raf stan smiths for 85 shipped and he listed it at 125 with 15 dollar shipping and said to answer quickly after he countered my first offer due to him having another and after purchasing I wanted to ask another question and he hasn’t answered in quite a few hours
the guy i’m trying to buy from has a 5/5, over 700 sales, and over 300 reviews... but there’s like 3 people that said they got fakes or didn’t get anything at all
How about as a seller? I just listed my first item and got offers from buyers with no feedback? Is it the same as eBay where people with no feedback will scam you?
I try to scope it out for users with 0 feedback. I talk to them and make sure that they are real individuals. I also ship with signature + confirmation for those orders.
So I bought a hoodie almost 3 weeks ago but i made sure the guy had good reviews and he does but once I bought the hoodie he hasn’t contacted me at all or sent any tracking info
Sold some C2H4 x Kappa joggers that I listed as being in perfect condition but upon packing noticed there's a small hole next to the pocket. Should I ask the buyer if he still want them or cancel the sale and relist new photos/description? Don't want him filing a claim saying they're not as described or something...
Trying to buy a pair of JE denim and the seller sent me an offer of what I was going to offer. Thing is that he only has 1 sell/bought with no ratings. He has several items for sale but none of them are hyped items. I doubt he's selling fake pair of JE denim especially since it's new and has the tags attached. I just don't know if he's gonna be able to finesse me. Should I go for it or not take the risk?
Would you recommend me to buy a belt on Grailed ? It’s my first time buying something online period I’m 17 just got into buying online & I see something I want but I don’t wanna buy it and I never get it 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
so someone did a trade with me, and i dont have my item i traded for yet, and the other dude got the stuff i sent him, but i asked for a vid of him shipping it out at the post office. is there anything i can do get my stuff back or get some money back or am i just gonna have to take an L?
What about selling your own clothes? I'm selling a Supreme X Larry Clark hoodie, and its my first sell; how often can you get scammed by selling on Grailed? I have a good offer but am a little skeptical.
For the buyer, I always suggest doing "signature confirmation" whenever you ship. It's just ~$3 more and it'll guarantee that they won't have any funny business.
Yeah it's a bit of a double-edged sword. This is an outdated guide and I think it's hard to really gauge how trustworthy someone is outside of the rating system.
So I’m selling a pair of zebras on grailed for 300. Got an offer of 290 but he only has 1 transaction done. Isn’t it possible for him to act like he didn’t receive the zebras?
I already joined grailed, like months ago but I still don't have transactions because I don't sell anything yet but now I'm planning to sell my items. What can you advice to me?
Thank you for this video, was about to cop some off-white but the guy has sold the exact same tee 3 times. Even though people have sold like 60 times doesnt mean they wont scam!
+Matias Koskimies it could be that the guy bought the item in bulk. A lot of sellers actually buy a lot of items on sale then resell them at an inflated price (ie buying some shirts from SSENSE on sale then reselling to make a decent profit.) So the person could still be legitimate!
I just listed two ultra rare Bieber Drew house and stadium tour items on Grailed- first time seller. If I’d seen this video first I’d changed some things, actually gonna do that now. But now I’m thinking I should take them down and just go through eBay because I have a stellar rating there. But I guess I’ll try Grailed and see what happens
So what if you are a new seller with ratings and no sales just yet and no reviews,,, NEW SELLER,,,,,in you words that's a scammer,,, Glad everyone don't think like you,, I started on another platform with 0 and in 2 years I have over 1000 feedbacks and no negatives, I'm not a big seller by no means don't sell name brand clothes or electronics, so glad someone took a chance and purchase with 0 reviews 0 sells ......So how do you start selling if you are new?
Yo I just started selling on grailed and why does everyone take it to instagram? I had one sale that went smooth and we did through instagram which I don't understand why
most likely due to the seller fees on grailed. grailed adds ontop of the 2.9% paypal fee, a 6% commission fee for using grailed. Most sellers are looking to save 6% on their sale.
It's Corona time but the necklace that I bought hasn't arrived 3 weeks after it is planned to arrive. This is a USPS problem I think. What should I do?
