A suggestion from me would be for second hand buyers. Why not do a 3 or 5 year review of a car you've already done and list how it fares in terms of reliability, typical problems from owners etc ? Most reviewers just move onto the next review and forget about what something is like to own and total cost of ownership.
From across the sea in North Wales, Diolch yn Fawr! Really enjoy the channel and while not currently an EV driver, love jumping in the passenger seat of them... A Renault 5 is on the shopping list. And yes, the Holyhead port situation is utterly bizarre.
Thank you for putting the massive effort in to bring us the viewer an honest reality of these cars,at today's prices you need to make the right choice when considering your new car ,keep up the great work, happy new year to all.
I live in NZ, my Dad was a scouse, and his dad was Irish, so I can sort of relate even though I live a half a world away.. The only main difference here is that we are Chinese supplied based. The Euro ev vehicles are quite dear here, for obvious reasons. This anger will just disappear in a few years, a storm in a teacup inmy opinion!. The future will just dictate what people will buy, and the ev cost will be on par soon and so on. Already happened here in NZ. Subscribed a year ago and appreciate what you are doing.
Id like to see a behind the scenes from A - Z of how your working week is... Who edits your videos. Do you enjoy all the travel. Do you feel burnout doing a job you love. Is reviewing cars a lonely gig.
Massive year for you Nobby, channel and videos have gone from strength to strength. Great to have someone Irish doing high quality and regular reviews. Best of luck for 2025!
I just love this channel. I'm from Northern Ireland and I would love you to highlight the absolutely terrible charging infrastructure here. I just don't understand our Government's push to have no new petrol and diesel by 2030 when they are doing nothing about helping the charging infrastructure plus the car industry doesn't seem to be helping other than Tesla. Is it possible to look at cars you have reviewed in the past and look at them again a year or so down the line? Also, can you review the electric car that you have for your family and give the reason why you chose it over other models. I also agree with you about the anger out there about EVs ....I just don't get it. There was a proposal to build a fast charging station near where I live and the posts on FB were just terrible even to the point some people were threatening violence....get a life. Anyway I think your channel is superb and I love your down to earth reviews.....so keep it ging and I wish you a Happy New Year
Well done Nobby really enjoyed the channel during the year. And agree there is interest in EVs a few guys at work have recently gotten versions makes BYDs, Nissan, VWs, and all seem to love them. Like you said buy what ever floats your boat! Best of luck in 2025!
Thanks for all the hard work you have put in over the past year. Best wishes for 2025 and continuing success with the channel. Thinking of our friend Bob Flavin at this time also.
Welll done on a great year Nobby. Fully agree with the review of three year old, second hand cars, values and issues. A bit of Retro Classic would be welcome to highlighting ownership, insurance and tax costs of having a classic car. Also looking forward to the video on your 911 and outlining the monthly cost of keeping it as a second vehicle. Keep up the great work in 2025. 👏
Great wrap up Nobby! I love watching your reviews just to keep up to date on the market. Even my own dad this year randomly mentioned he found someone really good online who reviews cars and is Irish.....and it just so happened to be you and your channel. 🙂 Well done and let's get your channel to 50k. 👌 👏
I have an EV and a diesel. Love both cars. Watch all your vids even the ones with cars I will never be able to afford and even the ones with brands I don’t like. I like cars and your vids are great 👍🏻
Keep up the good work, I have only come across your videos this year and I have been loving the content. I'd love to get more of your option of who should be looking at the car you are reviewing and maybe get the community tab going more to let please interact outside of the videos
My anger issues with EV'S are for 3 reasons 1 the way the government are just focusing on just EV'S & nothing else let alone any incentives to buy an EV like we used to get with scrapage or massive discounts!!🙄 And 2 the biggest reason is being able to charge the car?? Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to charge the car at home ie right outside of the house!!🙄 3 range is especially the big issue in the real world ie heating on music on AC on wipes on you know where I'm coming from!! Great Christmas thank you & thank you too for all your content!!👌🏻👍🏻 Happy New year fella!!👍🏻
Well done Nobby 👏 love your content, I with you and your family a very happy new year 🎉 your a legend so looking forward too your reviews and yes would love some older cars and some vlogs of your lifestyle with your cars have a good one top man 🎉👊👍
Love your videos, long term subscriber. The frustration people feel towards EV in my opinion is about govt policies forcing people down a path they don’t want to go, especially when you consider EV don’t solve the environmental issue when you factor in whole of life. In Australia, EV has slowed considerably and hybrid is booming. Keep it up, best wishes, look forward to your videos in 2025!
