It's always nice to see that innovation, engineering, and quality machinists are alive and well in the U.S.
NOW someone comes out with a solution! I came down with cancer 4 years ago, radiation and chemo for a year..... lost 60 lbs and all my great muscle mass. Ended up buying an ad-on trike system for my Harley Davidson Road Glide, I could not steer it hardly at all in corners I was so weak, so I sold it rather than let it sit (didn't know if I was going to make it anyway) to someone who could enjoy it. LOL, well, I survived, still not strong enough to hold up a big bike, but if I were to get one, I would definitely like to get one of these on it! At present I have a Suzuki LS650 thumper and a little Kawasaki Ninja 300.... both small and lightweight.
I was born without legs, and I've never been able to ride a motorcycle as a result. I've ridden as a passenger a couple of times, but I've never been able to drive one myself... Assuming the self-standing one can be modified so that it doesn't need any foot-controls to work, that looks like a bike that I could actually drive myself -- very cool piece of engineering!
Take a look at the yamaha tri-city. It doesn't look as elegant as the bike in the video though.
+LMacNeill I am sure if you gave these folks a call and asked they could accommodate it doesn't seem like fitting hand controls would be a big issue
If you didn't mind not "leaning" . . take a look at a can-am with no clutch, it has a "paddle shift" on the left hand .. and there's a modification for the right hand throttle grip that puts the entire brake system on a lever similar to the "front brake" on a motorcycle
it isnt available in the United States yet if ever

Thumbs up for Jay for having such great inventors on his channel. Good job Mr. Mighell.
You know Jay Leno is impressed when he finds it difficult to express his opinion/feelings with just words.
Mom
I think he just found the thing weird looking and couldn't think of the market for such a thing. I think he really wanted to make fun of it because it looks so goofy, but the engineering proved to be so well done and effective that in the name of fairness, it wouldn't be fair to crack the jokes he wanted to about the thing. He was struggling to be diplomatic/polite about something he couldn't help but to consider a farce. 😂
Jay, .. thanks for bring up the term 'counter steering'. I used ride to and from work, rain or shine (31 miles each way) all year. in the late 70's and 80's. I was always a big fan of Kenny Roberts and wanted to know everything about riding fast and living. Counter steering was the single most important thing I learned. I always tell people the simplest way to remember is: 'push right to go right and push left to go left'. No body leaning or hanging off needed. People need to understand it's simple physics; gyroscopic precession. The front fork (handlebars) 'at speed' do not turn, it just makes the tire and wheel assembly lean over in the direction the axle is pushed. For those that don't know.,,, learn and practice and you will go around the corner and live.
This guy will convert your bike for 10k?! Helluva business idea for elderly and handicap. What a hidden gem of a company. Props to the owner
Now imagine a car with this much agility and maneuverability.
Guys like this or should I say gentlemen like this are the backbone of our civilization.
Type in "4 wheel tilting cycle", they have one that is very interesting.
Love the engineering. The fact that you took this thing to Bonneville is pretty amazing too! I would change that front middle fender though, the vertical vents look a little odd.
+Thomas Joseph Like any bike, you could always customize it to fit you ;)
Thomas Joseph I’m not crazy about those vents either!
This is the coolest 3 wheel design yet. Just as cool as a 2 wheel bike.
My wife is only 4'11" and with the exception of something like a Honda Rebel or similar she can't ride a street bike because she can't get her feet on the ground. This would be an option for anyone of short stature who want to get out in the wind. It goes without saying that we have veterans that could take full advantage of this system to find the open road again!
Nice Work!
Have you considered lowering a street bike?
