Congrats. Western "liberalism" is championing the religion of said article. And let's not delude ourselves with fake titles like "fundamental Islam". The only thing that makes ISIS stand out compared to the average Saudi or Egyptian is that said terrorists actually applied what the Quran preaches.
Its important to realize not all humans think the same way or want the same things. Some want to build, some want to destroy. Some want peace, some want war. Some want empires, some want a homeland. Islam is a political colonial theology that has the sole purpose of conquest and subjugation, whatever the cost, and they will not be swayed away from such goals. The very founding of Islam is based on political conquest and war.
With that said, it is western Liberalism that has let to many of these problems in the first place. It is the liberal mind that works under the assumption all humans think the same, that cultures are no better or worse than another, just different. It is the liberal mind that engages in moral relativism, and rebellion against the Creator. It is the liberal mind that rejects thousands of years of tradition and seeks to control human nature.
Only when we learn to respect our Creator, and all that is His, can we live in peace and prosperity.

ohh they did physical slavery as well and were only forced to stop by the British when they ended the trans saharan slave trade through loss of life and use of canon. Islamic slavery is commanded by their texts, and slavery of Africans by Islam started before, lasted longer, and was more brutal than colonial slavery.

@@Hodgepodge_Of_Interests I think youre trying to be sarcastic since you put arab in quotes. The trans saharan slave trade was an Arabic slave trade, they were the key players in this slave route which lasted from 7th until the 20th century. Now if you would like for me to go through more slave trades to prove they were arabic, how about the Ottoman slave trade which lasted from 13th to the early 20th century and only stopped after the ottomans fought on the bad guys side in WW1. Second, I never said it was an offshoot nor do i think it was an offshoot, they were a result of bad secular thinking throughout the enlightenment where the "enlighteners" like hume, tried to keep slavery alive through anthropological racial classifications. Christian enlightenment thinkers such as William Wilberforce on the other hand pushed for equality and the end of slavery which is what ultimately led to the end of slavery in the modern western world.
During the 1800's The Democrats in the United States of America also believed that slavery was for the good of the Africans, that it was "uplifting" them since they were inferior people.

Asking ANY lawyer to adjudicate war is one of the most ridiculously unintelligent things anyone could do.
Lawyers are restricted by mutually agreed values that are enshrined in law.
The people who enact such atrocities as 9/11 and 10/7 are not bound by such restrictions and necessarily place themselves OUTSIDE of the boundaries of ANY law other than the one THEY regard as binding and therefore cannot be reasoned with by those who voluntarily place themselves under such restrictions in order to live orderly lives in a society that is based on the foundations of laws that strive to be equitable.
This is the fundamental difference between the people who ascribe to Sharia law and those who ascribe to Western law.
The mindset of the protagonists is so fundamentally different that argument between the two sides is as fruitless as an Englishman arguing with a Chinaman, when neither of them even speaks, let alone UNDERSTANDS the others words.
For anyone to say (as David does in this clip) that people think the same way is as ludicrously foolish as arguing that every single human being holds the same values. I simply cannot believe that anyone over the age of six actually thinks this way and expects to be taken seriously.
All rational and compassionate human beings struggle to understand how people can brutally oppress others, but the fact is that they do. The only possible explanation is that they think TOTALLY differently to those who are puzzled by their actions. The cause of such violence has always been a massive disparity in the way people think about a particular subject. Basically, the ones who perpetuate violence against people who have done nothing to earn such actions do not regard their victims as being morally equivalent to themselves. They believe themselves superior to their victims and that is all the justification they need for their actions. It was ever thus.

If being against the intentional targetting of women, kids, doctors, aid workers, un workers food trucks, hospitals, schools, universtities, churches and peace keepers is anti semite then everyone should be proud to be one.

I wanted to know those criticisms. Kisin summarized them and responded clearly and fairly. I hope Dave has the intelligence and a big heart to understand and appreciate what Kisin said. He should also have learned to be humble and thoughtful before opening his mouth.
Over the course of my academic and professional career, I have found that often times drawing good conclusions (trying to avoid using the word "right") is a curve... the smarter you are the more likely it is you draw better conclusions from a given set of information, but somehow you reach a point where the curve turns into an inverse function and the quality of output actually goes down even if you feed more and more information into the "model". Now for anybody who is even remotely interested in statistics and things like Machine Learning, this concept might not sound too foreign... but it is werid to think how in reality you can have two people with a similar amount and often the very same set of information coming to two completely different conclusions.
And I believe the deciding factor predicting the outcome here is IDEOLOGY. If your entire world view is founded on a core set of beliefs (as is with every ideology), you might be able to process information up to a certain point and draw sensible conclusions from it... but you will reach a point where it intercepts with your ideological beliefs and this is where your beliefs take precedence over logic and your whole "model" malfunctions.
This is a long and convoluted way of saying: Just because you have the correct information, does not mean you will draw the correct conclusions.
This is painfully obvious with people on the political extremes, but even more so on the political Left, because a lot of their world view is not based on anything resembling objective reality. In fact, many on the Left even actively deny that there is such a thing is "truth", "facts", or "objectivity". Obviously those people will never be able to draw any sensible conclusions from any given set of data...
I agree with most of what you're saying, but I caution you that the far left is only more evident because they're currently in power. When Trump was in the White House, it was just as bad on the far right. Alternative facts, remember?
Which is what Konstantin said in the video but much more concisely!
You're talking about bias and yes, reducing it as much as possible is the foundation of reliable statistics- the backbone of science in fact. Interpretation requires awareness of this most basic fact; sadly very few are up to the task which is where the swamp begins.
I love this, all of it. But please think about who introduced Alternative facts as a thing@? Both sides are irrational and both should be called out, right?
You can simplify by observing that ideology is the thought and act in spite of evidence, not because of it.

True. Funny how the world works sometimes. Dave Smith can't help but give contrary views undeserved credit. After all, he's a libertarian who doesn't take into account new and objective information. In my opinion, he does this because he loves defending unpopular opinions. He strongly believes he's an intellectual and a great communicator who can make an argument for anything. But his motives seem quite transparent to me.
Realizing that nobody thinks the same is a very big step in maturing as a human
do you define "thinks the same" as agreeing to one point or a collection of different ones?
@@yanx4797
There are only two possible reasons to come to different conclusions based on the same set of data:
1) different priors
2) different priorities
The latter represents a different way of thinking. i.e. if you value non-aggression more than safety, you're going to vilify Israel no matter what. If you recognize that personal safety sometimes means hurting innocent people, you're going to give Israel a lot more leeway.
In terms of priors, a big one is whether you believe Israel has a "right" to exist. (Who grants states a right to exist is never articulated.) If you don't, then it doesn't matter what Palestinians do, you'll justify it as resistance to the "occupier". If you do, then again you give a lot more leeway to Israel defending its right to exist.
Realising that not all cultures are equal is another.
If we have standards, maybe we should think the same as ourselves and act on them. Western countries shouldn't be barbaric
5:40 THIS! People *_REALLY_* believe that Gazans are penniless and weaponless and completely INCAPABLE of anything.