Happy Christmas Mark, love the videos, great tunes on Nova, can't beat it. I (like you I've a feeling) love V8s, V10s, V12s but also love EVs.... supposedly you're not allowed like both 😂 I'd love to see reviews of old cars too, like go get a 535csi and drive with it and see what it's like to drive on the roads these days. My next daily purchase, well you cover them with your current videos but I'll be buying a spare weekend car and that's what I want to know what it's like to live with these days. Keep it up 💪
Thanks for all the videos you have done. Keep up the great work Mark . Merry Christmas and a happy New Year, to you and your family. See you in the new year 👍👍👍👍
Thank you for a great channel. I have enjoyed your approach and delivery. Straight talking and correct information. I drive a Cupra Born with the 58KW usable and treating myself to a new 59KW for January 2025. Love a bit on vintage if possible.
Been watching your videos from the US and, now that we’ve just moved to Ireland, I look forward to continue watching the channel grow and seeing all the great cars you showcase! All the best for 2025!
Great channel Mark, keep up the good work. Got my first EV 20 months ago never going back to ice. Quite like the look of the Cupra Tavascan, should be in the showrooms soon.
Great Videos Mark. Met you at the EV show, and you were very accommodating and gave me time, chatting about your old MX5. Looking forward to 2025s Reviews.
Keep up the humour and honesty in your reviews. Also the videos with other youtubers are great too. Maybe a look at second hand evs and some fud busting would be a suggestion. From a money generation pov, patreon and meet ups would be my suggestions. Have bought you a few coffees so far.
Electric cars are way cheaper to run and maintain, Agree ? They may be slightly more expensive to buy, but that cost and the depreciation pales into insignificance within a few years, Agree ? Good luck 🍀 for 2025...
Well done Nobby. Great year 2024 was. Would love to see you and George Karellas over at soup classic motoring shooting the breeze over a coffee. Maybe discussing an EV retro on that 911? Keep up the good work and that offer of lunch in Skerries still stands anytime your about. 👍 best wishes for 2025 and a projection of 100K+ subs.
ID7 Tourer for the trip to the dump with all the Christmas recycling…you timed that perfectly 👌 Content suggestions would be on the other aspects to car ownership. Maybe a financial planner to independently go through car finance explanations and considerations, a piece on shopping for tyres as the amount of people getting the cheapest possible or even used tyres is concerning, brining an EV through the NCT, guide to buying a used EV such as battery checks, used EV comparison by road tripping a used and new version of the same car to show the battery doesn’t die after three years etc. Just a few ideas off the cuff. Keep up the stellar work 👍
Would like to see a mix of the new cars - cars that people buy as opposd to supercar nonsense - combined with reviews of interesting older or classic cars. I have both a new PHEV and a classic providing what I think is the best of both worlds. I can't be the only one! Love the content, your approach, and your honesty. Best of luck in 2025.
Great reviewer, great content. Keep up the good work Nobby. I like how you include "normal" cars as compared to really expensive ones. Looking forward to next year. Best wishes to you and yours . Thank you.
Like the channel, viewing from the UK. Keep up the EV content - ignore the haters. Some retro content would be interesting - maybe 20%ish? Keep it up and have a great 2025!
Enjoy watching your videos Nobby. Always great insight into the vehicles you review explaining everything in plain layman's terms even bought my new car this year because of your review on it Happy New Year to you all the best for 2025
Started watching in 2024 and because of your great reviews i will continue to view in 2025 ,hope you and your family have a very happy and peaceful new year....
To be honest, there's no reason to be that annoyed by anything. If it's cars, sport or politics maybe switch off until you get to make your choice in the right way, life's too short to be annoyed about issues outside our control. Brilliant year for you and the channel Mark, it's been a pleasure to come along for the ride and watch your content. You're a great reviewer, wishing you and all your family the very best for 2025 🎄🥳
Nobby you reviewed the Renault arkana a few years ago! Fell in love with the car! Placed my order and took your advice on the colour! I'm two years in and still love the car! The colour always gets attention! It's not the quickest but it's super comfy, looks sporty and still to this day I never regretted my FIRST BRAND NEW CAR! Thank you for your service! And let's get more evs and Nike Jordan reviews 😎
Here's a thought: how about a video series called 'Used EV Bargain Hunt'? We could dive deep into specific models like the ID.4 or e-tron, highlighting the best deals and what someone could actually get for their money. We could even debunk those crazy stories about sky-high battery costs - you know, the ones 'a friend of a friend' heard The best value here and in the UK! Keep up the great work
Continued success to you Nobby, just watching your Christmas video and I definitely would suggest videos on your Porsche and the family car as I think it might encourage folk to think about an EV as a family car. As a driver of a hybrid and former diesel driver I'm not quite there yet in terms of EVs but haven't ruled it out in the future, I just had a trip in an Enyaq and by jingo its a flying machine but its not one I could justify due to its cost to buy and insure. I did consider a Hyundai Ioniq 5 as a second hand one was with within budget but as the insurance was twice the price of my then Kadjar I decided against it, my main reason for going hybrid this time was it was cheaper to buy and insure than an EV and I didn't want to go diesel again because I didn't want to be dealing with adblue which my Kadjar didn't use as it was pre-adblue and I was fed up putting adblue into the work van as it seemed like I was the only one doing so. I must have watched your video on the then new Octavia Sportline at least a dozen times but was then disappointed when we weren't getting them in the north until the new model came out this year which put it out of budget tho' I have to say I'm very pleased with my Corolla hybrid Trek. Continued success to you in 2025 and I look forward to seeing more of your videos soon.
