You know Rod, the fishing you did in this video works just as well with fly fishing or casting twitch jigs on a small spinning rod. Try it, next time you are there.......
I ❤ bc fishing and scenery it has to offer. I am going to take my kids fishing in Saskatchewan Reindeer Lake, if you ever make that long trip out there, I highly recommend the lake.
Oh I am loving those Compres right now. The price is right, and I've been trying a few different models, the 10'6" BC mooching for saltwater salmon, and lately the 8'6" baitcasting rod has been awesome, looking forward to float fish with those in smaller river systems. So far we've been using them for jigging in saltwater.
Way to broaden the subject, Rod! I try to focus on fishing as much as you do, but getting there is also important. The Bz is a possibility but I can’t get past that instrument cluster obscuring the front visibility! I’ve ordered a RAV4 Prime (long wait for delivery, I know!) because it has good visibility. Ergonomics is everything for me. But we’ll all end up electrified, before long. BTW you’re gonna miss that Tacoma roof rack! Handy for fishing gear?
I still have the Tacoma and boat loader, and actually the current Tacoma is going back to the dealership when my 2024 model arrives next month. 😄 The bZ is basically a downsized version of RAV4, I was so surprised by the amount of interior space it has. Funny story about this vehicle, a friend of mine had been on the waiting list for almost three years for his bZ, and finally got it last August. Prior to that I had never heard of it, so it got be curious once he received his. I went into the dealership and asked how long the wait would be and they said they had one right now! The financing fell through for the other buyer, so next thing I knew we were doing a test drive, and a day later we committed to the purchase lol.
Looks like a great vehicle! I have had no luck finding a Toyota that fits me. I have not seen any of these on the lots though. Maybe it's a little bigger cockpit than other models?
Thanks! The public chargers vary quite a bit so you really have to pay attention to them. Some are slow, some are fast. I look for BC Hydro's DC fast chargers, which are quite amazing... Going from 30% to 80%, it's about an hour I think. We jus went into Superstore, did our shopping, ate a late lunch and it was done. Once the battery reaches 80%, it slows the charging down, so we did the rest of the slow charging at the lodge overnight.

Nice! A video that combines two of my interests 😂
How am I not surprised lol!

Linda Lee is adding a nice element to the videos lately!!!!!!
👏
Good job Rodney. I take my Nissan Leaf when fishing on Vedder. That makes fishing trips insanely cheap. 😊
Plus it doesn't have catalytic converter.
Yeah I don't know why we didn't commit to getting one earlier! The $ saving in the past six months is quite significant...
Nice relaxing video after a work day, thanks Rod! 👍 Is it a good idea to release invasive species like bass?
Thanks. For lakes like Osoyoos, where bass have been for over 100 years now, it doesn’t make a difference whether they are released or killed.
Hey rod any thoughts on the shimano compre? Im looking into the 9ft casting model to float for kings here in my local rivers in Washington. Thanks 🤘

Just shows some guys “have all the luck!” You always do when you are fishing.
the best thing about EV is that you feel less skunked after a skunked fishing trip because of the gas it saved…

The interior space of this vehicle is quite big, which is quite a treat after being in the Tacoma for so many years.
But where would you attach a boat loader? 😂
Sounds like a challenge! 🤣
It’ll stay on the Taco so it doesn’t feel left out. 😜
Nice to see this video, Rod. How long did the on the road charge at Port Alberni take?

I like your fishing videos, but I'm more of a gas truck
Don't worry, I haven't abandoned my Tacoma. 😄