Have bought a chanel tracktop, but found out it was inauthentic. Its at the moment in transit, and i've asked seller for a refund, but he said it was my own responsebillity even though i asked him and he told me it was authentic.... Anyone got any experience with this? And maybe knows how to properly open up a case
if the description and his messages stated it was authentic then you still are on grounds of opening a case. Open the case once the item reaches your location, take screenshots on the conversation and upload them to your case through paypal. It is honestly quick if you do it over the phone and deal with it in poss under 3-4 days.
im mad that they charge the 9%fee from the total amount item+shipping price and not only for the item sold, thats actually foul asl. its already absurd that grailed charges in percent and not just a flat. we are all using the same platform but some seller gave way more money to grailed in 10 sales than some others, it just doesnt make any sense! i will keep on copy pasting what i just wrote like everywhere i can 😖
The P means that it's a paypal confirmed account. It's a recent addition that usually means you're good to go. I say try and get those offwhite sneakers legit checked though just incase.
I’d say just be completely transparent with the buyer. If they ask for tagged images, provide them. Good photos also go a long well as well. Quick and easy replies also really do help instill confidence in the buyer.
Can boxes be fake? I am in the process of buying used yeezy’s from someone for $130. He has pictures of the box and everything but has 0 sales and 0 reviews, what should I do?
So there's a supreme x scarface friend tee in Heather grey. this dude has one review and it a 5/5 review and the pictures look pretty legit to me and with shipping it is 75$. I'm sorry for asking this because I know that's why you made this video to inform people on if the seller is legit but give me your opinion please. Great vid btw👍
If you are still here and read comments I had to order a pair of jordan 5s for pretty damn cheap like $90 for my cousins adress and i will pick them up in like 3-4 months. The guy didnt have tagged Photos but had 40 reviews all 5 star from different times and 11 different listings didnt find any of them anywhere else so no duplicates. Can you tell if this is legit or not.
I purchased smt on grailed that I paid for $115 but the seller told me to pay $150 so I said I don’t want it anymore then he told me that he will wait for the option to cancel the order. Help me out fam idk if it’s a scam
So I bought an item on grailed and the seller had actual pictures of it but the item turned out to be fake when I got it. Can I still get my money back?

You're more likely to get scammed on Grailed as a seller though, because Paypal usually take buyers' side.

so someone did a trade with me, and i dont have my item i traded for yet, and the other dude got the stuff i sent him, but i asked for a vid of him shipping it out at the post office. is there anything i can do get my stuff back or get some money back or am i just gonna have to take an L?
Owen McGuire never do trades on grailed you took a L
Ayy how do it work like the money you send has to be pending or it instantly goes into their account?
What about selling your own clothes? I'm selling a Supreme X Larry Clark hoodie, and its my first sell; how often can you get scammed by selling on Grailed? I have a good offer but am a little skeptical.
For the buyer, I always suggest doing "signature confirmation" whenever you ship. It's just ~$3 more and it'll guarantee that they won't have any funny business.
Thanks man! I appreciate it.
Fashion Forward Always how do you do that ?
So if your new to selling on Grailed how would you get sales if people won't buy from you because your new and have no sales from the PAST?
Yeah it's a bit of a double-edged sword. This is an outdated guide and I think it's hard to really gauge how trustworthy someone is outside of the rating system.
I am trying to trade with someone who has two listings and no feedback but has 5 transactions and also has bill and stock x tags should I go forward?
Bro you deserve so many more subs your content is great!
Thank you my dude
Can’t you get your money back if it’s fake shoes on never arrives to you tho?
When it says authenticated. Is that good and means not fake or should I not trust that
It's not 100% guaranteed. Grailed only looks at the photos, but I don't think they have a good verified way of saying something is guaranteed.
If someone has put a listing up twice and I buy it, will I be able to refund it if it isn't shipped?
+Mr.BloodEyes You’re able to get a refund if he has no intentions of shipping it to you.
I have a new video about the sellers perspective !
I bought this tee right, but it says : we are currently processing your payment for this order... Tf that's supposed to mean?
Thank you for this video, was about to cop some off-white but the guy has sold the exact same tee 3 times. Even though people have sold like 60 times doesnt mean they wont scam!
+Matias Koskimies it could be that the guy bought the item in bulk. A lot of sellers actually buy a lot of items on sale then resell them at an inflated price (ie buying some shirts from SSENSE on sale then reselling to make a decent profit.) So the person could still be legitimate!
So My guy has 5/5 and the pics looks authentic to me so am I good to go?
should be good, lets hope he doesnt turn into an ass
#PrayinForYou
Fashion Forward Always thanks bro
what about a Trusted Seller? some of these people deals seems to good to be true as well can i trust them?
I think a lot of those Grailed marks dont mean much nowadays. they need to revamp the whole system.
there’s this dude selling infrareds 11s for $75 he has rlly got rating and over 50+ 4 star rating should i buy them?