Mark, I really hope you get the subscriber numbers up and all those that watch DO hit that subscribe button. I really do enjoy your reviews. Look forward to 2025 reviews - Skoda Elroq 😊. Have a good Christmas and all the best.
Great video mark. Happy new year. Thanks for all the videos. Keep doing what you do. Actually a review of like 3 year old evs would be great as well for people making the Change. Don’t get the anti EV bias at all. A lot are cheaper than new petroleum or diesels. Look at the price of a bog standard quasqai
Well done Nobby on a great year for the videos. Roll on 2025 and soon you’ll hit the 50k subs. Please do some videos on retro cars, on your own family cars and of course all the new ones coming on stream. The EV debate will roll on too…..they’ll suit some and won’t suit others but the real issue getting people rilled up is the perception (real or imaginary) that EV’s are going to be forced on us before the infrastructure is in place and before prices become affordable to the majority of buyers.
Great year of videos Mark. Congratulations on a growing channel with very interesting and useful content. Enjoy the ride!!!! Happy New Year to you, your family and all your viewers and subscribers. 😊
I always enjoy your videos, Mark, very informative, honest and sensible, and you always have a great take on the vehicles you review. Best wishes for the festive season and I hope your channel goes from strength to strength in 2025.
Well done on 2024 ma man, love watching your videos! You’ll hit the 100k subscribers before you know it, you’re a natural at this! Happy New Year to you and yours🤝
I watch your content for the EV content as that is what I’m particularly interested in. But you’ve quickly become one of the channels I will go to whenever a new one comes out.
Congratulations on your channel success Nobby, like watching your reviews especially now we get stats in miles 😁 I don’t understand the EV hate, maybe it’s because the manufacturers didn’t get it right to start with but they are improving fast and the transition is coming like it or not. We have 2 petrol cars but I’m confident enough now to make the switch. Obviously I understand it’s not practical for everyone. Could you revisit the ID4 I think it’s improved a lot. And the Elroc from Skoda.
Many happy returns, Nobby … still loving your review style. Gone EV for 3 years now, but still like to hear about what’s cooking in petrol and diesel land. The odd retro vid (whatever that might be!!) absolutely welcome. As others have said here, your delivery style and content just seems to fit a particular type of viewer - and I’m glad to be one of them ! All the very best wishes to you and your family for the coming year. 🙏🏼
Well done. Definitely some used car content in the context of the Irish market would be well received. Not everyone can afford to buy new cars. A 3 year old premium can be a lot more appealing than a brand new Tuscon if you can handle being out of warranty. Maybe even a review of aftermarket warranties available or decent used approved schemes etc.
Well deserved Nobby! The thank you message to subscribers is a nice touch…….. genuine to the last…. Just like your content. Best of luck for 2025! I think a review of 5-10yr old Porsche and bmw would be interesting!
Great job Nobby. Love the show. Bought a Citroen C5X based on your review and we absolutely love the car. It was everything you said it would be and more. Ill be viewing in 2025.
Nobby, as feedback, I'm uninterested on vids on classic cars. Electric is the way forward for most of us. I've had our EV a year and only used a public charger three times. Easy peasy. Hydrogen would be good but the infrastructure is perhaps two decades away (much nearer for fleets of course). Many thanks for your honest and informative reviews. Good luck for 2025 from a South Londoner.
I would like to see some longer trips with ev’s and caravans, such as the ev9. The only thing that winds me up is the new design language ( cheapness) of BMW. Thanks!