+SoCal308GTSiQV honda grom
+SoCal308GTSiQV
My wife is 4'11" and i slammed a 2005 HD Sportster, put mid controls on and progressive suspension front and rear and dropped it another 1" ontop of the shorter shocks and front end springs and added a solo spring mount seat and she loves it, but know that many small people run lowered SOFTAILS as lower center of gravity makes them even easier for them once they get past the fear factor they wish they upgraded to them sooner.
not to mention that sweet counterbalance.
original post was gunna be about veterans getting loans, but honestly the cider is going to me 'ead.
off topic: HD M8 motor, with total counterbalance, and with oil leak issues worked oot, thats gotta be a thrill
Well done Bob, you and the tilter came over vey well in Jay's video; just reward for all the years of development in the Yahoo Tilting Group.
Although I don't ride motorcycles I think that's a great idea. I like the way it works too. And I like the way it just simply replaces the fork so it's easy to adapt to many different bikes.
+Zomby Woof I had the same impression. I'm not a motorcycle rider because of disability and balance issues, but this thing is just so interesting and probably would be just as fun as a two-wheeled bike.
Great piece of work and perfect for the ageing bike rider with compromised injuries.
Had a brain anomaly (minor stroke) a couple of years ago and haven't been too crazy about riding a motorcycle again..... this sure changes my mind. I'm back riding the trails on my mountain bike, and very grateful to God for that.......... motorcycle riding sounds like plan......... I remember seeing a Kawasaki adaptation that was on the show CHIPS in the 70's.... wonder what happened to that. But I think that was with a side car.
I have a bike license although I've never owned or been riding a bike.
Whenever I choose to get one I would probably prefer a tilting three-wheeler.
Don't need a heavy bike, don't want high HP, what I want is a visceral feel of driving and leaning into a corner and this is perfect for that!
This is the first three-wheeler with two wheels at the front that I've found attractive. Well done.
Orion Slaver Nice fast citie trike italia piaggio
I am almost ready due to age for something like this! I will not stop riding now. Just need to get one. My RK is very heavy and bad knees makes this a great invention! I am a vet as well, Air Force and U.S. Army 11B.
Smart guy. Very cool technology. If I ever injured myself to the point of not being able to ride on 2 wheels I would definitely look at something like this.
I saw these several years ago, and realized immediately what they can do for Injured Veterans, like myself, and ALL of the injured or otherwise physically limited people who still want to RIDE! As well as MANY lady riders who are afraid of falling over or sliding down in the rain or from road debris and so on.
I am simply in LOVE with riding, and want to see more and more people discover some of the same pleasures of the road that I feel...and to discover their own 'favorite way to ride'. So I would love to see this expanded to a wide variety of motorcycle "styles" ... smaller middle-weight bikes, sport-touring, sport-standards and so on.
I was afraid that after my most recent surgery I might have to give up riding myself. And I could not afford a 'Trike', and I honestly didn't want to be 'stuck' in the awkward always upright riding position of the trikes, or even of the Can-Am Spyders. Fortunately, after LOTS of Pain and PT, and 2 additional followup surgeries, I was able to 'force' the body parts to bend further than they were supposed to, and I could get back on my 2-wheeled motorcycles. [ a cruiser and a sport-standard that has been 'worked on a little bit' and does 170 mph at Road Atlanta.] But as this 65 yr old beaten up old body continues to get stiffer and less flexible...this will be a Far better option than the non-tilting models.
Submitted for your approval.....I cannot help but think what it would be like to adapt this type of front suspension to a Morgan 3-wheeler......imagine banking into turns with a Morgan....something similar was done many years ago with a Mother Earth News three wheeler project, so it can be done.....and Jay, you have the means to get one produced.....love to see it here!!!!!
Saw this on the motorcycle channel and they did a great video but Jay is just a better host,IMO. Thanks for being curious and skeptical about it and then accepting this with a open mind!
I was with jay.... a bit skeptical but this is actually quite good as he found out.
I want one! Had a Triumph in my younger years but this is something I would consider to get that great open road feeling again. Nice job.
Just when I thought I was going to bed, Jay uploads a new video
A calm and very well-spoken man. Engineer personality not a salesman type at all.
I'm not a fan but I can see the attraction for older people that maybe don't have the balance or strength they once did. They do look very well made though.
