3 DOG NIGHT PLAYLIST: ruclips.net/p/PLe70UwDfhHBiAxzRgl9ISP6Y59lp5AsxD
Cory has an incredible voice...Blue Eyed Soul...
This was 1969 He also does a pretty good cover of Sam Cooke's A Change is Gonna Come
Old Fashioned Love Song.
Black And White.
They sound a lot like Blood Sweat and Tears band....or vehicle by the Ides of march.
"Try a Little Tenderness" is a song written by Jimmy Campbell, Reg Connelly, and Harry M. Woods. It was first recorded on December 8, 1932, by the Ray Noble Orchestra, with vocals by Val Rosing. Another version, also recorded in 1932, was made by Charlie Palloy & his Orchestra.
1969...when I graduated high school
Originally Otis Redding song😮
🤦🏽♂️ i got it backwards
@@FortWorthFabian Wow, I just looked and see that this song has some long history back to the Big Band Era...great music back then.
It was first recorded on December 8, 1932, by the Ray Noble Orchestra, with vocals by Val Rosing. Another version, also recorded in 1932, was made by Charlie Palloy & his Orchestra.[2] Ted Lewis (Columbia 2748 D) and Ruth Etting (Melotone 12625) had hits with it in 1933.[3] Bing Crosby also recorded it on January 9, 1933, for Brunswick Records.[4] A version by Bob and Alf Pearson was also released in 1933. The song appeared on Frank Sinatra's debut album, The Voice of Frank Sinatra, in 1946.[5]
Cory’s homage to Otis Redding’s version of the song
69 the best year ever!!! the full Suitable For Framing LP cam out early 69
Great group of my era. Thanks for playing this. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have loved this guy's delivery for years. 1970, I think. The whole album was excellent.
❤ RIP Cory🌹
I believe Otis Redding would be proud of this version ✌️
I think 3 dog night do the song better than Otis Redding👍
1968 or 69. It's one of their earliest songs.
Watch the same song "with the Tennessee symphony orchestra " Cory only got better with age. It's amazing!
Thank you for bringing great music from our era to light.
Wow he was so young there! Thx ❤
About 1968, my guess. This tune was covered by a lot of garage bands back then.
This song was written by Jimmy Campbell in 1932 made famous by Otis Redding in the 60s
You need to get with the program!
Still need to do Out In The Country, Black And White and Celebrate!!
Will do
Hey Fabian, Great playlist and reactions. Please add another one for me to the list: "Black and White". It's a favorite. I appreciate it.
will do
Great job on this 3 dog ! No its or butts
No one alive today can come close to Cory's Blue Eyed Soul. NO ONE.
3 Dog Night came out about '71 or '72. The main singer here is Cory Wells.
This was 1969
You be trippin' because this is an excellent take on Otis Redding's original. All of Three Dog Night's songs are covers. They always picked amazing songs to cover, and they always did them justice, or even better on some, depending on the listener's preference. ☮️
Three dog night/ change gonna come, Sam Cooke cover, they do it righteous!
Otis did respect and try a little tenderness
I may be mistaken, but I believe this came out 1970 or 71.

Another great version of this comes from The Commitments. You'll be blown away by lead vocalist 16 year old Andrew Strong.
You’re talking about Al Green ! Let’s stay together , listen to that song , if you want some real soul
The commitments, with lead singer Andrew Strong, do an excellent cover of this song.
Dude. You didn't deserve this song. You interrupted how many times to say it reminds you of 'Respect'? Do we watch your reactions to hear you talk about songs we're NOT listening to? Show some respect. This was classic in every sense of the word.
See your on drugs man Cory was special. You hip hop boys haven't a freaking clue. He had more soul than he could control... I was in Vie8tnam in 69/70 & listened to 69 album everyday I could. Great band & great singers. Thank God I grew up in the 50s & 60s and not the mindless rap & hip hop which is ......fill in the negative. No one alive can sing like Cory Wells.
1968 my friend
👍
You are thinking of Wilson Pickets version of the same song.
I remember first hearing the Otis Redding version of "Try a Little Tenderness" in the late '60s, maybe '66 or '67. And now I cheated to show the entire history of the song from its "birth" in 1932 to the more recent past (Jay-Z and Kanye West) by going to Wikipedia. It's a short & fast but interesting read.

Otis Redding was backed by Booker T. and the MGs...a great band from that era who released an acoustic version of "Groovin' " that is so well done, if you know the lyrics you can hear them in this acoustic version.

Late 60's
Stop with respect and understand
Too many pauses.
No disrespect but no respect. Discovered this on a juke at a bar in Mattituck on Long Island. Brought a friend in to check it out. He was only familiar with Redding's version which I had never heard. Redding's version was great but methinks not quite as exciting as Three Dog Night's. They were a great group!
68
I was waiting for you to say, how can a sound like this come out of a goofy-looking white guy.
1969
Late mid 60s
you talk too much!!! so very disrespectful to the artists
I'm at 3:17 got bored with your talking and read some comments. Can't believe you trashed Cory! I'm gone for good.
worse rweaction ever