Just bought a 251 cupra e Formentor diesel, unfortunately do over 40k a year and the infrastructure in Ireland is just not good enough yet for EV’s which is what is putting me off especially as I am in a rural part would like to see more investment in that area before making the change,no problem with Ev cars just wish the government would commit more to it
Thanks for all your work, running a (much smaller) channel myself I know how much work is involved. I totally agree with you about EVs, that's all I'm interested in. But I don't understand why they make people angry. All the best for 2025 PS I'm visiting northern Ireland at the moment and despite what I had heard, the charging where I am hasn't improved much since I was last here in an ev, yesterday there were no rapid chargers working here so I had to sit for 90 minutes in a car park watching Netflix while I topped up enough to get back to Edinburgh tomorrow.
That's a real mess. ESB have started to install some in NI but with Irish and UK government not really getting involved in the North, it's evident how little care is being shown.
@NobbyOnCars yeah it's not great. I mean there is a twin 150 kW BP pulse charger about 500 metres from where I was sitting but it's been off line for days now
Merry Christmas Mark. Loved all the vids across 2024. Best of luck for 2025. Any chance of a Model 3 performance review? Would be interested to hear your thoughts.
Great to see/hear you today is 911 air-cooled ? If you want the input on ev thing reach out as I have 2 one for the Hart and one for the head .... Keep the tunes coming Maybe a bit of the car seen here both classic and jdm ....
Strange that you'd sooner understand passion manifesting as anger when the subject is football but not cars given the channel's affiliation. And yes, would love to see more classic/old car reviews.
Most angry football fans are angry over stuff they understand. Most EV moans are from people who do not own one and have heard stuff third hand or read it in the Daily Mail.
It’s always good to get an Irish perspective on cars - thanks for that - but I miss the days of the expansive Paris motor show and variety of cars. Too much ‘sameness’ of design these days I think.
I enjoy your videos m8. Christmas greetings from England. Retro stuff is interesting too. I won't buy an EV until I have to. They look nice but not for me.
In my view a good reviewer gives his OWN opinion. I would prefer when you reviewed a car, you compared it against its opposition in class and specifically compared it price wise for a comparable model. Essentially answer the question "who I buy this if I had this budget" and explain why or why you would buy something else.
To be honest Mark, between the big shiny baubles and your head.... I was getting slightly blinded there! (From one bald Irishman to another) Keep up the good work in 2025.... I'd love to see a driving review of the BMW 120 F70 Happy New Year!
No anger towards EV here bud not so keen being shoved towards them before they are are as codt effective as IC no level playing field due to taxation incentives and the better off tend to benefit the most needs a rethink at government level when it's the best vehicle for my use case at price I'm willing to pay I will happily buy one. Your most popular stuff tends to be the more affordable loved the Swift one, do a best used Caterham one love those bit niche but brilliant things very analogue.
A suggestion from me would be for second hand buyers. Why not do a 3 or 5 year review of a car you've already done and list how it fares in terms of reliability, typical problems from owners etc ? Most reviewers just move onto the next review and forget about what something is like to own and total cost of ownership.
Especially second hand elec vehicles.

Thanks for all the videos buddy had a look at your test on the cupra terramar and I have ordered one hopefully February for delivery
Best wishes from the UK Nobby, hope you have a great 2025
I watch your content for the EV content as that is what I’m particularly interested in. But you’ve quickly become one of the channels I will go to whenever a new one comes out.
Congratulations on your channel success Nobby, like watching your reviews especially now we get stats in miles 😁
I don’t understand the EV hate, maybe it’s because the manufacturers didn’t get it right to start with but they are improving fast and the transition is coming like it or not.
We have 2 petrol cars but I’m confident enough now to make the switch. Obviously I understand it’s not practical for everyone.
Could you revisit the ID4 I think it’s improved a lot. And the Elroc from Skoda.
Love your videos. Really informative and interesting. Best wishes and continued success for 2025.
Great, informative videos during the year Mark. Keep up the excellent content and good luck on the 50k.
Happy New Year from Wales!
Really enjoy your videos, Mark. All the best, 2025.
Great job Nobby. Love the show. Bought a Citroen C5X based on your review and we absolutely love the car. It was everything you said it would be and more. Ill be viewing in 2025.
Thank you Nobby. Does the family wonder who this strange bloke is, thinking he's entitled to Christmas dinner?!
🤣
Love the reviews, keep going from strength to strength 🚘🚘
I love cars and I love Christmas FM. Thank you for both.
Loving the videos Mark, keep up the good work 👏
Thanks Dan!
Great reviews, thanks for keeping me up to date on Irish market
Keep them coming Nobby. Maybe videos on some very good value from the second hand market would garner additional interest to the channel.
