I can sincerely say that you only think you have thought your opinion through because you are cushioned from the reality and history of the pain of your land being taken away, your culture, your laws all being stripped away. Either that or your bank account must be fatter lately, I heard there is a big push to spread pro-Israeli propaganda lately. It is not made up fake news that the people who claim to be israelites were given other people's land then funded so hard that the disposessed can't match them for weaponry. We had that too. Whites came to our lands and pushed us off the good land. We lived like rats while you and yours lived well... funded by your kings and armed by your home governments. I would have given you the first bullet if you suggested I should just shut up and accept things as they were, from first principles 'context'. You were only on the fence because everything Israel says is a lie. Their official government and military moto is literally, "By way of deception we do war". This means they lie and cheat and steal. The whole Oct 7th thing was lied about. Their IDF shot their own people to keep Hamas from having any hostages to trade with. Because Israel has what they call the Hanable Directive, where the IDF will shoot their own people if necessary, which they did and then they blamed it on Hamas. Hamas only went across the boarder was to capture some hostages to trade with the Palestine hostages that Israel is starving and abusing. You're a fool pal.
The problem with point number 1 is that the same can be said for Muslims living in Israel. It was land that was taken during the Islamic conquests and forcefully evicted or killed (Assyrians are an example) the indigenous residents of whichever land said conquests occupied. It's almost as if people forgot that the Islamic caliphates are some of the biggest colonizers throughout history.
According to Muslims, it's not wrong that they've gone about colonizing large swaths of the world because their holy book demands it, it's only wrong it people take that land back.
That's the big problem with the "history didn't begin at 'x' date" argument. The pro-Palestinian people I know ALL make this argument, but the only dates they are interested in are the same. They either don't know or pretend not to know about the the League of Nations, the Roman Empire or the Jewish Kingdom(s) that occupied that same chunk of worthless land - not to mention the people who were there before all that. There is only one true law - what is yours is only yours as long as you can hold it.
I believe your example dates back millennia. The problem from my understanding is occupation under todays international law is a suppose to be temporary and as Israel's occupation has lasted over 57 years is considered illegal.
Same. As a Japanese, this was kinda my stand as well after October 7. I had a hard time explaining my position to other people, but I might just send this video instead.

So according to him, instead of learning from history and making improvements, we should just follow the mistakes of what our ancestors made and use precedence as justification for Israel's occupation?
In the words of Senior Hamas official, Mahmoud Al-Zahar: “The entire planet will be under our law, there will be no more Jews or Christian traitors.” It isn’t about land, it never was. This is a centuries old Jihad that extends beyond the Crusades and Israel is merely a speed bump along the way. They’ve forgotten the Armenian genocide and the Syrian death marches during WW-I as well as Black September which signaled the start of Jordan’s civil war where their own Palestinians, led by terrorist Yasser Arafat, attempted to eradicate the Jordanian monarchy in 1970.

The guy is a moron. He uses mental gymnastics to justify killing people and children, to other morons. It's simple, killing kids is evil, don't do it. One crime does not justify another. And Israel is committing a far far worse crime than Oct 7
It only seems logical because he left out half of the story. He also bases his conclusions on facts coming only from Israel, and uses historical parallels which aren't parallel. Moreover, if you want to know if someone is credible, see if they adjust the death toll on October 7th on a per-capita basis. By their logic, one person being killed in Monaco or Liechtenstein is the equivalent of two 9/11's(and therefore justifies extreme brutality).

In the same way that the pro-Palestinian protestors who supposedly care so much about human rights didn't go out and march about mass deaths in Sudan or Assad's murder of thousands in Syria. Outrage is selective and largely vocal when Israel is involved.
Money. China is a massive trading partner, if an Uyghur Muslim were to escape to Saudi, they would get sent back. All for the sake of money, it's callous. Israel, on the other hand, is a historic enemy of the Arab world and does not benefit them in any way. Israel was only starting to normalise relations with Saudi just before October 7th.