+Gary Lowe My thoughts exactly
+Gary Lowe targeting the motorbike people who dont want to stoop to the level and buy a can am spyder. but still want a harley.
+euroaaRON1 "stoop" ?? the Can Am has 5 gyros and an anti-lock brake system that intervenes during "instability"
the Harley has many sub-assemblies made in Japan, Germany, and India.
The Can-Am won't kill you.
+Gary Lowe Or people that want a cruiser that can handle well. As a typical Harley handles horribly. But these handle far better.
Gary Lowe j
as a DAV with a leg limb difference, this would be so beneficial with my 2012 CVO. I just learned of this company, Time start saving my penny's. Nice work Jay for sharing.
I found the TMW conversion kit already on a low mileage 04 GL1800 and purchased it. It should be here either late today or maybe tomorrow I had to have it shipped from Washington state to NC. To do my GL1800 with taxes and not color matched to would've been $19,000.00 at one of their dealers in Virginia (that includes everything but paint) I bought the whole bike with the assist for $12,000.00 and it only has 41k on the speedo.
I forgot..Thank you for your service 🫡🫡🫡
Jay's impressed and that's saying something.
+Walter Palmer Jay not knowing that this technology is not actually new says more....
Jay likes any commercial he's paid to make...
Creative and Good engineering! Thats the name of the game.
Key features: handles WAY better and is safer.
Looks like an excellent choice for anyone who wants to go fast!
Wow, very cool. I had a major stroke about 5 years ago. Spent 9 months in the hospital and rehab. The only thing that it robbed me of is my balance. I have been ridding 2 wheels pretty much my whole life. Had to sell my Valkyrie a few years back and thought my biking days were over. Then I saw the BRP Spyder 3 wheeler and I’m thinking about getting one. The fact that he is putting these on Goldwings has me interested. It would be like having my Valkyrie back. It would be pretty expensive for us, my wife don’t work and we live on a single income so we need to watch out pennies. Thanks for showing us this. 🧐
I really like these, from what I've seen here and elsewhere! I hope their company is a big success.
This is why I watch Jay Leo's garage simply amazing.
piaggio have been doing this for a while now,on the mp3 and fucco ?
+shiny red Actually, the Chinese have been doing them for decades now on some scooters... But... They are not bolt ons..
+shiny red Yeah but they have no charm, look horrible and sound like vacuums.
+shiny red the mechanism is actually quite different
+shiny red Yeah, these have been around for a decade.
+shiny red Yeah, this guy was military, right? So he pretty much just traveled oversea and saw all Piaggio, Gilera, Peugeot, BMW, Honda, Yamaha, and other brand that do this kind of tilting tricycles for over a decade now...
Much better looking than a typical trike and also doesn't lose the bike-feel. Tech isn't new (and the guy admitted it when he was talking about going up to the university), but nobody really polished it as much as it is now. Good for him and his company.
Yes, this looks like a quality one.
I almost didn't want to watch this episode.....really is a pretty cool piece of engineering!
+Justin Snow Same here. Not my cup of tea personally, but very interesting from a design/engineering impressive. Like the Randy Grubb vehicles that Jay's reviewed; I'd never buy one, but really entertaining reviews.
+Justin Snow There really IS a good market for this. A lot of short/small people and those with disabilities would love to be able to ride a touring motorcycle safely. This is the absolute answer.
I like the idea and especially for people who would otherwise have to go to a full trike which is not able to lean like a bike and drives more like a 3 wheel car.
Part of the fun of a bike is the leaning into corners :).
I think also my dad would like something like this a full size bike with that added too it would make life easier for him as as you get older and your health is not so good a trike is easier especially if your balance is not so good.
I always love these segments showing you peoples ideas.
Seem like two great guys. Mike's a Cottonbaler by God. Damned fine soldiers!
The one big thing that I like is no more sparks on tight corners, no scraped primaries and foot boards . Nice job guys!
