In 2016, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), banned the trade of African Grey Parrots. African Grey Parrots are one of The most intelligent and most traded wildlife species in the world, that should receive the highest level of protection in Nigeria, as they are listed under the First Schedule of the Endangered Species Act.
