    This video was just what i was looking for. I bought used clubs which came with worn out midsize grips. I got used to them but i needed to re grip them but i wasn't sure if staying with the same or going to standard.

    I currently have Golfpride Tour Velvet Midsize grips on pretty much every thing I wear a M/L cadet glove I am gonna try the Golf Pride MCC +4 midsize grips on a couple of my woods to see if i like them and if i do like them will switch them all will the swing weight be much different you think ? your thoughts ? thx for your videos cheers from Vulcan Canada

      I wouldn't worry about swingweight making a change like this. The extra thickness in the bottom hand may change the feel slightly, but since you're already in a Golf Pride midsize, going to a Golf Pride midsize +4 will be such a minimal weight change, if it changes it at all.

    im a 4.2 and always use standard grips two wraps and this past year been struggling with elbow pain.. dirt bike wrecks lol.. recently switched to jumbo max zen lite kinda like a tour velvet i use the small + 1/4 and what a difference with strike i thought it would help with pain but not so much but strike improved for me .. i couldn't think of using regular grips again.. might go up to medium next re-grip..

    I have large palms and short fingers. I can't grip a standard or thick grip. A standard grip does stop me from releasing the club because i can't hold it in the fingers.

      That can be tricky, have you tried an undersize grip? Sometimes just playing around with different options you can stumble across something that just feels right. Golf Pride also have a bit of a size guide that may help too: www.golfpride.com/blog/what-size-golf-grip-do-i-need/

      I'm not sure it's quite that generalised, but like he said, more people should definitely play around and test them rather than just going with the standard fitted grip everytime

    Another area VASTLY under documented is the notion of putting weights into the grip of a putter, along with putter length and putter weight. Given the money changing hands for some serious kit in all other areas, it's staggering how little intel is out there on this KEY area of scoring for ALL golfers, and not only that but with the one club where all players are equal, except perhaps in terms or height, arm length, and hand size.. : )

    • @GolfShopOnline
      @GolfShopOnline  2 месяца назад +1

      This is true, so much of your putting setup (head, grip etc) comes down to personal preference, which I completely understand as you want ultimate confidence standing over any putt, but it would be interesting to see some more in-depth research into these sort of factors

    I must have got some bad info, I had read somewhere that you were six feet tall, but there's no way someone who's 6 ft tall is wearing a small glove.