I am glad I was openminded enough to challenge my own views and kept reading and listening, but still, in hindsight it took me too long to see clear...
how do you think zionist ideology affect people? I recall first videos of bombings shown in a Ukranian chat after all the horror they have lived through in Ukraine. The people were petrified, as they thought Russia was the most merciless criminal, they couldn't believe what Israel was doing. And that was before any ideologies, just people seeing what's happening
As to Point 1, Israel’s legitimacy: I wish Kisin had mentioned that more than half of Israelis are refugees not from Europe but from the Arab states and Iran - were they had lived in often deep oppression for a thousand years, and who fled or were expelled to Israel after 1948. There were more such refugees than there were Arab refugees of the Nakba. And they can never go back to their ancestral homes. Neither expulsion justifies the other. But it was not a one-sided expulsion; it was an exchange of populations, much like India/Pakistan, which unfolded at the same time (although India/Pakistan was immensely bloodier and more violent.) And no one is now trying to undo that.
Not true they were oppressed in their countries! I am from Egypt and jews were living here peacefully and in perfect conditions! The decision to expel them was wrong but trying to make it equal to what happened in Palestine is bullshit!!
Maybe a history lesson from a Mizrahi Jewish historian Avi Shlaim would provide a better understanding of Jews in Arab states, particularly Iraq. ruclips.net/video/lfDhaWlqXf8/видео.html
@@nabeelkh One does not have to support all of Israel’s actions in 1948, or at any other time - and I do not - to recognize that Avi Shlaim is a propagandist, not a historian. His statements about the Baghdad bombings being the work of the Mossad have been heavily refuted by much evidence collected by historians like Yorav Gelber. And there are records of Jewish oppression in the Arab world - not at all times and places, but in enough of them - going back a thousand years and forward into living memory. There are many other Jewish refugees from Iraq living in Israel besides Shlaim. Very few of them would support his view. And it was more like 900,000 Jews who fled Arab lands following 1948, of whom 600,000 came to Israel - not 260,000 as this video claims. They and their descendants are a slight majority of Jews in Israel.
Many Arab Israelis live there because they were refugees when Israel itself massacred and kick led them out of their homes in 1948. By his logic on proportion, your life is given its value by the population of the country you live in. Why not use that same logic on Israel's proportion of Gazans killed? They've killed 2% of Gazans if Mexican terror groups kill 36,000 Americans, does that mean the U.S. can kill 2.5 million Mexicans? This is sophistry, and it is insulting to say that October 7 was 11x worse than 9/11. The crux of “history did not begin on Oct 7” is not Israel is an illegitimate state. It would be too much to type but the statement is self-explanatory. October 7th was a response, to Israeli occupation/brutality. (It's still a terrorist attack. You can use terrorism as a form of resistance. ) Hamas's success on October 7th is not a reflection of Hamas's capabilities but of the failure of Israel's defense. Another October 7 can be prevented by better border security. (Just like 9/11 can never happen again because mostly of the TSA, not due to the destruction of Al-Qaeda.) 9:1 is a total myth been debunked countless times. It seems to come from a UN report that included civilian casualties/displaced. US/NATO in urban warfare has led to civilian to combatant casualties of ~0.5/1, maybe 1/1 on the high end. His facetious claims that a Jewish homeland should be in "Florida" is predicated on the lie that most of Israel's citizens are of western descent, when in fact 70% of Israel's citizens are of Middle Eastern/North African origin (50% Mizrahi/Sephardi Jews; 20% Arabs, half of whom practice Islam). I don't agree that the severity of attacks are accurately compared by dividing the number killed by the nation's population size. I think it entirely fair to say this is Israel's 9/11, despite Biden's remark that if normalized for population, it's like 15 9/11's. And if we are to consider ratios, we could not ignore the fraction of Gaza's population that has been killed.

@@mitar6206 I already did on a stand alone comment, I did not want to spam the same thing on every comment everywhere I leave a reply on. Here's a copy of said comment: Although you claim to use logic in your statements I can see some possible fallacies in these statements: You compare Israel's October 7th attack to 9/11 but I believe the per capita comparison is skewed to make the attack seem worse. While per capita calculations are valid, they can be misleading without considering the broader geopolitical and historical context. This ignores the asymmetric power balance between Israel and Palestine, leading to oversimplification. You also argue on Israel’s legitimacy through comparison with settler states and while it’s true many modern countries were formed through colonization or conquest, this does not justify or legitimize the actions of any particular country. Settler-colonialism is historically recognized as unjust, and comparing it with countries like the U.S. or Australia distracts from the specific grievances Palestinians hold against the modern Israeli state. It's a tu quoque fallacy (appealing to other wrongdoings) rather than addressing the issue directly. I also believe that arguing that Hamas’s attack was purely terrorism overlooks the complexity of resistance movements in occupied territories. While targeting civilians is indefensible, dismissing the entire motivation behind the attacks as mindless terrorism ignores decades of occupation and violence that fuels such actions. There is a failure to recognize causality in the conflict. Then we have the two-to-one civilian-to-combatant casualty ratio used to show Israel’s "success" in minimizing casualties. However, presenting this as a justification doesn’t negate that civilians are still dying in large numbers. The argument ignores proportionality, a key principle in international law. Furthermore, focusing on statistics alone without considering the humanitarian aspect can be seen as a cold logical fallacy, where empathy and ethical considerations are overshadowed by numbers. And lastly, hile Hamas’s use of human shields is a war crime, to place full responsibility for all civilian deaths on Hamas ignores Israel’s actions, including its blockade and military occupation. It’s a black-and-white fallacy to claim one side bears all the blame for civilian deaths.