Thanks for great content all year Mark, happy new year 🎉
Same to you Paul
🎄🎄🎄Happy Christmas Nobby, And Have A Great New Year, Keep Up The Good Work🎄🎄🎄
I would like to see some longer trips with ev’s and caravans, such as the ev9.
All the best for 2025
PS I'm visiting northern Ireland at the moment and despite what I had heard, the charging where I am hasn't improved much since I was last here in an ev, yesterday there were no rapid chargers working here so I had to sit for 90 minutes in a car park watching Netflix while I topped up enough to get back to Edinburgh tomorrow.
That's a real mess. ESB have started to install some in NI but with Irish and UK government not really getting involved in the North, it's evident how little care is being shown.
@NobbyOnCars yeah it's not great. I mean there is a twin 150 kW BP pulse charger about 500 metres from where I was sitting but it's been off line for days now
Retro / iconic retro car videos would be great. Even some hydrogen, if you can get your hands on one. Also, I know its done alot but range tests
Merry Christmas Mark. Loved all the vids across 2024. Best of luck for 2025. Any chance of a Model 3 performance review? Would be interested to hear your thoughts.
All the very best to you and yours for 25
Great to see/hear you today is 911 air-cooled ? If you want the input on ev thing reach out as I have 2 one for the Hart and one for the head ....
Keep the tunes coming
Maybe a bit of the car seen here both classic and jdm ....
Budget didn’t quite go to 993 sadly.
Great reviews Mark keep them coming for 25
Happy New Year! Love your reviews
Thanks all the content mate, love the videos, happy new year!!!!
Love all your HONEST comments and reviews on all the cars.. Have a great 2025. I'm thinking about the KIA EV 3.. YES OR N0..
EV3 is a good option if you want to go electric yes.
Just subscribed. 😂. Wonder what you would recommend to change from a 2021 id3 pro to...happy new year 😊
my parents are going from exactly that to an Elroq anyway!
Great content Mark, really enjoyed the reviews, keep up the good work.Superb Sportline review early in the new year 🙏
Should’ve asked if anyone was buying anything new in 2025, good choice !
Looking at one, 62k with the options, have a 221 vrs petrol, I'll miss it, thinking of the diesel, wont be the same
Thanks! Keep up the good work. Love your reviews
All the best from Porto, Portugal
Thanks for watching!
Just one idea, if I may. Are you planning a review on id7 tourer?
@@amarojpc filming it over the next few days...
Enjoyed the Range Rover Sport Hybrid video - thanks 👏 👏
Strange that you'd sooner understand passion manifesting as anger when the subject is football but not cars given the channel's affiliation. And yes, would love to see more classic/old car reviews.
Most angry football fans are angry over stuff they understand. Most EV moans are from people who do not own one and have heard stuff third hand or read it in the Daily Mail.
It’s always good to get an Irish perspective on cars - thanks for that - but I miss the days of the expansive Paris motor show and variety of cars. Too much ‘sameness’ of design these days I think.
Best wishes from Sweden
Was there with Skoda a couple of years ago and Volvo a few months ago, what a place!
Great & useful reviews.
Thanks Ray appreciate it
I enjoy your videos m8. Christmas greetings from England. Retro stuff is interesting too. I won't buy an EV until I have to. They look nice but not for me.
Nobby hope you got a new comb for Christmas 😂😂 happy new year
The EV content is the most interesting to me.
Hi Nobby could you review the new version of Tucson Phev please
In my view a good reviewer gives his OWN opinion. I would prefer when you reviewed a car, you compared it against its opposition in class and specifically compared it price wise for a comparable model. Essentially answer the question "who I buy this if I had this budget" and explain why or why you would buy something else.
Id7? That’s an interesting prospect
To be honest Mark, between the big shiny baubles and your head.... I was getting slightly blinded there! (From one bald Irishman to another)
Keep up the good work in 2025.... I'd love to see a driving review of the BMW 120 F70
Happy New Year!
Waiting on the Alfa Junior hybrid review, won’t be going electric for the foreseeable future
Mid Jan I'll have it!
👍
No anger towards EV here bud not so keen being shoved towards them before they are are as codt effective as IC no level playing field due to taxation incentives and the better off tend to benefit the most needs a rethink at government level when it's the best vehicle for my use case at price I'm willing to pay I will happily buy one.
Your most popular stuff tends to be the more affordable loved the Swift one, do a best used Caterham one love those bit niche but brilliant things very analogue.
Plenty of used ones knocking around now. 3 year old ID4s going for low 20s now, probably sub 20s by March.
28 day period = February
