    out of all of the “grow thick locs” video yours is the most honest & realistic. I have low density, thin hair & still will combine it with avoiding tight retwist/styles. Hopefully it helps then not stay so thin

    I've combined my locs 2-3 times and now I am satisfied with the size.

    Also If you want to have thick locs.... freeform is the best way to go ...the hair will eventually separate then you can construct the hair if you want .

    That was definitely helpful.
    My issue is that my hair is thinning. I have 4C hair and I've had a medium sized afro for like 7 years, and NEVER did any style to it other than picking it out, patting it and go. I feel like the constant picking of my hair is what's causing the thinning. So my question for you or any with knowledge on the matter is... Would starting locs in this stage be beneficial, or should I work on getting my hair thicker before attempting to start my locs via two strand twist?
    Hope this question gets to you.

    • @kieshaarielle
      @kieshaarielle  4 года назад

      When you say picking, I am assuming that you're referring to using an Afro Pick comb to pick your hair right?
      Now, if you've only been picking your hair in this manner, then I don't see how that is causing it to thin as long as you aren't ripping your hair out.
      Now, thinning could be due to various causes such as: aggressively combing your hair, androgenic alopecia, poor diet, stress etc. Check out this video I did on the *Hair Follicle* and how it relates to hair growth, I also touch on sparse/thin hair: ruclips.net/video/f1XLZ5Bvqm4/видео.html
      Also to help you revitalise your hair follicles to grow your hair back you will want to visit my website: www.hairwegrow.store and see how my hair growth oil has helped people who have been suffering with Androgenic Alopecia and Hair Thinning.
      In regards to whether I think you should start your loc journey at this stage; honestly I would suggest to first tackle your hair thinning, because you don't want to start your locs and then have them become thin, weak and break off.
      I hope this comment was helpful

    • @adriansmith787
      @adriansmith787 4 года назад +1

      Yes, using an afro pick to pick out my hair.
      I can sayv that I may not have been the most gentle when picking my hair, but I wasn't being overly aggressive either.
      Since watching your video, I've oiled my scalp, been putting products in my hair to bring it back to life and I've noticed within 3 days that my hair have gotten softer, and when picking it, I'm making a conscious effort to take my time so that I'm not ripping any hairs out.
      I'm going to check out these links and continue to watch your videos because I see that your methods have been working.
      I originally wanted to start my loc journey 10/1/2020, but now I'm giving myself to my birthday (few days after Christmas) to start, it. And my locs and my actually birthday can coincide.
      But you've definitely been a help. You have a subscriber in me

      Yes, definitely keep your hair oiled and moisturized. Also, to help stimulate hair growth in the areas which have thinned out, is to gently massage the area for 5-10minutes daily or at least 4 times a week

    Sometimes to achieve thick locs you’ll have to crochet 2 to achieve that

      @kieshaarielle  3 года назад

      Can you explain how that is?

    • @jasont5009
      @jasont5009 3 года назад

      @@kieshaarielle your locs can’t get thick if it’s already locked.If it’s thick it’s thick if it’s thin it’s thin you can’t just beef it up now what you can do is leave it alone and wolf out and let the base get loose with new growth where you can no longer see your section boxes and just twist it from there leaving the rest of your locs for a few months and see how it goes from there

    • @kieshaarielle
      @kieshaarielle  3 года назад

      Nah, you can achieve thick locs if your hair is already locked. All you would have to do is combine your locs

    • @jasont5009
      @jasont5009 3 года назад +1

      @@kieshaarielle yes I know that part but most people just think they can just make their locs thick after it’s already locked already in that case if it’s skinny they’ll have it to combine it