What's sad is the level at which Isreali propaganda has taken root even among the educated. Netanyahu himself has been very categorical on why he propped up Hamas, One IDF general put it clearly, “One effective way to prevent a two-state solution is to divide between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.” In 2015, Bezalel Smotrich, currently the finance minister in Netanyahu’s government, summed up the strategy by stating, “The Palestinian Authority is a burden. Hamas is an asset.” As far back as December 2012, Mr. Netanyahu told the prominent Israeli journalist Dan Margalit that it was important to keep Hamas strong, as a counterweight to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. Mr. Margalit, in an interview, said that Mr. Netanyahu told him that having two strong rivals, including Hamas, would lessen pressure on him to negotiate toward a Palestinian state.” The fact is, Isreal doesn't and will most likely never accept a palestianian state. Its simple, Isreal is an Ethnostate that believes they are intrisnsically better than other people("God's Chosen"), especially the Palestinians. I have personally watched Isreali shows where they are very vehement on why they believe ALL palestianians are as good as animals. Very few isrealis believe their life is equaivalent to that of palestianians or generally their Arab neighbors. Even my brothers and sisters the Ethiopian Jews who emigrated to Isreal some years back where treated as second class citizens, if you think I'm lying, look at it, it has been well documented. The truth in the Israel & Palestine situation is that both sides are wrong on many levels, and that justifying one's wrong with another one's wrong is also wrong. Everything is wrong in this situation and no normal person should take sides in this conflict.
this is some of the stupidest dribble i have seen in a long time and you could apply it to LITERALLY any argument or war in the history of the universe, you could easily apply it to both sides of WW2, you could apply it to the soviet conquest in russia, china and korea and so it is completely meaningless. israel is many many orders of magnitude better than the surrounding arabs in every conceivable way if you hold ANY western values.
For any truth to be determined, one must first establish criteria upon which that truth will be discoverable. His premise was rational, coherent, factual and logical, and as such his conclusion was as well. Surely you recognize that the very comment you made here is based on the way you went about "setting the frame". But since you began with a faulty premise, you ended with a faulty conclusion. The problem is not "setting the frame", but what that frame is based on.

Never let logic get in the way of a crazie's counterargument. I saw a video yesterday of a middle-aged white British woman who approached people holding placards that stated that "Hamas are terrorist." I can't contest that statement but she tried to. She said: "Hamas are not terrorists under international law." That's what you're dealing with in the world right now. Never mind the actual terrorist groups that want to wipe Israel and the Jews off the planet. Not that they would stop there if successful. These are the same people and their supporters who get upset when Israel tries to destroy and neutralise the terrorist groups in response. Yep, logic is a very controversial thing.

The additional fact that there was no Arab or Muslim Palestinian people or province of any Muslim empire in world history until they appeared out of thin air in 1964 would also be relevant if you want to really learn the history of the Conflict. There were 2 "Palestines or Philistines" in world history. 1. The ancient Med Sea people from Crete who worshiped a Merman fish god in 5 cities in the SW Holy Land were obliterated by the Assyrian Conquests of Senncharib and Esserhaddon in the 7th Century bce. They went literally extinct. Judea only survived because King Hezekiah's Judea survived by a miracle. This was after western Judea and the large city of Lachish had already been destroyed by the same Senncharib. Except for a 52 yr long exile in Babylon, for 800 years there was only Judea (Judah or Yehudah). 2. After destroying the Temple in the year 70, Hadrian's Rome crushed the 2nd Judean Revolt lead by Bar Kokhba in 135ce. In 132 ce, Bar Kokhba had obliterated 2 1/2 Roman Legions. Hadrian came back the following yr with 10 legions and crushed his revolt. Pagan Rome renamed Judea as Palestine after the Sea people who had been extinct for 800 years in order to de-Judaize the Land of Israel and Judea in the same way that Rome renamed Carthage as Africa over 300 years prior to Bar Kokhba after Carthage had warred with Rome 3 times. 190 yrs after Bar Kokhba, Constantine Catholocized the Roman Empire at the Council of Nicea in 325 ce, and Palestina became a 100% Catholic and Armenian Orthodox Christian Province of the Roman and soon to be Eastern Roman Empire. This lasted until the Zoastrian Persians conquered Jerusalem in 615 ce and the Arab Conquest of Omar in 637 ce. At that point Catholic and Christian Palestine ceased to exist as a political entity and was slightly resurrected during the Crusades. But the Arab and Muslim World had no such province of any Empire or Semitic people by that name for 1330 years! The proof is in 1949 after the War for Israel's Independence concluded, Jordan took the "W. Bank" and Egypt took Gaza for 18 years. Neither of them set up an Arab nation called Palestine because no such Arab people even existed.

