This was right on time for me because I was worried my locs weren’t going to thicken up. I obsessed over looking at others locs and compared mine. The number of locs, thickness, etc. this gives me hope😊
So I'm loc 3wks now and just got my 1st retwist yesterday. And omg. Y'all my locs were budding at 3 wks already and I had lots of new growth. I'm so in love. So they are fuller now they were skinny and worm looking I thought they were going to be skinny forever . I'm so proud of them now.
😂😂😂 omg this video made me feel so much better, I'm a week into my locs and I thought "why are mine so skinny " and yes I kept watching videos of everyone's locs like maybe I made a mistake lol thank you for this!!!!
Quisha Jernigan Lol yes and my hair is 1 year and 10 months now and they got TWICE that size!!!!!!! So don’t worry! I always say.. you can’t even JUDGE your hair until you’re atleast a YEAR in!
Yess! I really needed to see this! I started my locs September 29th. My locs look exactly like yours when you started and I begin to get frustrated thinking my locs was gonna be super skinny forever 😩. Last month I started to feel the budding and got really excited. I went today for my retwist appt. and I can tell my hair is getting thicker. 🥰
This video gave me so much relief! My locs are budding so much so that they seem to be unraveling almost, but now I know that’s how they’re supposed to look lol. Thanks for this vid!
I just got my second retwist and I was looking at how thin they are and I’m like.. damn I’m gonna have to cut them off! But then makes me happy. Thank you beautiful queen
Thank you thank you for this!!! I just started my loc journey less than a week ago and I was like whaaaaat?! I wanted them small/skinny, but NOT this skinny (like you said… “like worms”). But after watching your video I feel much better.
Whew I needed this encouragement, however I think I’m going to try the crochet method because my 2 strands just keep unraveling, I need my hair to nap up
Thank god for your video cuz I’ve been looking at my head thinking they were going to be thin forever 😭🙏🏽 I didn’t like the thought of 44 thin locs in my head
Thank you so much for your encouragement. I started the loc journey and its finally trying to bud. Its a ruff process because I feel like People think I dont fix my hair. I am glad I watched this video because I was going to give up. Awesome words of encouragement
You took words right outta my mouth, starting the journey my locks looked really thin and had no volume at all,but now they have puffed up,and i love it when there is alot of growth,it looks really dense!!I have had the roughest journey growing locks but now am starting to see results! Can't wait for it to get to shoulder length!!At nine months though my dreads are shorter than yours!!Slow growth i guess!!
This video helped sooooo much!!!! I just started my loc journey Sep.17,2019. I was so nervous and said the same things you were saying thought they were be skinny etc lol but I’m trusting the process and taking a lot of advice thank you so much !! Very gorgeous btw❤️

i started my dreadlock’s not too long ago n when tha lady started them ian have much gel but she made it work so some of them are how tha comb coil’s supposed to look but some look like they are puffier than tha rest of em but i’m still gonna keep em in be patient n see how they look at they grow more
I just got into my micro loc journey today and they look thin asf. Idk what I was expecting but definitely not this. This video just gave me hope coz I'm pretty sure I'd have taken my starter locs out after a few weeks
I'm 1 year and 10 months in my loc journey. I started with small two strand twists and I interlock my new growth every two months. I remember it was this lady that my mom use to go to that started my mom's locs with the interlocking method and it was this oil spray that my mom had got from this lady that smelt really good and I wanted to have my own of that oil spray without using my mom's and so one day when went to the place that my mom got her locs started so i can buy me the oil spray that i wanted for myself and then the lady that's the owner of the salon looked at my locs and she said..... "your locs are coming along well you should get your locs pruned with all the frizz one thing about doing your own hair is that you get frizz but it has more maturing to do but should definitely get it pruned" And I'm thinking wait a minute I hope when she says pruned she's not referring to get the frizz cut off from around my locs and coming to found out that's what pruning is but I found out wayy before that you shouldn't cut off the frizz before it cause thinning and your locs will weaken I'm glad before I even found that out I'm glad I never planned to cut off the frizz in the first place but I understand that locations have their own way of doing things but personally for me I don't agree with cutting the frizz off but people can do whatever they wanna do with their locs it's their hair. Oh and btw I started my locs on long hair and they no longer look like twists anymore they are really looking like locs and they look like they could be close to mature locs so maybe next year they might be mature but who knows and I have frizz but it's nothing compared to how it was in the beginning my locs were very very frizzy now it's really calmed down and has become less than it was but that's ok because the frizz will mush together
Girl I’m a hairstylist and I LOOOVE my wigs! But I recently twisted my hair to start locs and I was wondering how it might look if I still wear wigs lol so glad I found you! 💜💜 -2 weeks locd 😁
Glad I found this video. I been on this journey 3 months and I’m budding like crazy and I’m mad because I’m like why mine don’t look like hers or his lol 😆

yup thats how my dreads are right now..in those coils but my loctian has nice full locs and i told her i want my locs just like hers...so she gave me nice sized parts...and im noticing, actually today....after 1 month.. they are starting to bud... and im excited! they are getting fat in the middles n stuff. Today makes 1 month ! I had locs that were 5 years old a long time ago and i cut them but i had over 200+ of them, this time i think i only got like 60-70 and i love it! For some reasons I love this stage more than matured one.
Me too ☺️
Yes they look more full
Samee!! I'm sorry but mature locs don't look that good to me, they're just "long" but this stage is sooo cute!! :)

My locs look crazy I'm at 8 months. Can't even go to the salon. I'ma cry in the car
lol bruh!
Your hair is so beautiful and shiny. I love your tshirt. You are blessed!
It's OK to condition your hair, just don't use a thick one. You can spray on leave in conditioner. Dry hair will eventually thin out and break.
This video gave me hope! Month 2 into my loc journey😭
Why are you using spritz??? Make a flax seed gel it hold great.. and tbh the foam is enough!
Yea the spritz is going to make her dreads crunchy and flaky. The alcohol in the spritz is going make her scalp itch and turn white

Do you prefer the triangle parting method? Is it just for style (like the look) or does it make a difference in the way your hair falls
The locs look good👌👌
My locs are mature but they’re still pretty thin how can I thicken them any suggestions, I already retwist with holding spray and oils
Brandon Gosha don’t palm roll the whole loc, only the roots. And retwist every 3 months
