Wearing linen in a hot climate is a must, getting a nice breeze on a hot day is sublime. You make the short sleeve shirt work. Mens Style RUclipsrs generally advise to avoid, but if it it fits well I think it is a good option.
I usually wear t-shirts to work on most summer days but this year I've switched to wearing short sleeve button down shirts. Wow they are cooler in most instances and I've received numerous compliments. Best part is for me at least, I have a Goodwill right up the road and spend barely nothing on the shirts and look pretty good in the end. You would be surprised at what you can find. In style or not I need to stay cooler at work and this helps.
Hey mate, I just have to say that over the years you've been one of my favourite youtubers and that you've inspired me on my sartorial journey. As a fellow (well not actually, but i lived there for 10 years growing up) Australian, you're doing a great job and keep on doing what you're doing!
In my personal opinion all the shirts look and fit great except the Teddy Stratford shirt. Something about it being so see through just doesn't look good.
Hey Nick, would you be able to get your hands on a Gypsy bag from Grey Ghost Gear? I'd love to see you do a review on it. Specifically how you think it holds up against other canvas bags you've reviewed in the past like the bm wilder and tg koru.
oh boy well they might but I didn't try! for a chesty boi like me the fit test is whether or not the buttons gap at the chest but I recognize and respect the top button rule
the collars on these all look a little deformed :/ I think they're supposed to be buttoned all the way up or worn openly, I think you would look better in a cuban collar shirt instead! just a suggestion:)
Yes, I prefer solids, although to be honest the only time I'd consider a pattern is on a short sleeved button down! I'm not against it. In models like these. Not a fan in long sleeves or on tees though.
I will never see a short sleeve shirt and not think it looks dorky. I will wear a long sleeved shirt and roll up the sleeves every single time before wearing a short sleeved one
I almost always do that and I don't think I ever wear short sleeve button downs with long pants, but I don't mind the way I've styled them here - and sometimes it feels too hot to have the cloth covering my elbows, the sleeves get all sweaty!

Yeah they can be pretty hard to make work, I appreciate your support Tommy!

I had no idea casual shirtsleeve button ups were controversial
I know right, look at the other comments here - folks either hating them or acknowledging how controversial they are haha
Dwight rules!

Alessio, it's so nice of you to reach out and say so! That made my day, I really appreciate it.
A button down is a shirt with buttons on the end of the collars. A shirt with buttons in the center is called a button up shirt.
Not in America
I still have a Sean Jean short sleeve linen shirt from 2015 in my closet ready to go.
Grown and sown for me, like the colour, and drape.
They'll be glad to hear it! They've become good friends since the Best Red Wings video i filmed in their store
I live in CA and we make use of short sleeves just fine. Also good for church.
I'm a Desoto man myself, I live in them in the summer now.
Thanks Nick!
*looks at rack of ss button downs I bought this past summer* Mens modern fashion is very interesting, atm...
Woah I've never been so early to a stridewise video before! Nice!
welcome!!!

Nothing like linen guys.

that's white linen for ya, but the chest pockets! they help so much! it comes in a few other colors though
You’re wearing the Grown and Sewn shirt tucked 😉
Why are button down shirts risk? I just ordered the GS Dean shirt. Pretty expensive for a button down shirt but hopefully I like it.
Great video 👍🏿
Appreciate it Richard!

I’m always looking for another canvas bag - thanks for the rec mr bateman!
I try to always go for the double pocket button downs due to my bigger than average nipples 😂 nice choices man!
Nice thumbnail 😆
What’s up with your eyebrows in this video Nick?
Ah I accidentally cut off a chunk while trimming them, oops
Shouldn't the test for fit be whether you can button the top button comfortably even if worn unbuttoned. None of your shirts seem to pass this test!

I take it you're not a fan of interesting prints and designs in your button downs? Seems like you stuck to basic solid pieces.