It operates on what is called a virtual wheel. Not a new idea but still cool to see Americans making stuff.
Some spectacular engineering!
Science is our only hope!
when I'm to old to handle a regular bike I think this looks like a good alternative
Totally Awesome! Helping the Small Guys like tilt, your the best jay
Excited about the deal just announced with Arcimoto (FUV)!
Great move!!! Can't wait to see it on the roadster. Arcimoto long.
When I first saw the Can-Am Spyder, I assumed it would work this way. Obviously I was wrong, which turned me off the Spyder. It's surprising it took this long for someone to overcome the (to me) obvious design flaw of a non-tilting front-wheeled trike. Cool that they have OEMs that are interested.
Designed and built in the USA by American's! Now that is something in today's global market place.
+Rain Coast coming soon to a chinese factory near you!
+Rain Coast lol since when is american made a sign of good worksmanship and quality? also, by whom else should it be made if the factory is in the US?
+Rain Coast And still, this is nothing new. In motorcycles maybe, but not otherwise.
How many bonneville records do you hold?
Exactly.
KingOfCoconuts Hah! Exactly =D
As long as there are engineers and inventors and fabricators like these guys, I feel optimistic about the future of our beloved cuontry.
Put this on an H2, with an extended swing arm. The added weight/leverage would allow you to go full throttle in 1st, and 2nd, without flipping.
+Ander Pendragon lol, and roast the tire.
phatrides222000 Better to roast it, than to have the bike ride you.
Ander Pendragon agreed
I don't think it would work well on a powerful bike. 2 wheels = twice the gyroscopic action. plus the lean angles needed to get around a bend at speed would not be achieved with this sort of contraption.
Gary Lowe Who said anything about going around corners? At normal road speeds it'd be fine. Racing is another matter, but not completely out of the question. It would need to be set up differently though. (for circuit tracks.) They race Morgan's. Space the front wheels further apart, and extend them further out in front. Actually, a new frame would need to be constructed for what I'm thinking about. Bring the saddle down lower, etc etc. Basically the Formula One, of reverse trikes.
Both Polaris and Can-Am have been working on similar leaning designs for their three wheelers , and neither company has brought a design to production yet... it looks like a two man upstart company from Seattle just beat them to the punch...well done !
Jay is right...when riding a 3 wheeler, not having the ability to lean makes the rider work a lot harder at the handlebars to keep the machine pointing where the rider wants it to go...this design will start making those other 3 wheelers a lot less attractive to buy.
This is how the cam am spyder should be.
I have a Can Am RT 2015 and yes it does not lean which means it's no where near the fun as riding a two wheel motorcycle.
Can one of these front ends be modicied to a Car Am Spyder? Jameskea@comcast.net
This guy is the Best Interview EVER
my kind of engineer, knows what he can do and what he can't do.
+Marc Lebrun BINGO!
yep exactly what is needed ,perfection for what i need, feel of the bike more stable than most trikes
Interesting. The university guys mentioned at the beginning need to open their eyes... Piaggio has been selling the MP3 in Europe for almost 10 yrs...
I also have a reverse trike, incidently simmilar to one you crashed a while ago, and whilst being fun it´s a real pothole searcher, you have no way of dodging them.
Great plug for the constructor Jay.
Reasons like this is why America is the best country in the world. A medical equipment business person pursues his dream and makes it happen.
+SidewaysInTraffic You can do that everywhere. And American isn't even close at the best country in the world. It's not even in the top 10.
+Patrick Carta america is the centre of the world and you know it
also the most powerful
***** Either way, it doesn't make it the best country in the world. Its not even in the top 10 of the best country to live in.
+Art Vandelay unfortunately, any country that has its majority vote in Clinton and Trump cannot be the best country in the world. Not even close.
+SidewaysInTraffic AMERIKA!
I love seeing new engineering concepts. Good job gentlemen!
