Hi Chris! We're experiencing major problems with rigging the DPA6066 headmic without having any scratching or bumping noises when moving the head. The boom and cable in the neck seems very sensitive to anything touching it so I wonder how you did achieve that good sound from 7:33- ?? No matter if we make it fit tight in the neck it picks up everything touching the boom/cable, like hair, beard and so on. Have you experienced this? If so, how did you manage to get a clean sound (BTW the mic itself is sounding superb..) Best regards /Lasse
That is actually an excellent point. It can be quite annoying to manage earrings and hair in particular. My partner is teaching Yoga and she, for example, had to be cautious of which earrings she would be wearing (only little pins but nothing that “hangs”). So, I think that's just the reality of working with this type of mic. Two more thoughts: 1) When working in a live environment, those “noises” probably don't matter all that much and are much more noticeable when you are editing such video material after with headphones / good speakers in a quiet room. 2) In post-processing, some of those noises can be taken out with tools like iZotope RX for de-clip/de-rustle/de-**. I know, that's not the answer one wants 🙈; but all I have.
Hi Chris! Do you considered doing video about new feature in premiere pro about linear timecode? I'm using Canon R5C + Canon R8 + Zoom F6 + Tentacle Sync + Rode Wireless Pro and I would love to see your workflow. I'm trying to implement timecode with our weddings, but it's not that simple.
I am considering a video about the new Timecode sync in Premiere and have been in contact with Adobe about how they implemented it as well as improvements I'd like to see. I am ramping back up with videos in the coming weeks. So, maybe this one is going to be done soon.
Thanks for the heads-up. I may have to re-upload this video. But a sidenote: how about you don't do all that in a condescending voice and remember that there are humans on the other end of the line! I appreciate the feedback, but sometimes things go fast, the editing program playback looks like it's in sync, but then the export is not… errors can happen.

If you are "SO" professional, why didnt you sync your audio correctly to your video?
