Hi rod I’m trying to make a fishing channel but my success on RUclips is not as great as my TikTok success I have 470 on TikTok but 36 on RUclips how did u reach success
Just post videos and constantly look for improvements. You make them, people will find them eventually. Don't do it for the numbers, do it because you love making videos.
@@FishingwithRod thank you very much I love to fish and create content and I have been seeing some results after this past week which has motivated me to post more thank you so much for the feedback love to see u on the river sometime
Nice👍
Thanks Ryan!
Nice fish and great video! Greetings from Vermont, and good luck!
Thanks!
Thank you @fishingwithrod for sharing such an amazing experience all around - fly fishing, spin casting, and the weather! Be safe.
Thanks Joe!
Nice
Thanks!
Hey rod you almost drop your camera there .thaks for the video definitely coming there this month
Always dropping camera when filming fishing. ;)
Wow rodney, you did it yet again buddy great video I'm still waiting to do a fly fishin trip for thos beautie trout!!
Thanks!
@8:19 I didnt realize Canada had submarine launched ballistic missles🤣
Hehe yep.
Nice jumpers!
Definitely! Love Pennask rainbows.
Nice! I'm still struggle to cast a fly line a specially with a big float indicator , but I'll learn , thanks for the video.
It just takes years of doing it. 🙂 Good fly lines also really help, and having your indicator close to the fly line instead of halfway down the leader etc helps a lot.
@@FishingwithRod Thanks a lot !
@@FishingwithRod Can you please , tell me which brand with numbers line I can buy , which easier to cast ? thanks.
Hey Albert, missed this message. For floating line, I like Scientific Angler Frequency. For sinking line, I use Scientific Angler Sonar Stillwater. The weight/size depends on what rod you have. I like 5wt setups.
Awesome little fishing trip 👍🏽
Wow those Trout love jumping for the camera!
those are some beautiful fish!
Thanks Eric! 🙂
Nice brookie! Enjoy the flavour. Spelled Canadian/Australian just for you.
Yesss! 🙂 Thanks Rafa!
Damn, love the way those Penask torpedo out of the water.
Yeah!
No wonder the fish are biting so well with that storm coming in 11:13
Whacko - what a happening day Rod! Interesting to see you switched from fly rod & centre pin reel to a spinning reel. Can’t wait till I get over there. Carol from Sydney, Australia
When you do hit lois lake in powell river 5 to 20 lbs rainbows
Rod, you need to get some waterproof gear! ;-) Man I am just chomping at the bit with every video now. What a life you have! Headed up to Tunkwa and Edith this weekend. Always my first two lakes to hit. Looks like no winter kill at Edith at least.
I am at Tunkwa right now, fishing has been quite challenging, mostly because the water clarity is poor due to runoffs. Today we managed to get a few 16" fish, and they were good looking. Edith sounded like it has been excellent this past week since ice off. I would give the smaller lakes near Tunkwa a try too as they have been doing well (Morgan, Six Mile and Logan).
@@FishingwithRod at Edith all day today, May 4 and it was slow. One fish only 18 inches
What roof rack system is that you used to get the boat off the truck? Pretty neat I haven’t seen anything like it.
Hey Rod! Liking the comment, doesn’t answer the question 🙋🏽♂️lol
Anthony, I am away filming with minimal service or wifi, sooner or later I always respond to comments when I am able to.
It is an electric boat loader, made in Kelowna BC. The website is www.loadmyboat.com. There are two different sizes depending on the size of the boat. My is a 14ft Jon boat and that's kind of the max size it can/should handle.
Hey… quite buggy your first fly… what were u using? 👀
That first fly is just a giant olive/brown wooly bugger which I've tied. It seems to work pretty well at all the lakes when there isn't a hatch going on.
Rod you have to learn to Get them on the reel right off save you losing em getting tangled up in the boat !! ( IMHO )
Slow down , enjoy the ride.
It really depends on the specimen. Those are stripped in because they are not that big. It’d be time consuming to keep pulling line off after each fight if I reel them all in. In the next episode, the fish are bigger, and some are reeled in.
Hi Rod , I was at Rolly Lake today first time in around 5 years , Before that the lake was packed with people fishing , From Shore and Boats , To my surprise on a nice spring day with Temperatures at 15 Celsius no one was there Fishing from Shore or boat , Posted on the signs was a fish with a Red circle and a line across the fish On two post to me that means no fishing , do you know if Rolly is closed for fishing ? The signage seems to indicate that I could not find any workers From the camp ground , Any info would be great
Do you have a photo of it? If you do, can you send it to my Facebook or Instagram?
@@FishingwithRod home now in Surrey , I should have taken a picture, it is posted right beside the No motors allowed sign , And does not say anywhere specific it looks just like a overall no fishing sign , I arrived around 11,00 AM this was the first time I’ve never seen anyone fishing there as I sad before ,
Amazing Video Rod! Can't help myself but think of a couple things to point out in terms of RUclips and video structure: the camera on a phone could get some magical macro shots of the actual fly's you uses to catch the fish. At the end of the video I would make a pitch for your video that shows how to set-up your fly rod for lake fishing. I would bet the CTR on that end screen would be 20%. All that said absolutely beautiful video, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for all those suggestions, I really appreciate it! 🙂
@@FishingwithRod if you ever want to chat RUclips while fishing, I’m your guy!
Ive seen quite a few car toppers in my day, But the way you launched yours was really really cool!
(To be fair though, I see them only on or off the vehicals, rarely seen them taken off)
That ending was unexpected! And the only time I was allowed to full throttle at my last job, was lighting. TIME TO GO IN!
Yeah that boat loader has created so many solo lake fishing experiences which I otherwise would not be able to have. 🙂
Those are some acrobatic trout! How did the brook trout taste?
You’ll have to wait until the next episode to see. 😁
@@FishingwithRodI’m still waiting…………😝
@@ChipDarby13 It's coming! 😆
Hi Rod, who made the floors for your boat? I have the exact same G3…
I made those myself actually, quite an achievement since I am not a handyman. 😆
They’re plywood cut into the dimension needed. The back one just needs the edges cut to fit. The front needs a couple of 2x4s to level it when you put it in. Outdoor carpets glued and stapled.
Hey rod, what ultralight rod are you using in the video?
That’s a G.Loomis IMX ultralight spinning rod, rated 1-4lb, 5ft long.
Nice! Have fun in Kam! What you use with the spinning rod?😂
I was hanging a chironomid with a sliding weight a foot off the bottom, works all the time. 🙂
Looks like a productive day, what where you using on your spin cast may I ask ? Had myself a chuckle at the end when you showed the seven boats in a cluster lol I’m with you I tend to get off the water until the strikes pass ,have seen too many hit the water.
I had a sliding weight rig with a chironomid fly tied on a leader, just hanging a foot or so off the bottom. It works great in deep water (20ft+). Like this: ruclips.net/video/4Sxwxm6LhVo/видео.html
Moooo.
🐮
rod i gotta ask, watching a few of your videos i noticed you have a left hand retrieve on your trolling rod and a right hand retrieve on your stripping rod, is that just a prefrence or is there some science to that?
Well, it does seem like there's some kind of strategic secret but there actually isn't haha... I was just using whatever I have. I have some reels spooled for right hand while others for left hand. I can do both, and they're mostly to accommodate others who come in my boat and use these reels.
woo hoo