So the University said it was not possible to build!? I see scooters with 3 wheels everyday (same design), I think it is Piaggio that builds them
+T0BBi94 Yeah something tells me that's a fib, Maybe a moronic professor who didn't know anything said that..I doubt "The university' said that.
Or maybe its' complete nonsense so he has a cool story to tell when talking about his company. Who knows.
correct me if im wrong but the blocke said that the university wasnt interested, not that it was impossible
don trump He saiad that the University said it had been tried before and had been proven unstable and they wouldnt take on the project
+T0BBi94 Exactly so. Piaggio, and now Peugot and Yamaha all make this style of bike as scooters. I have the Piaggio MP3 myself - it requires all the same riding technique as any motorcycle, but has more stable front end than a scooter because scooters tend to have small wheels. You still fall over if you can't balance or hold the bike up, BTW. The three wheels only stay upright if you activate the hydraulics at extremely low speed, and it automatically cuts out once you accelerate.
+T0BBi94 not the same design. clearly
I'm impressed with the engineering at work here and the concept of being able to bolt it onto an existing platform. What would likely be odd (at first) for most motorcyclists trying one of these would be that you're actually turning the bars all of the time rather than countersteering on them at greater than parking lot speeds. I hope they enjoy a lot of success!
At 3:10 they mention that counter-steering is still part of turning with this design.
Piaggio did this with the MP3. This is not new.
+Mike B Leanster Brudeli 625L is a full size motorcycle and already did this. Not sure if they are still in business. They are not the first to have this idea and its not new.
+Mike B 500 cc is not really a 'little skooter'. The engineering is the same and it came years ago.
+dalesworld 500C is tiny in the world of motor cycles. Considering the bigger cruisers are in the 1800cc range.
Also, this design has not been done before, hence the patents.
+dalesworld Not really the engineering is a lot different. The MP3 is based on forks and a balancing link. This is true IFS with each hub tilting and steering.
+Mike B It's still not new in the sense they invented it. Someone who builds a bigger SUV after looking at everyone else's does not mean they made something new.
Of all the third wheel options out there this one seems like the best of them.. although that's not saying much. I'll still stick to my 2 wheels. However maybe in the event I lose a leg or something where I'd need to consider an easier way to ride in order to not stop riding all together this would probably be what I'd go for.. For now though I like my motorcycle the way it is.
Completely Amazing
For everybody who say Piaggio or the Yamaha Tricity already had a leaning bike, but this has a leaning wishbone type suspension, better for braking and can handle more weight of bigger bikes.
Piagio MP3?
This would be big in the uk with the roads we have should look at opening up would also help the car drivers as you can ride a trike in the uk with a car licence
Isn't this the same as the Piaggio MP3 that was introduced in 2006?
+MrSlicer2424 No, its not the same. Otherwise he wouldn't have been issued patents.
I was thinking the same thing.
+HDaviator His patents are all issued in US not internationally, you can check the US patent office for more information.
+Arash Fallah I don't know much about patents, but I would assume patents that are issued internationally would be recognized in the U.S. Regardless, how do you know this is the same mechanism the piaggio uses? It does the same thing but I know nothing about the design behind it and I am curious if you do.
Patents are territorial rights. In general, the exclusive rights are only applicable in the country or region in which a patent has been filed and granted, in accordance with the law of that country or region. So Piaggio's patents are valid in Italy and Europe.
Also patents have expiry date, which is usually 20 years. Considering that Piaggio has been selling MP3s for past 10 years it's easy to deduce that the patent if it was filed, was filed more around 15 years ago with design and production timelines.
Also when a patent is filed, designers usually include similar mechanisms that achieve the same outcome.
Anyway, the question is not similarity of the mechanisms but the boastfulness of the "inventor" in saying that it's unique and he came up with it first and so on. While his design might be different from Piaggio's one, the concept has been in production for more than a decade and his argument for better grip due to mechanism is not valid. Although the contact area is increased, so has mass both sprung and unsprung.
All in all, his design as cool as it might be has been done in many variations and self-balancing technology like this has been used in many other three wheel vehicles (Carver had it back in 2000.
