Please excuse the camera sometimes freezing, I only noticed after recording. 🙈 Do you like this more free-form live-ish format? Or would you rather watch the more edited post-commentary videos?
The old car progression system meant I avoided the open classes altogether, this change opens up a whole new way of playing the game! Thanks for the pointers, always great to see car building/tuning in realtime
I really like that they changed the open series up for this update with the cilinder count for engines. It encourages you looking for the oddball choice that's available if you know what you want and where to look. I for example have been running the original NSX in this series with varrying succes... 550hp out of an unrestricted TCR engine (available engine swap) with barely any brakes or grip turned out to be a bad but fun idea 😅
I have played so little open series this far that there is so much variety for me already. But I can see how cylinder count can be a good restriction for even more variety and cars that you normally wouldn't pick. I can imagine how the NSX you built drives. 😂
@@HDeeRacing actually... It drives quite decent to be honest 😅. Arguably the only real issue is the lack of brakes. Everything is compensated with straigth line speed with suprisingly a controllable punch out of corners if you're careful!
Thank you for the video. I really like your content. I noticed 3 things. 1. You tuned your gearbox to 260 but only hit 230 on Kemmel, is this power band related or should you tune shorter. 2. Since this update choosing new rims unlocks adapting rim size (at least in certain cars, I put TE37’s on a Mini). What would we need to take into consideration there? 3. You could take the maximum weight reduction and then balance out with ballast to get to a lower PI again and add power, but with a weight ratio closer to 50/50. Do you think this would be an advantage in most cars or only in specific engine and drivetrain combinations?
1. Could be just overall power related, the values in the tuning are not always correct. You could try to tune shorter. 2. Don't know actually. 3. That's not worth it in my experience, unless the car REALLY benefits from better weight distribution. Otherwise ballast is not very cost effective.
I have driven more different cars since the update than I have since the game came out. It was a horrible system to have to level up cars to use parts.
Instead of having to use the menues and end up in an empty lobby, I can now simply swap cars while being in a lobby. The spotlight series also became way better since the update. Most cars are now on the same level and the competition got better as a result.
I've avoided the spotlight series mostly, this really now makes it to where I would consider driving it if the car interests me, which is exactly how it should've been from the beginning. 👍
Nice video. I find on Forza to avoid the shameful rammers ss much as possible i try to keep my safety rating up to S or atleast A and also make sure i practice enough to qualify in the top 3 positions. That way i seem to have better and cleaner races.
So much damn better that it’s insane. Never mind that I have $20 million in the game all earned fairly❤. This is the way it should’ve been from launch. Now if they would just fix the GT4RS bumper it’s slightly wrong modeled after the old GT4 currently. (Horizon 5 recently fixed the model so I’d hope Turn 10 does the same here.) Also, yet again, the sound seems to be different between the two titles in this game. It sounds like a flat four not a flat six so I hope they rectify that. It’s one of my most favorite cars from its original inception in 2016 until now.
as far as im aware ,this subbie is pretty good in handling departament ,so tuning is not anything too special, could you maybe do a video about more troublesome awd cars like audi's/nissan gtr 34-35 which is less spicy in turns
Upgrade system way better. Penalty system worser than ever. They make it harsher so everyone gets a penalty for nothing. At Silverstone I get 8 seconds the first two corners for getting rammed and divebombed. Forza is nearly done I think.

And the same goes for the spotlight series as well, really opens things up for more variety, which is awesome. Great to hear you enjoyed the video! 😊

as someone who works a full time job and tries to do youtube this is amazing, and should have been this way from the start. great video man 💪😎
Thank you and yes, fully agree.
I think my main issue with FM is still the dirty driving and the aesthetics... It looks so outdated compared to Horizon 5 or GT 7.
Aesthetics are weird in FM. Not sure how and why, but I agree that FH5 looks a lot better while rendering an open world. Also runs a lot smoother.

Really like this style of video was trying to learn whilst watching
Great to hear, haven't done this style in a while.

Yeah, I feel the same. You only realize how horrible it was now I feel like.
You touched on many good points here., that I have overlooked particularly the tuning side of things. So thanks HDee for another top video. 👌💯
Glad it was helpful!

The problem with this spec is your handling doesn’t make up for the lack of speed. Meaning cars with more speed and less handling still catch you up
I guess it depends on the track. On something like Lime Rock or Maple Valley this build should do fine. But yes, probably not general purpose enough.

I haven't found much success with it, still getting a lot of rammers by doing that.

Haven't tried the GT4RS yet, was just in time to still unlock it though. 😄

We'll see, maybe at some point.

I also feel like the penalty system has gotten worse, really weird.

Yes, it's way better