I am glad I was openminded enough to challenge my own views and kept reading and listening, but still, in hindsight it took me too long to see clear...
Ive heard it and its simply wrong
how do you think zionist ideology affect people? I recall first videos of bombings shown in a Ukranian chat after all the horror they have lived through in Ukraine. The people were petrified, as they thought Russia was the most merciless criminal, they couldn't believe what Israel was doing. And that was before any ideologies, just people seeing what's happening
The sophistry just never never ends on this issue.

"history did not start on oct 7th" is not the same as 'Israel is illegitimate". Rather, it refers to the history of horrific violence that Israel has used against Palestinians for decades. Zio amnesia is a serious condition.
You can use terrorism as a form of resistance. )
Hamas's success on October 7th is not a reflection of Hamas's capabilities but of the failure of Israel's defense. Another October 7 can be prevented by better border security. (Just like 9/11 can never happen again because mostly of the TSA, not due to the destruction of Al-Qaeda.)
9:1 is a total myth been debunked countless times. It seems to come from a UN report that included civilian casualties/displaced. US/NATO in urban warfare has led to civilian to combatant casualties of ~0.5/1, maybe 1/1 on the high end. Not like the US is guilt-free of war crimes.

Even a "moderate" organisation like the PA is not benign, it pays stipends to families of "martyrs" who have killed Israelis in terrorist attacks. Most are as brown as any middle easterner and most have had to flee Islamic dominated countries in the region. In addition to what you say about number 2 is that I'd argue the main reason for the attack was to commit a something so barbaric, so inhuman that Israel, especially under Netanyahu would have to react in the way it did. Or how about Israel maintaining an apartheid state?
@@mitar6206 I already did on a stand alone comment, I did not want to spam the same thing on every comment everywhere I leave a reply on.
Here's a copy of said comment:
Although you claim to use logic in your statements I can see some possible fallacies in these statements:
You compare Israel's October 7th attack to 9/11 but I believe the per capita comparison is skewed to make the attack seem worse.
@@adamguerrero5293 There are so many things it wouldn't fit in one comment! I left a comment just pointing out what I believe are some logical fallacies he used to skew people's perception. The Palestinian Isrealis who are official citizens of Isreal and have lived in Isreal for decades are still second class to the european jews. What we are dealing with is a racist regime with a well-crafted agenda to move all palestinians from their land. And if you Konstantin who I respect so much is in full support of Isreal's actions in Gaza and their long term agenda, then I am greatly disappointed in you and it saddens my heart that the so called "civilized world" can't see the racial tones in Isreal's agenda or rather choose to ignore it.
@@Darthvader-k7n The Palestinians never wanted two states. They have been offered a state beside the Jewish state several times, including in the UN partition plan. And in the longer run to establish a sharia state in Europe and the US. You may wish to study the history and geography of the area. The reason why the Palestinian propaganda and their false narrative is so popular is that it serves the progressive woke racist ideology..

Because you can use that argument to say that Palestine now will do the same to Israel, and after 100 years, people will be forced to stop complaining that they did so.
He is essentially saying that Israel’s forceful actions are the same as others in history, and so they are normal. This is essentially legitimizing colonization and violence.

Excellent breakdown of the issues. Thank you.
Thank you Konstantin, I greatly appreciate your clarity
Great Clarity! Just a whole damn year too late.
Thank you. So agree with you and we need more voices like yours.

100% spot on. The only way a moral person can respond is this.
The only way for a moral person to respond is to be horrified by both October 7th and what Israel is currently doing. If you only think one of the two is bad then you’re morally inconsistent and likely blinded by ideology
Thank you for this I came off the fence also, it is just awful what happened a year ago today, I hope the remaining hostages survive and are reunited with their families ❤

Thank you so much Konstantin for your objective opinion because you were trying for a year listen to most opinions quite reputable people in the field. Your patient and tact have no comparison Thank you again for your opinion. Israel needed it.
Not sure Israel needed it. G-d Himself is forcing all Mankind to choose a side on this very issue before He judges Humanity before the Messianic Era. As one might say, who is in the Flock of the Shepherd, or who is a pig.
He's not objective at all, he's highly partial

@@TheTeeProd there is no occupation . Calling isreals defense "Forceful actions " is deceitful! If you (hamas)shoot up your neighborhood the police (IDF) will return fire with the intention of overwhelming . It will not be proportional ! But if you (20% Israelis are palistinians) live in peace you are included in society!
the blockade is also another motive for anti israeli suporters but no one seems to observe that gaza has a border with egypt and egypt does not want any palestinian refugee, maybe they learned their lesson from jordan in 70 and lebanon in 75.
And that the blockage was for things that could be used as weapons... It wasn't to starve the population or anything of that sort.