Thus, we reach the conclusion that the inventor is more like a tinkerer who has seen other examples of motorcycles with two wheels front or cars with one wheel front and made something with a Harley-Davidson badge on it
Wish I would have seen this a few years ago. Since I came down with leukemia I've gotten so weak I can't hold up my Road king when I'm stopped and it tips just a few degrees. Glad I was riding with a friend when I did drop it at a stop sign, I sure can't pick it up. Thanks for the video. Cheers, Dale PS and its a taildragger just like my J3 ;-)
just a thought: piaggio was doing this some time ago!
On scooter not motorcycle.Had Piaggio done real size up and got rid of ugly scooter looks yeah why not.
Jay I absolutely love when you bring in new stuff in your show.
You're the best man!
Hello Jay, I'm an elderly person,I need a three weells like scooter, not too big, cause I don't know to the two weells one,do you have some like that I can pay you in monthly payments, please,is to go to my doctors appt, around here have to be cash, and for me impossible, thanks let me know please,🙋
Harley should give this man a big fat check.
+OneManFlush I have a feeling they 'know he's out there'....
This looks like a perfect add-on for a Morgan or a T-Rex. The Harley mod looks to be an improvement over stock, but to do this with something with a low cg should produce spectacular performance. The other change you'd have to do is to run round-section tires for when it leans over.
I ride a tadpole (2 wheels in front) recumbent pedal trike and I'm looking to do something very much like this, along with some suspension.
Good stuff, thanks. I clicked "thumbs up" to crush a troll.
Good engineering !!!
;)
It's funny how much it freaks out Jay watching him look at the extra wheel and continuously putting his feet down.Jay is a really good rider and he can't stop his legs. Now I have to try one so I can laugh at myself every-time I do it. LMFAO
sorry to be a downer on this but my reason to use a bike is for slipping between cars in traffic and easy parking so has limited appeal for me but hey lot of time and effort went into producing this machine ..good job
comgratulations
+kim jerreat You're not the target demographic though. This is perfect for people who can no longer ride a regular motorcycle without looking like a giant tool on one of those Can-Am Spyders which are nothing like a motorcycle.
+kim jerreat And when you're an old grumpy man who still wants to ride but can't hold up his big bike you will understand why this is genius.
+kim jerreat It's also worth mentioning that lane splitting is illegal (at least in the US) everywhere but California, so that really isn't a concern for most people. People with trikes still use motorcycle parking.
Although you can't really lane split on this bike, one could argue that considering the size of the original bikes, you weren't going to be doing much in the way of lane splitting anyway. I have a large Harley (FLHPI) and it's wide enough that I would not even consider lane splitting, even if it was legal around here.
Interesting solution - different from the Piaggio/Gilera method. Can tell he is an engineer - SolidWorks is the 3D package I prefer.
Wasn't Piaggio selling scooters with this layout about a decade ago?
+LiamE69 This is a bolt on kit for existing bikes
This reminds me of the prototype HD never finished using the vsrc frame. They scrapped the reverse trike in 2005 before it made it out of the proto phase. Last I remember there were issues with wheel tracking around the tighter corners, ie you could turn it on the fast corners but they couldn't keep it three wheels down losing control at the proving grounds in Yucca.
+Kent Seaton you might have something there
but can it do a endo?
Seems like it would feel more secure than a usual bike layout , wouldn't have to worry about the front wheel washing out all the time, that's probably why jay was a bit hesitant on corners , once you got used to it though you would probably have a hard time going back to two wheels, you could do it but wouldn't feel as secure as this set up. Just wonder how it would take a pothole on one wheel though.
Very cool!
Mr. Leno, nice to see you ATGATT!
The "Chrysler Airflow" grill on the middle fender and the fender design is, awkward.
For those of us who have broken more than enough bones to prevent holding up an ST1300 or GL1800 with one leg, two-up, but will not remotely consider anything which does not lean/counter-steer as it should, this has potential.