But doesn’t PayPal cover you up ???
they do! I have a new video that talks more in depth about it. It's more into the Grailed + paypal covers you.
I bought Meet The Guys denim pants ofd a dude with 4.5 rating and 24 reviews is it safe?
I just listed two ultra rare Bieber Drew house and stadium tour items on Grailed- first time seller. If I’d seen this video first I’d changed some things, actually gonna do that now.
But now I’m thinking I should take them down and just go through eBay because I have a stellar rating there. But I guess I’ll try Grailed and see what happens
check out the 2020 updated video for sellers! this vid is relatively old
I'm selling my dad his designer clothing. I don't the price of anything so I'm selling it for probably to cheap.
I'll comment the link 👇
if im from Canada will it automatically change the price to canadian dollars or is all prices on Us dollars?
paypal will do that for you!
So this video is outdated. I have already updated with a correction for the "new seller" issue.
This guy has a backpack I want and he only accepts pay pal is that good?
for grailed, they only accept paypal!
Do you have the tracking number? If so, check if it's stuck in progress or not. If it is, then hit up USPS
‼️‼️‼️‼️ This guy is selling a moncler for 650 he has 2 transactions but no reviews. Is it a scam ?? ‼️‼️‼️
prolly bro
The Burberry Man bro if they have no rating dont buy
†he KyotexGaming good looks bro I never bought the coat.
The Burberry Man np bro always look at the reviews even if they have a good rating 3.5 and above is usually safe
I like the video , keep it up
Thanks for the kind words!!! : , )
I know this comment is late but what if they got 5 transactions and 5 reviews and answers messages fairly quick
im mad that they charge the 9%fee from the total amount item+shipping price and not only for the item sold, thats actually foul asl.
its already absurd that grailed charges in percent and not just a flat. we are all using the same platform but some seller gave way more money to grailed in 10 sales than some others, it just doesnt make any sense!
i will keep on copy pasting what i just wrote like everywhere i can 😖
Grailed is pretty rough on the fees. I wish it was a tiered system.
Hi, could help me verify if the one I’m looking at is legit?
I found a pair of off white shoes on sale that I really like. His feedback is 5.0/5.0 and has a “p” in a blue circle. Does that mean he’s legit?
The P means that it's a paypal confirmed account.
It's a recent addition that usually means you're good to go.
I say try and get those offwhite sneakers legit checked though just incase.
How do you start reselling if you haven’t sold anything and people think you are gonna sell them a fake ass Gildan tee.
I would say be careful. Do you think the box is fake? I feel like that's a weird thing to fake
I guess, a box it weird to fake. he ended up selling them to someone else for $100 but you never know these days 🤷♂️
what if they try to pay via a check and say that you can send out the product once I revieve the money ?
i believe they don't do echecks anymore just letting you know.
Is 200$ too good to be true for the deep pile crewneck he has sold 35 items and 4.9 out of 5 feedback
not too sure, check out past listings to see if it's too good to be true.
Great vid btw👍
it all has to do with your own judgement.
If it looks good and everything I said it the video checks out then you should be good.
Fashion Forward Always thanks
If you are still here and read comments I had to order a pair of jordan 5s for pretty damn cheap like $90 for my cousins adress and i will pick them up in like 3-4 months. The guy didnt have tagged Photos but had 40 reviews all 5 star from different times and 11 different listings didnt find any of them anywhere else so no duplicates. Can you tell if this is legit or not.
I think it's to your discretion, you can try and do some legit checks for the jordan 5's.
You should be okay most of the time, but be vigilant.
Ok here is the link
www.grailed.com/listings/8253261
And im pretty new to buying hype clothes so thats why im asking
I purchased smt on grailed that I paid for $115 but the seller told me to pay $150 so I said I don’t want it anymore then he told me that he will wait for the option to cancel the order. Help me out fam idk if it’s a scam
he should already have the option to cancel . Contact paypal through email or phone.
I haven’t received any shipping details from my seller and he hasn’t replied, should I be worried?
depends on how long it has been. Also you should atleast send a quick message to the seller to see if the seller had sent it alreadys.
So I bought an item on grailed and the seller had actual pictures of it but the item turned out to be fake when I got it. Can I still get my money back?
it could be. you would need to point out the flaws and the reason why it is fake.
You know you can just cashback if it is fake :/
well usually chargebacks are saved for unauthorized transactions.
You like like this girl from the Chanel life where I’m from
are u replying to messages bc im not sure if im being scammed or not and wanna check w someone that would know before i try to get a refund
I’m sorry?