No hot babe designer to tell us about the design!?
+ARMYTRIX where is your hot babe armytrix?
+Lewis Sears New Honda NSX video.
I know right...I miss her too :(
At least he wore his stereotypical leather biker jacket :)
It was sad enough that you lonely idiots filled that video with "DURR HOTT GURL LOL". Now it's spilling into _this week's_ show? Jesus guys, get out of the house a little more often.
@jayleno sounded very impressed. He might buy one for his collection. jay leno I love your channel. You have so much knowledge in automobiles and motorcycles
How is this technology different from a Vespa MP3?
+Patrick Carta Jay has a problem here. Six months after reviewing the new T-rex thing he has the Tanom Invader on and asks them where they got the inspiration--as if!. And he reviews the Drakan Spyder with nary a mention of the defunct Deronda. Come on Jay, you owe it to your guests to have them comment on what has come before, otherwise it looks like they're hiding something.
+Patrick Carta It's the same tech.
+Mouse Mystery It must be different technology because he has been issued patents.
D in DC Its the same concept. Just different designed.
***** That was not the point..
I saw ones like this 15 or 20 years ago and thought they were way cool and a great idea but then I never saw anything on them any more after that. Glad to see someone else picked up the idea. But as i recall those from all those years ago was an enclosed one. And Im talking the same front that leaned...not those stupid ones where only the body leans. I recall them being filmed from a car in front of them showing how fast you could corner on them.
What about a comparison between this and your Can-Am Jay? This seems to have the advantage that you can still lean into the turn like a two -wheeled bike and if you already have a Harley, Gold Wing or whatever big touring bike you could retrofit the front end to it instead of having to by another bike to start from scratch. The only thing I would add would be more headlights , especially daylight running lights for those stupid car drivers, anything to stay alive.
That steering joint is mesmerizing
The key is that it is a bolt on piece.
I got a brand new Harley Street Glide in 2019 and had a stroke in April 2020. I haven't ridden since fall of 2019 I ordered this and I an hoping to have it by Sturgis this year. This will change my life for the better as much as the stroke made it worse.
it's a Piaggo mp3 of bikes.
+Romain “Herres” Sandt who wants a piaggio 3 wheeler when they can have a harley 3 wheeler
THIS IS A KICKASS FUCKING IDEA! Way to go bro. Wicked nice job. So stoked!!
This is probably the coolest thing on this website
the Piaggio 500 3 wheel works the same
+Robert Blake Not even close. The MP3 uses forks and a rocker link on top.
+Blazer02LS I was more responding to Jays fake, OMG how weird! as if he didnt drive a tilting Piaggio 3 wheeler before bcs when driving they do work the same.
Back in the 70s & early 80s there were a couple companies building tilting sidecars that handled fantastic but they were a lot of money and the companies went bankrupt so what is old is new again!
wtf!? Jay had the mp3 in the garage about 3 years ago. why is he acting like it's a new idea?
+Vic Vil it's a bolt-on kit for an existing bike. It's a new idea!
Back in the early 90's I had this same idea and even still have all of my old sketches.... Life, a wife, and kids sorta put it on hold and well like they say, "Should of, would of, could of = DIDN'T"
Piaggio scooters have been using a similar concept for years now.
True, but among other things they use a ONE cylinder 500 cc engine.
I wonder if it cancels front end dive under braking as does the BMW's Telelever and Duo-lever front suspensions. Theoretically, it could adapt to most any motorcycle someone does not wish to give up riding for reasons of age/disability. Brilliant!
THAT is truly a win-win given the exponentially larger tire/contact patch. Save for weight considerations your system could make a Sport-bike extremely hard to "out brake" and not near as likely to 'plow under'. And the abysmal fork dive and subsequent instability suffered by 500+ pound, softly sprung touring bikes with telescopic suspension is mechanically negated. Again; 'Brilliant!"
hello can you tell me. this motorcycle
